Stopped in for lunch. Hubs and I are doing Paelo right now. Very accommodating to our diet. Ordered chicken fajitas, no rice no beans no tortillas no sour cream. They added extra veggies and guac. Tasted great.

Chips and the cabage salsa are really good here. Large food portions and friendly people, in a smaller then average restaurant.

I don’t write reviews often but felt this was necessary. This is the best Mexican food that I have had in a long time! The only con id say is that the food took a while to prepare but it was absolutely delicious! And the service was great and it is clear that the employees here are very hard and committed workers! I highly recommend!

Wonderful food, huge portions, margaritas are fantastic and don’t skimp on the fresh lime juice or tequila.

I am from a blended family and generally cringe when I have to eat Americanized Mexican food. The food here was delicious. Really tasty fish tacos. Highly recommend.

Everything was 3-star until, on my way out, I watched a waitress dip a piece of silverware in a pitcher of water, which was sitting with a row of other pitchers waiting to go out to customers. I’m not sure why, but regardless, use a sink. Service was slow to bring out the check. Food was pretty good.

Second time I’ve been here… once before from Hanging Lake and most recently on business. Both times, it has been relatively free of patrons, which makes me wonder how it stays in business, but I guess it’s one of the only things going on in town. This past time, there were 9 of us who needed a fast lunch. We showed up around 2 and needed to be out the door by 2:55(shame on us for forcing a fast pace), but our server obliged. She took all the orders, threw them to the kitchen and got chips and salsa out to us, quick(Stan was about to die from hunger, or so he said, so that speed was appreciated). When the food came out, it was good/satisfactory. No mistakes, and decent taste. We had everything from flautas to chimichangas, tacos to other ameri-mex food. My flautas were small(comparable more to the size of taquitos), and overall filling, and our server came in with enough chips to fill the gaps. Ozzie ordered a chimichanga and said the steak was pretty good in hers, but she avoided the flour shell.(on a side note– I don’t htink she knew what to expect when ordering a chimichanga because Stan maued down on his with no complaints). The pitchers of margarita were pretty large… 2 pitchers and each glass would be about the size of a pint glass~ with 6 of the 9 of us drinking, it ended up that each person got roughly 2 pint size glasses of margs for $ 30(Cortney bumped up the Tequilla from house to Hornitos) so roughly $ 3 a drink. The restaurant itself is a tiny little thing a few blocks from the hot springs, and the décor on the inside made me think of an older diner, slightly grungy due to age–(not a knock against the cleanliness)… but it made me feel grateful for some of my Denver hotspots that feel more lounge-able. It could host a big party(whole back room), but I would expect slow service, because the other guests didn’t get much attention because we had the largest group and as a result demanded most of the server’s time… Poor girl didn’t have much help for the lunch rush.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Nice and easy stroll across the street from the Hotel Colorado. The free chips and salsa were delicious and fresh.

We’ve been on a road trip for the past 12 days and have had crummy mexican food, but this is decent. I reserve 4&5 stars for above average and excellent, so the knock on this place is just for the high price to add carne asada to nachos($ 5!). I just wanted a sprinkle of meaty goodness. Oh, and the hardshell tacos(more on that later). My wife and I ordered the Taquitos combo and the Taco & enchillada combo for lunch. The rice was good, not wet or dry, just a good fluffyness with the added bonus of peas & corn. Beans were good too with a fair amount of cheese. The Taquitos were chicken. Not dry, the tortilla was a good crisp not overcooked at all. The guac, sour cream, and the produce tasted fresh. My taco was good in the sense or the shredded beef being moist and nicely salted. The shell seemed like stock restaurant taco shells, better than the bland store bought shells from other stops, but it could be better if made in house. The enchillada was a surprise. The shredded beef and sauce(you must specify if you want only cheese) had a good interplay and the beef was juicy, not overcooked at all. Enchilada sauce was good. Overall, service was good, food decent. If I lived here, it’d be a place i’d visit again…

We come here every time we are in Glenwood as we generally stay at the Hot Springs Lodge. So it’s walking distance. Service has always been good. Margs are awesome. Heck, I could just have the gratis chips and salsa and margs. Food is just fine. Not awesome mexican, but it is fresh(albeit likely microwaved since the plates are HOT). Sopapillas are to die for. This place is a regular stop for us. If you’re not a Mexican food snob, come here! TIP: They have these small menus at Sunlight ski area and at local hotels. Fiesta Guadalajara has one that will give you 50% off an entrée assuming you buy at least two entrees. Grab one of these mini menus.

Sometimes it seems like all of the Mexican restaurants in Colorado share a central kitchen and this was no exception. Pretty standard fare, the fajitas were hot and tasty and margs were cold and tasty. Not the most in-depth review ever, I’ll grant you that… but there are just SOMANY Mexican restaurants around CO that have seemingly the exact same menu that there is rarely anything to make a place stand out.

Traditional Mexican style restaurant, ambiance all the way down to the festive music when you are greeted at the door. Pedro met us at door with a smile and was very charismatic throughout out meal. The meal was delicious! The pre-meal gratis chips and salsa were the kind momma makes. Spinach enchiladas and beef fajitas were very flavorful and the portions were generous. I highly recommend this authentic hidden gem!
