If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Got the living social coupon and have tried going here numerous times. Only to be disappointed to find out they only have shrimp left. So we decided to come during the week for lunch. We just arrived and a white board says«Closed out of supplies sorry» Uh… ok? This place sucks and I want my $ back.

My boyfriend and I found this deal on Groupon so we decided to go. However, we went the first day the deal was out. We waited 2 hrs to get seated before we decided to go somewhere else. We weren’t upset at all, we were laughing at ourselves for going the first day and not thinking about the wait before hand. We started noticing they were running out of food so we decided it would be best to come back a few weeks later and not so late this time since we wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted from that place. So, second visit… AMAZING. We went just as they opened.(SMART btw if you’re using a groupon or living social deal). The waitress was very, very sweet. The Crab in garlic pepper was finger licking good! We had 2lbs, fries, and bread. The bread was fresh. Fries the same as they are anywhere else. The crab definitely made the trip for us! I would love to go there again when i’m in the area :)

READTHISREVIEWBEFOREGOINGTOROCKINCRABHOUSE! I purchased the livingsocial deal for $ 40 worth of food for $ 20. I was excited to take my boyfriend out to dinner last night, but both of us left completely disappointed and unsatisfied. to the point that we had to cook dinner after we left the restaurant. prior to eating at the restaurant, my boyfriend and i checked out the menu online and found that most items on the menu were reasonably, if not well, priced. shrimp was listed at $ 8.99/lb while cajun fries were $ 3.99/basket. since our usual go-to sea food joint is boiling crab, and these prices were similar, we figured the food we would be getting would be at the same level of quality. boy were we wrong! i wouldnt have even come to this place after seeing all the negative Unilocal reviews, but being that i had already purchased the«deal» online, we didnt really have a choice but to go and use our coupon. when we arrived, we noticed that the one and only beer on tap was Shocktop, which was great since we both love that kind of beer. We were disappointed and shocked to find out that the one beer they have on tap had completely run out… are you kidding me? you serve one type of beer, and you ran out? we got over it, and chose a couple of(incredibly over-priced) bottles of beer.($ 4.50/bottle) funny thing: when my boyfriend asked which type of Hefeweizen beers they carried, the waitress asked him«wait, what? what are the different types of Hefeweizen??» she was clueless… turns out they carry pyramid. after realizing that the menu stated that shrimp was $ 12.99/lb,(WTFFF???) we asked the waitress if the menu had changed lately, and she said yes. obviously, after they became part of the livingsocial deal, they decided to take advantage of their customers and up their prices in order to rip us all off. we decided we were here already and had the coupon and needed to spend it, so may as well pay their ridiculous increased prices. but seriously, $ 12.99/lb for shrimp? we bought a side of rice with our shrimp as well, and it was a tiny portion of hard, dried out, nasty, barely edible rice. we ordered 2 lbs of shrimp, with the tidal wave sauce. the shrimp was tough and flavorless, and we definitely received less than 2 lbs of shrimp. at boiling crab, 2 lbs of shrimp will get you about 40 shrimp(trust me, we’ve been there several times and always count!). we left with a total of 28 shrimp from this place. they mustve weighed it with the sauce rather than the shrimp alone. what a rip off. we were still hungry after we left. my boyfriend and i were the only group in the entire restaurant, which shows that they probably aren’t the best restaurant out there… as we were leaving, another group of people entered the restaurant, and we had to restrain ourselves from warning them to leave while they still had time… this is such a huge disappointment! i am writing LivingSocial an email expressing my disappointment and letting them know that they need to look into the companies that they do business with. i cant believe that a small business like this would take advantage of new customers and totally increase the prices on their menu right after hundreds of people purchased a deal from them.

Came here because I purchased the 10 for 20 LivingSocial deal. We came by 30 minutes after opening and there was absolutely no one there. I was a bit skeptical on coming here but I just had to get rid of my coupon. Anyway, some guy dropped off two menu’s for us and I turned it over and saw that Shrimp was 12.99 a lb!!! WTF? We ordered two drinks, cajun fries, and 1 lb of shrimp in Medium– Tidal Wave. The cajun fries were okay. They looked like McDonald’s fries sprinkled unevenly in some paprika and salt. Our bag of shrimp looked a little sad but maybe because they used such huge bags. Their sauce was pretty good, just a little watered down. Overall, the bill was 25 with tax and the food was edible. Honestly, I could have gone to BC’s togo place and get a better deal for my money. Well now I know.

GARBAGE(in capital letters). Bought a voucher from living social and it was still not worth the price I paid even with the discount. Ordered cajun fries and it came out looking and tasting like regular fries sprinkled with paprika. The oysters came out next. I love oysters but I was only able to eat two and felt like gagging. It tasted slimy, grainy and was definitely not fresh. Their sausages are a joke! They were more like thin slivers of hotdogs. Their shrimp were super small(½ the size of boiling crab’s shrimp in addition to being $ 2 more expensive per pound). Overall, I did not enjoy their food whatsoever and would never go back. They get one star for good service. Our server was very nice and attentive

First time here because my cousin got this deal on living social when you buy $ 20 for $ 40 worth of food. Since it’s like 50% off why not try it right? it can’t be that bad. When we got there, walked in the door. we weren’t greeted by anyone. they told us to pick a table. 10 mins later. finally a waitress came & asked what we wanted for drinks. water of course. we then ordered what we wanted . — We got some kind of combo(i don’t remember the name of it) for $ 23.99. but it came with 2 lbs total(½lbs shrimp, ½lbs crawfish, ½lbs clam, ½lbs mussels SEASON: Tidal Wave!!!). I believe with that combo bag it comes with 1 corn, 1 potato, 4 sausages &1 appetizer up to value of $ 4.99 or $ 5.99. Sounds like a good deal right? well here it goes. as for the appetizer we got the Cajun fries, the fries were soggy, no flavor whatsoever! the seafood bag itself was pretty much the biggest disappointment ever. there were no flavors, the bag is filled with grease! i felt like i was eating seafood soaked in grease!!! it was gross! — On a separate bag we got 1lbs of shrimp. When the shrimp came out. literally we couldn’t believe it was 1lbs. It was the littlest bag ever. same thing. flavoring wasn’t there. grease where soaked . — Cajun Chicken Wings, it was okay. i had 1 wing and did not want to eat another. on the other hand. the ranch they gave us to dip it with was enough to dip 1 wing. it’s just ranch! k’mon how cheap can you be? and that reminds me, the ketchup they gave us were skimpy also! about ¼ of those tiny little cup they have. i had to ask for more ketchup twice! and guess what? they’re 50 cents each! bring your own ketchup if you decided to go here. Now onto the service part, it took them 30 mins to bring out our appetizers, there was 1 girl working when we came in, but about 15 mins later another girl came out from the back. the place filled up pretty quick, the 2nd girl that came out from the back basically were there just to stand around. 30 mins into sitting there waiting for our food. bibs were not offered to us, lime were not offered to us until we got up! walked to the counter & ask for it. Forgot to mention! DIRTYDIRTYDIRTY!!! will not pass for health inspection! my condiment cup were sticky! with nasty dirty stains on them! & when my ketchup was brought up. there were messes around the rim. i’ve always thought crawfish house was a horrible place to go to! but i guess i’ve found my worst crawfish place ever! i will never come back to this place. the food & service. waste my time of eating there!!!

It’s hard not to compare this place with Boiling Crab especially since the theme and style of the restaurants are almost exactly similar, which means both restaurants have to strive for the best for business competition. I discovered this place with a Living Socials Deal that was emailed to me. I decided to give it a try since it was $ 10 for $ 20. Service: Slow and lagging. If it wasn’t for the soccer game to divert my attention from hunger, I would not been happy. It took a long time for someone to get my order, for our drinks to come, for them to check up on us, and for our entire order to arrive. When we walked in, the server informed us that almost all of their seafood choices were out of stock due to the Living Socials Deal; there was only mussels and shrimp available. I was okay with it because I wanted to order shrimp anyways. We ordered a pound of shrimp with an add-on of a dozen sausages, cole slaw, cajun fries, and a shock top on draft. When the server brought us our shrimp and fries, she asked if anything was missing. I told her about the cole slaw and never saw her again. A while later, I asked another server about the cole slaw and she went to kitchen then came back to tell me that they were out of cole slaw… Then she asked if I wanted anything else, gave me a menu cuz I asked for one, then forgot to come back. I really don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen, but they were out of everything. And I don’t know what went on with the cole slaw because if they were out then they should of put that on the out-of-stock list before I ordered it. It’s like they realized they didn’t have any cabbage… Food: Not satisfying I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the food. The shrimps did not look so vibrant and I felt gypped with the sausage. I paid $ 4.00 for what seemed like one sausage link because the pieces were really thin, so thin there was no satisfaction in biting into it. Unlike Boiling Crab where sausage pieces are thick cut so when you bite into it, the juices flow into your mouth. The shock top was flat but the server had already warned us about it beforehand(something about having to wait 10 minutes because there is too much foam in the machine…). Our fries came out soggy so I asked if I can get them crispier. They ended up frying the same batch again which just made it even more oily. The sauce was liquidy and oily as opposed to thick and chunky. We were also not given any plates to eat on… unlike Boiling Crab they don’t have table covers and eating directly on the table is so unsanitary. I had to ask for plates. Conclusion: It doesn’t seem like they know what they’re doing Yeah running a business is hard(from personal experience), but when the competitor is Boiling Crab, they cannot and should not cut corners. Even though I had a Living Socials Deal, I still feel spending $ 20 was not worth it.

Just came from happy hour(½ off appetizers and pitcher of beer). Bad mistake coming the day after 900 Living Social coupons were purchased! At the start of happy hour there was only 1 server, with 2 more at the end. However, the place was packed w/more people than they can handle. Raw oysters: sweet but small Fried calamari: crunchy bladder but bland Crawfish eggrolls: super oily and mostly filled w/vegetables Half of Everything(party pack deal): includes ½ lb each of crawfish, clams, mussels, shrimp + free appetizer + corn, potatoes, and sausages. The Half of Everything was an awesome deal for $ 23.99…except for the fact that I had to inform the server of my missing corn, potatoes, sausages, and free appetizer! Then he read the sign and told me that since I’m getting only«half» of everything, I can choose either 1 corn, potatoes, or sausages. That is clearly NOT what was advertised. Anyhow, I cut them some slack since they were so busy and opted for corn… but my corn on the cob came out cold and w/o the X-Spicy Tidal Wave sauce I previously ordered! The Boiling Crab is still #1 on my list, but the Tidal Wave sauce at RCH was pretty good. It is less thick/buttery/garlicky, and had more of a spicy black pepper taste. The X-Spicy Tidaly Wave was just a tad spicier than the med-spicy Whole Shabang at Boiling Crab. Overall: — Awesome deals listed under the Party Pack! — Only $ 6 for pitcher of beer during happy hour! — No long lines like at Boiling Crab! — Bad service(I did not get bibs, wet naps, or napkins at my table)

It’s Friday night and we head to Boiling Crab. 2 hour wait! WTF! So we left. My sister moved down the street from Rockin’ Crab House so we decided to go there instead. We walked in and it was eerily quiet. We were like one of 3 parties in the restaurant. People were slowly going in and out and I could hear full conversations next to me. I was happy we could be helping this small restaurant out. Food: We started with oysters and fries. Oysters were good! Fries were whatever. We order the mix of clams, mussels, crawfish, and shrimp with the tidal wave sauce with the hottest seasoning. And boy was it SPICY! i was crying over the heat and so was the rest of my party. But everything had great flavor! I loved the mussels and clams! So good! To cool us down, we had a pitcher of Shock Top and my sister got Diet Coke. For some strange reason, her Diet Coke tasted like it was mixed with jalepeno juice??? What? I took a sip and it sure did. We kind of just laughed it off and got another refill. When we finished out pitcher, our server asked if we wanted another and we said yes. She took a little while and kind of forgot about us and when she remembered she said the pitcher was on the house! It wasn’t even that long that we went without beer! I hate to compare it to the almighty Boiling Crab but I feel it’s necessary since its the same type of food. Food– Although the food was good here, its a little better at Boiling Crab(sorry to admit :/) The crawfish were so small and the shrimp just weren’t as good. Boiling Crab definitely know what they’re doing. Service– Since this place is small and family owned, it’s much better. They truly seem to care for every guest and as it got busier, our server still managed to do a good job and chat with us. Experience-Great overall experience! Better than Boiling Crab since we got a free pitcher and there was no wait! Only real downside– The toilet was clogged and broken and it really smelled in the restroom area. I think this is extremely important because everyone wants to wash their hands after this messy meal!

No lines. Great service. Delicious food. Messy goodness. This is my kind of place! If I could eat here everyday, I would. I have been here on average about twice a week since I discovered the place in December and every time, the food and the service have been spectacular. Once I leave, I already plan my next visit. Messy food is fun, but delicious messy food is even better! The Rock and Roll bread for dipping in the sauce is amazing! The cajun and sweet potato fries are perfect. The Jalapeño peppers are wonderful. My husband doesn’t eat seafood, but he loved his fried chicken and so did I. Also try the strawberry lemonade soda. YUM! My favorite seafood includes: Tidal Wave med shrimp and Lemon Pepper medium crab legs! DOUBLEYUM! Lisa is a great host/waitress and really takes customer service to the next level. She wants you to enjoy your experience and your food and always has a smile on her face and an upbeat, jovial personality. Try it once and you won’t be disappointed! And there is no wait like that other Crab place. That’s a HUGE plus in my book!

Craw fish was full of flavor. Shrimp was cooked well. The sauces are great. I got the tidal wave(mild). Service is fast and friendly which is a huge plus! I’m already craving the sausage. Make sure you get a corn on the cob, sausage when ordering the seafood! I also had the fried chicken. Perfectly seasoned & juicy. Cajun fries are def worth ordering too! Outline of what we ordered: –crawfish — shrimp(both tidal wave. mild) –sausage –corn on the cob –rice –cajun fries –fried chicken(comes with celery and carrot sticks, ranch) –coke –unsweetened iced tea –coconut pineapple ice cream MUSTGETTHECOCONUTPINEAPPLEICECREAM! I went with a group tonight. The sweet potato fries were decent and the buffalo wings were good… the shrimp was a little too cooked– through which made the flesh rather tough… and that’s all the good words coming from this review. The fried mushrooms came out with cold centers and were not cooked all the way through. The waitress replaced the order. There was a member of our party who ordered a glass of raspberry iced tea i and it wasn’t til he had drank nearly all of the drink before he looked into the cup and found a family of gnats doing the backstroke in his drink. He went to hurl it up and could clearly see the gnats in his vomit. We are not talking one or two gnats — not that THAT would make it any more acceptable or easier to stomach — but a good half dozen at the very least. We showed the waitress and she apologized then offered a refill O_o(no thank you) To be fair, the staff was sincerely apoligetic of the mishaps and offered the following: taking the order of mushrooms off of our bill along with the gnat-infested rasberry lemonade, ten percent discount off our bill. Total on final tab was almost $ 95 in the end. We still tipped well over 15% because the service was deserving but as for the food… not so much –especially that rasberry lemonade: X Will post an update if any member from tonight’s dinner experiences stomach problems.

It’s definitely not the Boiling Crab but the flavor for the sauce is very good, enough for me to stop here for my «fix» which is why i gave it a generous 4 stars. We arrived at dinner at 5:30 and we were the only ones there. The waitress«could» have been more attentive(afterall, we were the ONLY ones there) but let’s pretend its France, where the waiters don’t bug you unless you ask them to. We ordered the shrimp and clams, The shrimps were heads on, and compared to the«Sha bang» BC sauce, it was close enough substitute. The shrimp were overcooked a bit, as the shells didn’t fall off very easy, and that was irritating. The service, as mentioned could be improved. The price was similar to the competitors, so it won’t break the bank. Would I go back? Yes, but only if I don’t feel like waiting an hour for Boiling Crab. I would NOT suggest getting this as take out.

Half a dozen oysters for $ 7.99, a pound of King Crab for $ 15.99. A lb crawfish for $ 8.99. 2 Heineken and 1 Corona totals to $ 45 with tax. I chose the medium spicy«tidal wave» sauce which is the combination of all the sauces. Fingerlicking delicious and affordable compared to other seafood places I’ve been to. Family owned, small but it’s a about 3 months old so there is no wait. I’m going to be my entire family here this weekend. Cons: Only one restroom per gender(not multi-stalled). Way brand new so we had a waitress who was young and cute but a bit slow since it was her first day of work.
