The owner(?) needs a smile! I won’t ever come back to this store. I wish I could rate this store 0 star.

The Cha Lua«pork meatloaf» here is pretty good. This used to be my go-to spot for Cha Lua. They have many different kinds and usually make them fresh, so they’re still warm when you buy them. They also have good Nem Chua here. The fermented pork patties with chili. Yummy!

My fav place for cha lua. My family and I have been coming here for years and years. The place is really small inside but the its really nice. The service is friendly and one of the better services I’ve received from a Viet place. The cha lua always comes fresh and delicious. At first I always thought, its just cha lua, they all taste the same but I was dead wrong. I made the mistake of buying from another place one time and it was absolutely horrendous. Then I ordered from Lee another time and thought it was ok in comparison. The thing about the cha lua here is it tastes so fresh and the quality just appears tops notch. The wrap job is really nice too. Its not too salty here. It has just the right amount of flavor and texture. I am always a fan and will continue to be one. Also the prices aren’t too bad either. Parking can be tough and thats really the only downside. Overall its a great place to pick up cha lua or other vietnamese type stuff.

Favorite place for Cha lua! The nem chua here is also very tasty! Every time I have friends or family from out of town that are requesting either of these items this is the place I recommend or pick up for them.

The fermented meat is bitter! I don’t know what ingredient they had put in there to make it bitter like that! I had tried their Nem Chua last year and they are perfect. But I don’t know what went wrong! Since I lived out of the state and had my aunt ship the Nem Chua to me. I could not bring it back to the store and have them open one and try it! Their attitude is No body complained why are you? !!! Very disappointed !!! And I spent almost 100 dollars on their Nem Chua !!! Bad customer service too! And I’m Vietnamese, I know how certain Asian food is support to taste like!!!

This is a small little store that sells«to go» food. No place to sit and eat, sorry. This place has very limited food(pork loafs, pork sausages, fish, some sweets, some drinks… mostly soda). I came here with my two Vietnamese girlfriends; one of which had a friend who recommended this place. We ordered the cinnamon pork loaf(cha lua) and my friend ended up purchasing 4 lbs of cha lua to bring back to Nor Cal. I tasted it and it did not have any cinnamon taste as the name says. It tasted like any other cha lua you can purchase anywhere else. It was A-Ok.

The«Nem Chua», Vietnamese Fermented Pork Roll, is outstanding! Best in all of the US. My wife and I love this stuff and have tried it in every city we visit throughout the US, but this place makes a solid Nem Chua. We got both the log and the rectangular version and both are exactly the same great tasting stuff. The Nem Chua is a perfect harmony of salty, savory, sweet, spicy and sour blend. This will be a regular stop every time I am in the OC area.

The cha que(cinnamon pork loaf) did not have ANY cinnamon flavor. And it’s too salty. Sad… Instead of snacking on this, we’ll just eat it with some bland banh cuon. Also, the lady behind the counter could not understand«2 pounds» or «hai pound» or even the non-verbal gesturing i did at a similarly-sized slice behind her that I was pointing at! Good lord.

This is not a food to go store. They just sell food just finished out of the oven. I think price kind pricey but food they sell quite good taste lot better. steam pork loaf«Cha Lua» wrap in banana leaf quite tasty compare with frozen stuff been sold at oriental market. Only thing I complain about this place don’t have any price item on their product, so I guess I just depend on owner mercy. I guess it is okay since it taste better.

Like a past reviewer for this place has said, there is no reason for it to be named ‘Food To Go’ because there’s not much you can ‘to go’ from. This place is small and specializes in to go luncheon meat found in banh mi’s. I don’t think one should come here to buy cha lua because you can get better at Duc Huong in the same town.

4 Words, «Gio Ga Nam Huong.» Loosely translated, «steam chicken loaf with mushrooms.» This is the only reason I come here to buy the gio lua, as they tend to be on the pricier sides for gio lua(cha lua). The Gio Ga Nam Huong is very flavorful and filled with mushrooms(mushroom lover). They sale an abundant of items here, mainly various types of Gios. I have only bought Gios here, so can not attest for anything else. I have to agree with Anita, not sure why this place is consider a Food To Go, as they do not actually sale the typical food to go items.

I have no clue why this place is called food to go because it’s not like a restaurant type of place with food to go, but rather, a store which specializes in lo cha lua(the luncheon meat thing wrapped in leaf) in various shapes and sizes. They also have the sticky rice things wrapped in banana leaf(don’t know the name) and even nem nuong. It was weird because in the hot tray area, there was nothing except for the nem nuong so I really don’t understand the ‘food to go’ aspect. It’s more like ‘selected items’ you can buy to go, but not for a full meal. It also serves as a sundry store of sorts — tea, sweet items… and more. The cha lua was okay — I’ve had better at restaurants.
