It’s bullet point time! Made reservations here for a birthday dinner here and here is the low-down: *Grey Goose martini, up & dirty with olives — not as dirty as I would have expected. Visually, I couldn’t tell that it was but I drank it as served. *Wild Dungeness Crab Cakes roasted red pepper aioli — very good crab cakes and a yummy sauce that made a nice accompaniment. *Classic Caesar Salad, chopped romaine hearts, parmigiano-reggiano, sans focaccia croutons — fine, nothing noteworthy *Roasted Duck Breast with Orange-Chipotle Sauce marinated in olive oil, balsamic, garlic and rosemary, oven roasted, herbed polenta cake, roasted baby carrots, pickled ginger — a love! The chipotle sauce was sweet but not overbearingly so and my duck was cooked a very nice medium with a little pink in side. *Coffee with Frangelico — with a little whip cream, too, it was as expected *Classic Crème Brulee — fair. It was a little lacking in vanilla flavor. I find crème brûlée’s to be best when they are made with fresh vanilla beans. The melted sugar was spare. There was a lot of unburnt sugar in my dessert. Never had that happen before and I probably wouldn’t order this again. Overall it wasn’t bad. I enjoyed much of my meal and we had excellent service all around. There are definitely other entrees, apps, and desserts that I would love to try next time like the seared tuna steak, escargot, and perhaps the pan fried oysters. The place is great for a little celebrating whether it be for a group or for a date. Parking is plentiful but it is next to a movie theater so circling for parking and walking could be expected.

Two stars for the service, which was good. The food? Bland, overpriced and overcooked(pretty good description for Gig Harbor itself). I had the herb and ricotta meatballs with pasta and red sauce. Meatballs were bland with very little flavor, sauce and pasta were passable, parmesan cheese was flavorless(i.e. cheap parmesan). All of this for only $ 22! I’ve had better pasta at an Olive Garden(which is the very definition of mediocre pasta). My girlfriend had the charbroiled molasses french-cut pork chops with fingerling potatoes and an abundance of spicy mustard sauce. She’s still trying to extract the dried remains from her teeth this morning. We’re talking bone dry here people. The fingerling potatoes had the opposite problem — undercooked and rubbery. At least there was a ton of spicy mustard sauce to cover the taste of everything. The fried calamari appetizer was the highlight of the dinner, which isn’t saying much. Gig Harbor has an abundance of bland and overpriced restaurants. Somebody needs to come to town and raise the bar higher.

We came here for early dinner before a movie on Friday night, the restaurant was less than half full. The atmosphere is great, enjoyed the fireplace. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. We shared the ahi stack which was tasty if not a little pricey at $ 19. I had the duck breast which was delicious but there was too much sauce swimming on my plate; the polenta cake needed a little salt but otherwise had a good flavor. Lastly we shared the chocolate torte which was admittedly from a local bakery but the presentation was lovely and it tasted great, so who cares! We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing I mean amazing food. We had the butternut squash with lobster and fettuccine with tiger prawns; both dishes were amazing truly some of the best food in Gig Harbor and Tacoma. Ok so why 3 stars. Ok so the meal was expensive 35 for lobster and 27 or so for fettuccine, ok not bad really but what needs to come with it is service. Let me set the stage… Saturday night(730pm), fairly busy(about 80% full) and we sat at the bar. We were greeted immediately and drink and food orders with recommendations came very quick. But once we had completely our first wines that was it, no one came around. I kept looking at our waiter/bartender and he was busy, but still had to be 7 – 10 minutes at least. There was another bartender but she seemed to really have no purpose I saw her walk around the bar, fill water and it was not until the wife said loudly«can we please get another drink» did we get help. Well that seemed to change everything because service got way better. So here is my thoughts… I will definitely give them a try again, but if you are going to charge top-notch food prices, like Seattle, you better have top-notch service. Too many good places to eat and not have to pay 6 bucks to cross the bridge.

The service and atmosphere is great, the food and menu options are great, but the actual quality of taste and prices of the food was highly disappointing. $ 80 for two people, not including drinks. The food solely tasted like burnt grill. I didn’t even take more than a few bites. Won’t come back.

My girlfriend and I went to the Greenhouse in Gig Harbor on 8÷24÷2015 for our first time:) We have heard some recent raves about this place from other fellow friends/residents we know in Gig Harbor so it was time to check out the twilight menu as it offers a pretty good value(before 6pm) I had the Pork Chop and my girlfriend had the flat iron steak .My expectations were pretty high and they delivered on all ends ! Food was amazing !-Jody our server was as good as it gets and we will definitely be heading back as often as possible to taste more items on the menu. The twilight menu had most items under 20.00 and include a choice of soup or salad and desert .The garden salad was the best i have ever tasted ! seriously amazing variety and flavors you HAVE to try this. I don’t often give 5 stars on Unilocal reviews as I am a pretty hard critic but this time its well deserved ! KUDOSGREENHOUSE ! you have an AMAZINGCHEF!!! see you soon. Peter & Cindy

The service was nice but we’re accustomed to receiving WAAAAAAAAY better food quality at this price point in Seattle. The ahi tuna stack was the best dish of the night but the portion size was too small for the price. It was over-salted due to an excess of soy sauce but the flavors were solid. It was weird that they also included an additional ½ cup of soy sauce on the side, nobody could possibly use anywhere near that much with a dish this small so it felt wasteful and makes it seem like they are not at all familiar with asian/Hawaiian cuisine. The chips should be served separately from the ahi & guac so they don’t get soggy. Tommy Bahama, of all places, serves a better ahi poke & guac dish at half the price. Here’s the recipe: The cauliflower & cheese appetizer badly needed salt, it tasted like plain roasted cauliflower and melted cheese. I don’t understand how this receives rave reviews on Unilocal.I was dipping it in soy sauce, from the ahi tuna stack, to add some sodium to bring out some flavor. The clam chowder was bland and disappointing. We ordered the cioppino, a dish that I order every now and then in Italian restaurants. It’s basically an American riff on an Italian seafood stew. It tasted like unseasoned seafood in unseasoned plain tomato sauce — worst cioppino I’ve ever had. It’s too bad because the seafood was plentiful but the lack of seasoning was _unforgivable_. The server was nice and offered to take it off the bill when she noticed we didn’t eat it and didn’t want to take the leftovers home. We tipped very generously because we felt bad for the server but the kitchen should never have sent this garbage food out. Everything was under-seasoned or over-seasoned. Does anyone in the kitchen taste dishes before they go out? The large menu should be pared down to a few dishes that they can actually deliver on. This was the most overpriced meal I’ve paid for in a long time, the food was borderline inedible. FAIL Morso is still the only place I’ve found to offer decent food in Gig Harbor.

Every star is warranted! This place has fresh ingredients, creativity, and wonderful people combined! We started out with wonderful craft beer and cider. Then fresh clam chowder that was super creamy. The dungeones crab cakes were divine. Then we moved on to some great meals. The seafood salad had prawns, bay scallops and other seafood on a bed of spinach. It was wonderful and fresh. The Halibut special was encrusted with Parmesan and dressed with a wonderful sauce. The pesto potatoes topped off the wonderful dish. The flourless chocolate torte topped off this meal incredibly!

Greenhouse is the best Happy Hour in Gig Harbor! We go at least once a week. I love going there to eat and the staff is so friendly! Gail and her husband have done a wonderful job with this restaurant.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I went in here for the first time last night with a buddy because we heard they had great steaks. and boy-oh-boy do they ever! We both had the rib eye cooked at medium rare. It was perfect when it came out(it’s really hard for restaurants to get a good medium rare/rare)! The steaks came with whipped russet potatoes and steam broccoli and seasoned mushrooms. They served hot, fresh bread with butter while we were waiting for the steaks. Our server Kim was prompt, fantastic, and knew the menu inside and out. I’ll definitely be coming back here!

A mellow, friendly restaurant with an assured NW menu. The happy hour menu, especially a mondo burger, is a good value, emphatically better than most snack-heavy happy hours. Strong service — Cynthia is always friendly and professional. No concepts, no head-pounding music, no silliness — just good food creatively executed. Consistently excellent.

Very recently we were part of a large group dinner at the Greenhouse Restaurant in Gig Harbor. It was very good but a little hard to find with either Siri or Google-map. Because of the large group. 40 plus with small kids. we had a limited number of entries to choose from so we didn’t get to try the whole menu. The wait staff was very attentive and got to everyone in a timely manner. The food and drinks got out to almost everyone hot and fast! Not a big fan of the clam chowder and the well drinks were on the expensive side! But all in all we had a very good meal and great service for such a large group!

Came here for lunch the other day. I had the vegetarian pasta primavera. It was good. The pasta had a ton of vegetables and the portion was a good size. I would definitely order that again. The restaurant inside was really nice. I felt like the prices were a little on the high side, but it is Gig Harbor. Overall, a good lunch spot.
