Horrible. Godawful. They brought us ice water in a filthy looking glass that hadn’t been washed properly, and did not seem particularly surprised when we pointed this out, just replied«oh sorry» and brought a replacement. All water glasses at our table remained untouched due to lack of trust in the dishwashing practices. The place also generally just looks dirty; greasy smudges all over the glass entry door, for example. I’m not overly squeamish about minor cleanliness issues in eateries of this category, but the five-star reviews of this place I find rather perplexing in light of the visible neglect of hygiene. Stay FAR away from anything on the«vegetarian» section of the menu. There must be something this place does well(judging from the line out the door), but that is certainly not it! Disgusting. Why do they even bother having this category on the menu, if they’re not interested in doing a reasonable execution? It’s only going to irritate customers if you offer items that you don’t know how to make, and then put them in the position of either sending back the unpalatable results or paying for something that they probably won’t be able to bring themselves to eat. The others at my table had regular house egg noodle soup(not vegetarian), but they found the broth flavor and noodle texture both distinctly wrong, below the standard of their prior visits here, and again raising trust issues about the quality of the food today. All of us left hungry after not finishing our food.

I ordered the duck noodle soup. Very flavorful. The restaurant smelt like a sewer though.

SoCal finally got some rain and we wanted some soup! The other Chinese noodle shops(near Tastea) kinda suck so I opted for this one due to the reviews. WHAT I GOT: Mi Vit Tiem/Duck Noodle Soup — That seemed to be the most popular item so I got that. Not bad! It was so fatty(but I like fatty duck sometimes). I enjoyed it! The broth is a rich dark color. It was perfect for a rainy cold day but I wouldn’t have it often. I shredded the duck meat on the extra plate to make it easier to eat. Chinese donuts are always a must. We got two and they cut it up. PARKING: it’s a small lot. Right across the street from Turtle Tea!

Went out with my friends last week for a diner. So craving for Mi Vit Tiem. Decided to go back to this place after a long time. This place never disappoints us. Mi Vit Tiem was very wonderful with a chewy noodle which is just right. The braised duck is so tasty. And it went well with the soup. I like the papaya side dish very much! Definitely recommend this to anybody who asks for Mi Vit Tiem.

Specialty: Duck noodle soup. Details: Duck leg is succulent, slightly fatty. Combined with the bok choy and mushrooms, these elements add a nice hint of sweetness to the savory dark broth. Verdict: Eat it.

The Mi Vit Tiem(duck noodle soup) is the best duck noodle soup around! Even if you don’t like to eat duck, you will like it! If you’re still iffy about it, you can just get the dark broth that it comes with and choose other options such as wontons. The broth is so flavorful and has a herbal aroma to it. I like how you can choose different noodles, and don’t have to stick to just the egg noodles. I personally like rice noodles so I get either the thin ones or the thick flat rice noodles. The best thing is that it is under $ 8 for a decent sized bowl and you get a lot of duck. Tip: shred it with two forks. I also like the fried rices here. Cash only though.

CASH! Bomb Duck noodle soup! Huge portion, and they give a whole duck thigh leg with it. They’re generous on the meet. I got the thicker but not the thickest noodles. Super tasty! It has a herbal comfort taste to the soup. Similar to the Thai version duck soup but definitely very different on its portions, and spice. Thai version will be probably 1⁄3 its size, and ¼ its amount of meat but 100% much more spicy in Thai town, Hollywood. Parking lot shared among the plaza, possible to find one. We went when there was construction still happening off of Brookhurst area, be careful. Located in bottom floor. Met up Christine T. here. She found it on Unilocal and was craving Duck Noodle Soup. Tks CTran! It was an awesome place!!!

Duck noodle soup with thick yellow egg noodles! The duck was really tender and you get a pretty good portion of meat and noodles. Service was quick and efficient. CASHONLY

I ordered the stewed duck noodle soup and thought it was just okay. The noodles and broth were good, but the duck itself wasn’t. It’s a great value at $ 7 for a bowl of noodle soup and a huge duck leg, but the duck is so «stewed» that the duck flavor is lost and the meat is dry. The service is also extremely slow. My boyfriend got his noodle soup about 15 minutes before I got my bowl. That’s unheard of at Vietnamese restaurants that specialize in noodle soups! I suspect that they forgot to bring my order out from the kitchen until we reminded them. There was no apology… If I come back, I’d order something else and try the thicker noodles.

This place has been around since I was a kid. They renovated and have new tables and fresh paint. The establishment is clean and the food is huge portions. The phở ap chao is still a favorite. Their pan fried noodles and sauce is delicious! My only complaint was that the sauce was very thin. could use more cornstarch. It’s seriously big enough for two. The duck egg middle is savory and salty. They give a big portion of duck and very meaty. Just remember to bring cash. They do not accept card.

Amazing duck noodle with black mushrooms with Chinese broccoli. Portion is huge! The duck looks like a quarter of a duck from whole, stew well with the broth. The best part about it is their egg noodle is very freshly made… its aldente(whatever you call that in spaghetti Italian noodles)…their is a crunch and not a goo bite taste. Will need to keep trying more.

I came here because I was craving egg noodles. I’d been here before and remembered the noodles were yummy. I ordered their most popular dish, which is the duck noodle soup. It comes with a huge hunk of duck. The only bummer is that it’s bone in, so you got to get your hands dirty. I opted to just tear up all the meat and toss it into my noodle soup so I didn’t have to keep stopping to get some more meat. It’s great to have so much duck, but it’s not so great to have to get down and dirty with noodle soup. The egg noodles is what makes this. They are cooked perfectly so you’re left with a little crunch even though the noodles have been sitting in broth. The broth is definitely tasty but it’s not piping hot(or it wasn’t piping hot because I had to spend my time tearing up the meat). We were here on the weekend and they had some buns that seemed to be super popular. My parents got some out of curiosity and said it wasn’t anything special.

*CASHONLY* I had the duck soup and it was pretty good. Nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. The broth was too sweet for my tastes(Sweetness most likely coming from the juices of the duck), so I tried to neutrilize the sweetness with the spicy creamy looking mustard sauce. That did the trick. The mustard helped bite through the sweetness and I began the carnage. The dish comes with their house-made noodles(which i thought was really neat), and a decently large portion of duck thigh and leg. There was some fat on it, but the duck was succulent and delicious dipped in the hot chili sauces. The wonton soup was delicious and the broth was very clean. The wonton was filled with shrimp and meat and was so yummy dipped in soy sauce and some chili sauce. House noodles on point in terms of texture. This place had friendly service and very nice noodle dishes! Just dont forget to being cash like i did x. x

The Hu-tieu(House special noodle soup) is pretty solid and the broth is flavorful but I prefer«My Vi Mi Gia» just a few blocks away. However, if you want to avoid the lines and eating communal cafeteria style, this place is your better bet. The Duck Noodle Soup was decent here but they need to cook the duck a bit longer as it was still really fatty and still quite tough from the tendons. 3 stars.

Super Busy location here and they have plenty of free parking for everyone. Our family have enjoyed the famous roasted duck noodle soup here for over 20 years. They also have other great dishes too like the house shrimp dumplings. Bring your family and kids to try what everyone in Little Saigon have known for over 20 years. Great food and service at reasonable prices enjoyed family style by the same original owner since the early 1980. You can still see the original owner clean the tables and serve his honored guest here. Truly a rare gem in the restaurant business in Westminster. Live love and laugh everyday in every way. Hope to see your happy smiles real soon here at Phat Ky!!!

Located next to Van’s Restaurant. Whenever we eat at Van’s Restaurant, this place seems to be always empty. I told my parents that we should just give it a try and the day we decide to go, there was a 10 minute wait! So it must be good right? What we got: Banh Bao($ 1.50): apparently they only make a certain amount each day and once they’re gone then they’re gone! It’s your typical banh bao, but the breading on the outside is tastier than the others I’ve had. It has your typical ball of meat inside, half a quail egg, and a slice of chinese sausage(lap xuong). Mi Vit Tiem($ 8.50): black mushroom and duck egg noodle. You could have it dry(kho) or with the soup(nuoc). My dad decided to have it dry, but it would probably be better with the soup in it. Broth is very flavorful and I could just drink the soup by itself. Mi Dac Biet Phat Ky Kho($ 6.50): house special egg noodle. My mom and sister had this and my sister liked it, but my mom just thought it was okay. She prefers the mi kho at My Vi Mi Gia. Phở Xao Ap Chao Dac Biet($ 9.50): special pan fried rice noodle. It looked good… but the only special(dac biet) thing about it was that there was a layer of egg on top. It was super oily and seafood pieces didn’t taste all that good… skip this one! Service: It was packed, but everything came out quick like your normal Vietnamese restaurant. Not much to it though… pay at the counter!

I LOVVEEE their duck noodles and everything else there. The owner is super nice and always give phenomenal services. You can customize your food just the way you wanted. They also have fresh noodles for your home cook meals. The price is super decent and the restaurant is clean!!! bathroom needs a little improvement thou but i usually don’t use the restaurants bathroom unless its to wash my hands. cuz u know… can’t trust public restrooms. lol I love noodles soup but their pan fry noodles dishes are also very good. I usually get my parties food catered here also!!! I love you Phat Ky Mi Gia

Yumm! My favorite is the Mi Vit Tiem! 7 $(everything is reasonably priced under 10 $)The broth is so flavorful. The duck piece is a pretty big hunk of leg with a nice browned skin. You also have one big mushroom and two chinese green leaf vegetables and a side of pickled radish. The service here is pretty good considering they are quite aggressive. They want to take your order right when you sit down but thats like anyother viet restaurant in Westminster. Parking shouldn’t be a problem because they are located in a square plaza with lots of parking. Other dishes they are known for are garlic noodles and phở ap chao.
