Absolutely dynamite! This was one of the best finds. Shrimp and grits were awesome, cheesecake was amazing with a caramelized sugar crust. Definitely coming back!

We had a great evening here. We chose it for the Happy Hour but enjoyed everything about the experience. The evening starts with a complimentary glass of champagne. Then we ordered several plates from the Happy Hour menu including the ribs, bruschetta and a crab salad. We tried a signature drink, a glass of Velvet Devil merlot and their special carrot cake. Everything was wonderful. The server was friendly and it was fun to chat with her. We highly recommend Brix 25. We just wish it was closer to our home.

I have to give Brix 25 a one star. The hostess and wait staff were very polite but the meal was horrible. I ordered the steak(w/cheesecake?) medium. Before the steak arrived I requested a glass of wine. I did taste the wine presented to me with some questions about the taste. The waitress then poured this wine to the rim of my wine glass and left the empty bottle on the table. After a couple of taste of the wine(which had a very bad after taste), I realized this wine was very old and had been uncorked for quite some time. My food arrived shortly after the steak was well and bathed in salt. The little cheese cake? I don’t know what it was, it was not cheese cake. I don’t return food to kitchen when I go to a restaurant, I do however let the waitress know how displeased I was. She did offer to take the wine off of the bill. I respectfully declined paid my bill and will not return. I have had an upset stomach and can still taste the vinegar wine that was served. I do not recommend this restaurant.

We chose Brix 25 for our 10th anniversary dinner, and were delighted. The service was friendly and flawless, and the food was beyond expectations. When you go to a restaurant with $$$ on its Unilocal, you do expect a certain level of gourmet and delicious, but Brix 25 exceeded that. The food had us floored. The Pork Belly appetizer was divine. The arugula with bacon and golden raisin salad was an experience in itself. The steak with the«onion cheesecake» was mind boggling. And then the Boeuf Bourguignon left us speechless. What chocolate mousse is to dessert, this Boeuf Bourguignon is to dinner. Whenever we go back, the Boeuf Bourguignon will be ordered. The cocktail I ordered with my meal was uniquely PNW and delicious(and strong). The champagne and wine were well chosen. But the highlight was the«Not Your Grandmother’s» Tiramisu. This was an experience in itself. It, also, will be ordered on any return visits. It cannot even be described, but it is NOT like any tiramisu you’ve ever tried before. It’s 10x better.

Great little restaurant that is standing the test of time. Try the specialty cocktails and happy hour for reasonable libations.

All in all the food & service was not worth the price they’re asking. This is not fine dinning. Food — My pan roasted chicken was moist and well seasoned. My husband ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon(the server said was their most popular) and it turned out extremely salty and my husband didn’t even finish his meal since it made him feel sick. The Crème Brulee — that was fantastic, which isn’t hard to mess up. Service — We had a reservation at 8:15. We were there 10 minutes early, and were not seated until 8:45. A reservation is meaningless if you are not seated on time. Atmosphere — There are lots of choices for drinking. Which can be good, however, everyone around us was soooooo loud I could barely hear my husband. I think it has to do with the layout of the restaurant and lack of sound catching acoustics — I could hear everyone’s conversations.

Unacceptable for«fine dining.» I generously give two stars based on our server. We saw she was doing everything that she could to ease our terrible night there. However, service alone can not carry a restaurant. 1. We got there at 6:30 and finished at 9. Way too long! 2. We ordered three apps at 6:45. One app came out and the other two were forgotten. One of the forgotten apps was the Pork Belly. When we replaced our app order we were informed that they were now out of Pork Belly. NOTGOOD! 3. I ordered the Grilled Teres Major Steak & Butter Poached Langoustines. Now, when I think steak I am thinking a fair sized piece of meat. Instead, what I got was a piece of meat the size of a 50 cent piece. To make matters worse it was over cooked. I ordered med. rare and I got med. at best. Return it you say? It is now about 8:30, yes, two hours later to get my dinner. Returning the meal was not an option as I had to leave at 9 to pickup kids. This order was a FAIL! 4. Guests at our table ordered the Chicken el Diablo and a cassoulet(beans were under cooked) which they say where good, except for the beans, and had great flavor. 5. Cocktails were very good. Not sure if there was a manager there because one did not come to our table to offer an explanation or apology as to what was going on. Our server did comp us some desserts, but after a very disappointing evening more could and should have been done.

Decided to give this place another try for my birthday last night. Came with my parents and husband in the evening for dinner. We were promptly seated and served beverages. Waitress was polite and attentive. The wait time wasn’t very long for the appetizers or entrees. However we waited almost thirty minutes for my birthday dessert. Also, would have appreciated a simple«happy birthday» especially since we said that’s why we’re coming when we made the reservations. Not a big deal but it’s the little things that matter. On a side note– to no fault of the restaurant, next to us sat who I hope is a dentist because he had a clear box on the floor with moldings of teeth. Wish he had put a napkin over it or put it on the other side of the table were everyone didn’t have to look at such a sore sight while enjoying a fine meal.

Very cute place! Was hesitant to go Bc of the reviews, but decided to give it a chance. As the other reviewers stated, service was a little slow to start, but once we got it, our service was great! I wish I knew our servers name(bartender too??) she was great and so was the busser, Jonah! Csme on a Saturday, which has all-day HH. Drinks were tasty… Got the Indian summer and the drink with sage in it. Drinks were $ 7-$ 8. We split the blue cheese sliders — $ 9 for 2 sliders. Yummy sliders! We moved into the dining area for entrees and got the special of the day with beans, some sort of greens, and pork shoulder. Loved it. I can’t recall the name of the entrée I got or how to even pronounce it, but meat with carrots and mashed potatoes… It was tasty! Bread was also very good with the two speciality butters. Again, ambiance is amazing. Love the look of this place. Romantic! Our bill was about $ 85. Would recommend checking out

I have been here a few times in the past and always liked the restaurant. However, I was disappointed this time. The food, though it tasted excellent… bones with marrow and fresh trout… the food was warm when I got it… the service was slow for a half filled restaurant… which means the waitress wasn’t paying attention. The desert… a deconstructed Key lime pie never arrived after 15 minutes. And while the apology was nice… an offer of a refill of the coffee would have been better.

Celebrated my recent engagement here with my family! Extensive wine list, and clever and interesting cocktails. We were seated and greeted with a glass of bubbly or apple cider for the babes or non-drinkers. It’s soo good! Lots of seafood appetizers and entrees. The entrees are a bit pricey, the cheapest was roast chicken for $ 24. Tried the pork belly and the Thai chili mussels(that’s usually an entrée) as an appetizer… Yum! They had bone marrow and I wanted to try that but wasn’t feeling that adventurous, so maybe next time. My nephew(who’s 5) didn’t want any of the entrees on the menu, so they made him Mac and cheese. We also ended up having dessert. Their tiramisu was amazing, came with a shot of espresso poured over it(divine). Two of the desserts we ordered were not available and we weren’t told so until about 30 minutes later, that was probably the only downside. Would love to come here during HH as it can be a pretty pricey dinner otherwise.

I tried this restaurant based on their Unilocal reviews, menu and proximity. Had I known it was a sister restaurant to Netshed No. 9 there is no question in my mind I would have already tried it out. The service was great from the second I walked in, the staff was on point with their suggestions and the meal could not have been more delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and all the accentuating items on the plate worked perfectly with each other. I tried my best to incorporate all of it with each bite. I will definitely be suggesting this to friends as well as going back ASAP.

The pear and cambozola bruschetta is absolutely delicious. The pear is caramelized to perfection and the pairing of the cheese is exquisite. The spicy Thai curry mussels and signature beouf bourguignon are my favorite dishes. The beef is fork tender and slow cooked in a rich sauce. The mussels dish contains almost too many mussels for one person to eat! The service is exceptional. The complimentary glass of champagne is a nice touch. The outdoor seating is refreshing on a nice summer day, and the indoor seating offers a more intimate ambiance.

Nice staff. I ate alone at the bar– On a Wednesday at 6pm — the place was dead… Bread came about after 20 mins Blue Cheese Wedge: came in 40 mins Boring — 99% was romaine lettuce– the rest I missed. No shit, about a tablespoon of dressing. saw the avocado, & cherry red tomatoes… Felt like I grabbed a romaine husk out of my refrigerator and dipped in some dressing. About that time, Alma, Ida, Minnie, Mildred, Olive, Ruby, Fred, Gertrude, Bertha, Ronald, Irene, Eda, Agnes, Eula, Fran, Gertie, Hattie, Helga, Mattie, Opal, Rosco, Tillie and Vern came in to eat — my God it tuned into a rest home! My Entrée: came in 1.4 hours. Brix Signature Boeuf Bourguignon: Reheated bourguignon, though you could tell they cooked the rest of the Entrée «big deal carrots» to order. Had to hunt down someone to pay my check? going on 2 hours Would I go back? Never… Will I come back to Gig Harbor? maybe when I am 70

This place was wonderful! My fiancé made reservations and brought me here for Valentine’s Day dinner… and I’m SO glad he did! We both loved every minute of it, from the initial greeting with 2 glasses of complementary champagne(which they gladly exchanged for Sparkling Cider since neither of us drink) to the delectable desserts. The service was WONDERFUL and the bread… omg, the bread was amazing! It was served with 2 types of gourmet butters to spread on it, one was a garlic aeoli, the other was a chili pepper/lime… and they were both amazing! This was easily a $ 200 plus gourmet meal… and it was only a tad under $ 100 for both of us(plus tip)! We will definitely be back! Here’s what we both enjoyed: Salads: Grilled Romaine Caesar: smoked salmon caesar dressing, parmesan croutons, shaved grana padana cheese Blue Cheese Wedge: applewood smoked bacon, crisp romaine, fresh avocado, & cherry red tomatoes, blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles and a cider vinaigrette Entrées: Brix Signature Boeuf Bourguignon: tender morsels of braised beef, roasted cipollini onions, crimini mushrooms, carrots, bacon, rich burgundy sauce, yukon gold mashed potatoes Pan Roasted Chicken: boneless half chicken, dijon & herb marinated, served with crisp fingerling potatoes and root vegetables, finished with a honey-dijon sauce Desserts: «Not Your Italian Grandma’s» Tiramisu: griddled lady fingers, layered with french butter cream, topped with chantilly and a tableside pour of coffee liqueur & coffee sauce Swiss Carrot Cake: olive oil-almond flour cake, whipped cream cheese schlag, topped with french butter cream & candied carrots, served with house made buttermilk gelato

I was feeling kind of negative about the food scene in Tacoma and some other places outside of the city. I realized though the quality of the food often improves greatly if you leave Tacoma. I have been over to Gig Harbor enough times that most of the restaurants we frequent over there are usually very good! Brix is one of those restaurants. Yes, it is a bit on the spendy side but the food is top notch! I decided to splurge and got a steak with mashed potatoes and some veggies. I hardly ever get steak but it just sounded right! The steak was fantastic as well as everything else, simply marvelous! For dessert I got three kinds of sherbet. I got a Chocolate Ghost Pepper flavor, Vanilla Cola and a raspberry. All three were simply amazing beyond belief! There are some great perks to coming here too! You will get a complimentary glass of wine(at least when I was here that is what I was given) and at the end of the meal a secret gift receipt in an envelope which is to be opened after a select date. You cannot open it yourself, the server on your next visit does. It could be anything from fifteen bucks to your entire meal being paid and then some! That is some mighty fine motivation to come back to!

So here’s the thing, they definitely hooked us up for the whole«hey we’re having a business dinner, someplace conducive to conversation would be excellent» thing. Couldn’t have asked for better… with that. Here’s where it could have been better: 1.) you lost out on at least two bottles of wine because you guys were too cheap to put another half glass of that cheap ass champagne in front of me… lemme splain’ I got there first well ahead of the main group to insure the table was good… they give you a half glass of complimentary champagne when you arrive.(plastic ‘cork’ class) Since I had arrived well before the party I got mine early. When the party arrived, everyone but me got a glass… since the guy paying the bill was trying to be extremely polite, he noticed I was not drinking, and assumed I did not imbibe, therefore he did not order any wine… honestly it probably would have been more than the bill for the food… I’m just saying, we like wine, and we like finer wines… 2.) or ‘your second mistake’. You know it’s a business dinner, so interruptions by staff should be kept to a minimum… just going to put this right on out there, Fail. 3.) When bringing the appetizer(s) to the table, please remember that when two of the same type of your very very small appetizers are ordered for 5 people, bringing them one at a time, and having to be reminded… twice…to bring out the second one ensures only one thing… that the first one is cold by the time the second one gets out there… and with those tiny little portions it’s not like anyone working on being polite is going to scoop in there in front of 4 other people when there’s not enough… and by the way… did I mention cold… 4.) when charging me upwards of 40 dollars for a piece of Sturgeon, I expect said Sturgeon to be a.) served at the same time as everyone else… without having to be asked b.) that said Sturgeon is not going to be horribly overcooked… seriously you’re directly across the street from Puget Sound and you serve sea food… what your ‘chef’ did to that fish makes me think he should stick to beef. c.) that if you have forgotten to put in my order or bring it… guessing by the temperature it was served at, it was the latter… you would fetch said meal with all possible alacrity(particularly understanding that this is a business dinner and that long pauses can be awkward for the company… let alone a single person not having their meal…) d.) the portions were abysmally small. 5.) acknowledging your mistakes with more than the cursory«oh sorry about that» In short, while the atmosphere is inspiring, and the food(what there is of it, and despite the serving temperature) is quite delicious… to be specific however I am not talking about that piece of jerky you called Sturgeon… I cannot ever see myself bringing another potential client there… ever. The atmosphere for a business dinner is every bit as important as what is being discussed. Knowing how to serve business diners is different from servicing other populations of diners. There is an art to it. I did not experience that art at Brix 25.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had. My husband and I went here with friends who went to Brix 25 on their honeymoon(and who had been raving about it for over a year). My expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. I can say awesome things about all aspects of the meal, but the standout of the evening was my steak and my husband’s chicken. I have never had a more flavorful steak, and the chicken that I had from my husband’s plate somehow melted in your mouth. Every bite of everything was delicious, and I really appreciated how balanced the flavors were. The other thing to note is that this place takes their wine selection as seriously as their food. You can’t go wrong here, and our server(who was great), made excellent wine recommendations. I can’t wait to go here again.
