Customers be ware — meat may be old! We have been getting egg rolls from this restaurant for many years for family parties but the last 2 times I placed an order, the egg rolls had a sour, old meat taste. The first time it happened, we caught it right away and insisted on getting a new batch(the owner was reluctant but they gave us a much better tasting tray). The second time we were already home when we tasted the bad egg rolls so we got stuck with a tray of rotten food which I could not serve my family in good conscience. It seems that either the ownership changed or they are trying to save money. Soo… unless you are willing to try your food right away — you may be stuck with old bad tasting meat! And another thing — they charge an extra 8% «convenience fee» if you use your credit card! Last time I checked we were not living in the middle ages and businesses did not charge an extra fee for using a charge card!

First time I visited this place today. Lots people Wer there to pick up Easter party trays. Ordered a tray of egg rolls for $ 28 bucks. Several orders picked up were the same as mine. I didn’t get a chance to take pictures, but the food entrees behind the warming trays looked scrumptious and fresh. I noticed a sign on the register that there is a @10 minimum if paying with visa or master card. From what I understand, most restaurants in lil Saigon are cash only stores, restaurants n services. The place is in a blue roof plaza, to the left. This is coming fr 22frwy and head towards south of 22 frwy, just past Westminster, on brookhurst. My personal opinion of the egg rolls. To me, it’s too m sweet, but everyone loved it.

I found my NEW place to buy egg rolls which are made to order, starting at $ 9FOR15 or $.60 each. I believe the going rate is $.50 but these are perfectly wrapped and not greasy at all. The filling is the typical pork, carrots, and mushrooms. My kids go crazy for them and they are still good the next day. They also have raw, frozen aluminum trays of wild betal wrapped beef for $ 40 and trays of egg rolls for $ 28. Perfect for parties or keeping on hand to prepare at home !

People that work there in the morning are RUDE! I always have to ask for utensils and soy sauce! They always give me dirty looks! Their food is bland. Nothing special! Never going back!!!

If you ever feel like impressing someone with a cheap delicious treat, Thanh Thanh’s egg rolls are the safest bet. For some reason a good egg roll has become very hard to find for me. But Thanh’s is fantastic. Warm, crunchy, meaty, with a slick savory oil flavor. Love ‘em, its a great finger food! $ 0.60/ea or a 50pc platter for $ 25.00 Since im not too familiar with the rest of the vietnamese cuisine that have to offer, ive steered clear from the rest of their menu and only go there for the egg rolls.

I usually come to this place when I need to order some food for party. This place is clean compared with many other places. Parking is pretty good. Their food is great, of course, not excellent because it’s ‘Fast Food’, right? The only thing that I don’t like is the employees are kind of friendly but the owner(I think and I can tell she is) is not at all. She always has a poker face, never smiles, and very cold. You don’t feel you are welcomed at this place with her attitude. It’s not a good behavior for running any business, is it?

I always come here for party platters. Their egg rolls are especially delicious and are sold at 50 cents a piece. Every time I have a potluck, I always order some egg rolls and it usually has a positive response from the people at the party. The staff is friendly and always on time with their food. If you want some food to go after work, they have a wide selection of foods from fried fish to Vietnamese meatballs. Just order a couple of side dishes, cook up some rice at home, and have a good Vietnamese meal for cheap.

Love this place for my quick party platters. I usually order the fried rice. You can’t go wrong with it. Each time I get it, my guests love it! The eggrolls are really good as well. For 25 dollars a party platter, you get a good amount.

This is second food to go I had been to so I could not compare. Since I arrived on Eastern Sunday afternoon so not much customer I guess. I think their food is okay so as their price.

Needed rice porridge because I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out and I was tired of eating a pound of apple sauce. So I remembered that vietnamese people eat rice porridge! yay. Didn’t know where to go, cruised around westminster on brookhurst because my coworker said just go to any«food to go» place and they will have chau. Okay, so cruising and saw this place, decided to do it because it had a big sign. went in, 2 ladies sitting and eating, ordered($ 5 for large) looked around. They have all the vietnamese food my mom makes! like bitter melon, and canh bi. i was excited and wanted to get it because unfortunately i can’t eat solids!!! I must try it next time, but this is for the rice porridge, it was okay, wasn’t as good as my mom’s, the chicken wasn’t flavorful(i just swallowed it whole without chewing, maybe thats why) but it lacked that mom flavored. but, I will come back! I gotta try their other vietnamese food that i can’t eat as of now. i’m excited.

With all the Food To Go restaurants in Little Saigon, this would have to be my favorite. It’s clean, they have a good selection, and you also get a free drink with your combo. A three item combo comes out to $ 5, not bad right?! Way better than fast food if your’e on the go and want something quick. If I’m in the area, and craving for fast Vietnamese food, I often stop by Thanh Thanh.

I might give this place another chance but the two different items I got weren’t that good. Prob my fault because I arrived about 45 min before they were about to close and many of the dishes were sold out. Deep fried fish with seasoning — Man, this stunk up my room and it was terribly salty, not to mention it had a lot of hazardous bones. Fish was over fried, too. Vietnamese sour catfish soup — It was borderline about to spoil the day after when I reheated it. The soup got really murky for some reason after reheating. I’d try to avoid having any of the dry meat items before they close, they probably have been sitting there all day under the heat lamps drying out. Although one thing I have to note as others said, it’s pretty clean in here and brightly lit.

Thanh Thanh has changed owners, but their veggie eggrolls are still the same, DELICIOUS. At our last party, we ordered veggie eggrolls and noodles, and non-veggie fried rice. I didn’t try the fried rice, but it was gone fast. However the noodles are not up to par. I give it a 4-star because of the veggie eggrolls, courteous service, and cleanliness of the place.

You know, this place isn’t half bad for when you don’t want to cook. They have a good selection of items from curries to fried fish — and they have different types of fish too — stir fries etc. Everything looks fresh and clean unlike some other places. The store is very clean too unlike the one in the plaza where Brodard is – there is a similar store there which is very dirty. I thought the bitter melon stuffed with pork was good, maybe a tad bland, but nothing a ‘re-cook’ won’t rectify. This is a dish I am too lazy to make at home so having it made for me is just perfect even if the seasoning isn’t 100%. They have these chicken legs(kinda like thigh plus leg) which has been cooked in a sweet soy sauce. It’s pretty good too. I think they’re fried, but I’m not completely sure. They also have these beef things rolled up in la lot leaves(I think that’s what they’re called), they serve those at the Bo 7 Mon restaurants. It’s okay, I’ve had better. Anyway, if you don’t want to cook, this is a great place to buy take out and it’s very reasonable too.

It’s A-OK. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to get because we do not eat pork and the girl behind the counter seemed irritated. I didn’t even ask her anything! lol. I ended up gettin BOLALOP(the beef rolled up in the leaves on a skewer)… and some stinky fish cake with white rice.

This place is always cool for when you’re starving and you just wanna grab something real quick and chow down on it at home. They have TONS of stuff — more than you can ever stuff down your throat. I don’t think they speak much english so you’re just gonna have to point at stuff for the most part. I don’t really know what the heck most of the food they have are so I just look for the tastiest looking ones and point at it — so far it’s been pretty alright. A lot of them actually tastes pretty good despite how weird they may look. It’s fun cuz it’s like you’re playing lotto and you find out if you win right when you get home. Or in the car if you’re that hungry. Oh and it’s pretty cheap too! EDIT: That red meat thing on the picture’s pretty alright, try it — I think it’s pork + shrimp and it’s kinda sweet. Good with steamed rice.
