Studio Six has hit the JackPot with their new stylist, Jill Stocking! She listens, learns, teaches and does a fantastic job! I sent a picture ahead of time and she made sure she had the skills necessary to make it happen! I especially love how she takes her time to do an awesome job! Thanks Jill!!! Everyone loves it! :)

Where do I even start. Our visit was terrible from start to finish. We scheduled our appointment at 4:30 for a cut and color, and my friends at 4:30 for a color. I asked for a price quote on the telephone since I did not have access to a computer at the time and could not see their website. They told me on the telephone that it would be $ 40 – 50 for the cut, and $ 50 – 60 for the color. We arrived, my friend no later than 4:35, but she was driving here from Bremerton, and this location is a little tricky to find. When she walked in, her stylist, Jill, was so rude pushing her to sit down quickly«we are already running so far behind.» Five minutes at the most does not seem to be «so far behind.» When she was walking in she told them she wanted a black to silver fade, Jill said that it would look good on her. She sits her down and looks at some of the photos of the style and then says she will have to talk to the other stylists. I appreciate her consulting, but it didn’t need to take almost 25 minutes. She comes back and says that it wouldn’t be possible. That is when we should have left. But, my friend decided that, since Jill said that if we lifted her hair color that was already on, there would be red tones left over, that we wanted to enhance those red tones and make the hair black to fire truck red on the tips. A different stylist heard us talking and said it would be possible and it would look really good on her. When Jill finally came back from the back room, she said it wouldn’t be possible. We asked her why not since it made sense to us and we just wanted to understand, but she couldn’t tell us anything and just told us she would do a test strip of a color strip. The color did not strip and so she decided to put bleach on my friend’s hair. Not listening to her about how she wanted the red to go as far up as possible, almost to the roots, and only putting bleach on the first inch at most of her tips. Then putting black on her roots. As she was painting the black on, my friend had to ask her a few times to please be more gentle as it was hurting her. When I looked over to see her progress, she was almost in tears. Very frustrating. Finally, after she went in the back for the 5th time for over 10 minutes to consult her books, we wanted to just be done. We asked her to simply wash out the dye and that we were done. She looked all offended and goes, «Have I said something to offend you?» We explained what our frustrations were and she said she was only doing what she was asked to do. When I was working with my stylist, Steve,(Steve has 30 years of experience which I was really excited about.) he did not make my hair the color we wanted, it was supposed to be a cool toned, ashy, honey brown. It is an auburn brown. The color itself is not terrible, it isn’t what I wanted, but it is kinda pretty. The bigger problem is that there are literal splotches of dark color on my hair. It is so noticeable that I have to wear my hair in a pony tail or bun every single day. As he was drying my hair, I kept asking him to be more gentle as he was hitting my cartilage piercing and it was really hurting. He nodded and kept going, hitting it several more times. When he got to the other side of my head, he actually pulled my earring out! I told him it fell and can I get it, he said we could in a second. A few seconds later he stepped on it. He was hitting it against the floor saying, «what is stuck on my shoe??» I told him it was my earring and lo and behold, it was. He pulled it off and broke the post in his shoe. The color had been scraped off my earring and the post was all bent up and broke off. He didn’t even apologize. They were matching earrings with my sister and niece, so that sucks a bunch. After my appointment, my upper piercing he kept hitting was bleeding and swollen. The cut was great though. I am not trying to bash his cutting. At the end of my visit I was charged way more than what I was quoted, I said something, and they told me that there are salon pricing that I probably don’t understand. I felt so belittled. When I came back in the next day to tell the owner, Shawna Shelton, about my poor experience and show her my splotchy hair and broken earring, she was very rude about it. She kept saying she wants to make me happy and love my hair, but wouldn’t refund any of my money except for the retail purchase that I made.(Which was a shampoo and conditioner that I thought he used on me in the back, but when I asked Jill, she said they didn’t have it.) I asked to be refunded and she said she wants to make it right, so she called over the stylist and asked him if we could fix it. He said yes, with more dying. That, of course, I would still have to pay for. I was so mad. Why would I want someone who ruined the first dye job to dye my hair again?! I told her about my friend and how her hair is breaking off at the ends thanks to the bleach and she didn’t even apologize. She said, «oh yeah, I heard about that.» DONOTCOME

I had an extremely disappointing experience here! I was on time for my appointment and sat in the waiting area for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my existence. I was told it would be a «few minutes» while she finished with another customer. That turned into 45 minutes. Then she asked me if I had brought any pictures of what I wanted done and seemed surprised that I had not. A professional knows how to choose color based on my existing hair color/highlights and a discussion of what I want. I was unimpressed and now concerned that this person didn’t know what they were doing, so I left before things could get any worse. I will never go back and would caution anyone that is looking for a salon.

Come to this salon if you would like Erica Six to destroy your marriage as she will use her clients personal numbers to gain access into their lives, stopping at nothing: nude texting, hotel hook ups,(yes that means sleeping with), dates, you name it Erica is NOT professional. This is a MARRIED man, with a family. When I tried to contact the salon in regards to this matter, they swept it under the rug, and looked the other way.

I went to Studio Six for a wax after buying a groupon. The atmosphere and staff there were very professional, but the wax was terrible. I have had brazilians before and they were nowhere near as painful as this experience. My past experiences with brazilian waxing has been a 15 minute experience that was no doubt painful(you are ripping out all your hair in a sensitive place) but have been quick and after the rip the pain dissipates. My experience at studio six was 45 minutes of horrible pain. The woman doing my wax kept waxing over the same spots and rather than using hard wax down the middle, she used strips the whole time, causing much more pain. When it was all over and done, I had quite a few patches of hair left that she could not get, as well as patches that she just did not wax as well. Overall, I would not go back and would not recommend it to anyone else.

Very professional and I love the atmosphere at this salon. Addtionally, the location of the salon is perfect, downtown next to some great shops. Everyone there is friendly and talented. I love and enjoy my new cut from Jill. I know there are a lot of salons in the area but this one is a true gem!

Unilocal reviews brought us into Studio Six and they were for sure accurate! My two sisters and I went in for a cut and Jill took great care of us. She is the sweetest! The prices are great and everybody is so sweet. If your going in for a trim or cut be sure to ask for Jill!

I did not own a Unilocal account but I specificity made one to tell my concerns. I wouldn’t even rate this salon a one star if I could. My first impression was a nice looking salon with what I’ve heard, nice staff — main reason why I chose to come here. The staff are very rude, unprofessional and not trained to do their jobs correctly. I would avoid this place at all costs and save your money for elsewhere. I was very upset with my experience at this salon and did not receive any apology as they stated the outcome was from my cause. I will not be returning.

My wife and I went to Studio Six for day spa treatments with Kathy Johnson and two other practitioners. The treatments were fantastic, and the space has a very nice ambiance. I’m usually not a huge fan of mall locations, but it’s right next door to Green House Restaurant, which made for a lovely afternoon of good food and blissful spa treatments.

I have no review regarding the salon itself. It has a massage therapist, Kathy Johnson. She is outstanding. Make sure you ask for Kathy Johnson.

Studio Six offers massages! I want to review Kathy Johnson who is moving to Studio Six from Blue Moon massage. First of all, she is one of the best massage therapists I have ever known and I have been to a lot of them. Kathy is offering packages of 4 for $ 200 for one hour massages and possibly others, but that is a great deal. She is willing to focus on whatever part of your body you want massaged or she will give you a relaxing massage that will soothe your aches and pains. Her number is 253– 225‑1281. Call her! You won’t be disappointed!
