Huge line as always at Starbucks– which is always expected. I order a coffee with room for soy milk(I’m lactose and almost vegan so I don’t have any diary!) The staff puts my coffee down to the barista and tells me to wait– there are maybe 5 drinks to be made while mine just needs a splash a soy milk. I ask her can I just have my splash of soy milk? If you left the soy milk out, we wouldn’t have this problem. She ignores me. Then I tell her, I’ll just take it black. After helping another customer she splashes the soy milk and I say thank you. This is the first time the person who ringed me up didn’t put in the splash of soy milk right away. I’m shocked and annoyed and she looked at me like I was being rude! When people don’t respect individual restrictions such as not drinking milk, it makes the individual feel guilty for taking control choices.

Starbucks… what can I say about this one other than the works are more interested in conversing with the customers other that taking oders. I stood in line and watch the cashier have a 5min. talk with a customer about what was going on in her life. I’m not saying that its the wrong thing to do. But when u have a line of ten poeple waiting I think u would try to do ur job. And not socialize so much. Try to keep the talk to a minimal. Or better yet continue taking the orders while ur socializing. Multitasking if u will.
