Worst overcooked crab we have ever had. Steak was tough and shrimp was very small. We usually have a good experience at Joe’s in Vegas. This location is a 1 on a scale of 10. Waitress was nice, food was a joke. Not sure anyone would ever go back.

I came here with my boyfriend and his family after his graduation and I’m honestly mixed about this place. For the price, we could’ve gotten way more seafood elsewhere. We got the big pots, the artic, joe’s classic, and cajun. You can double the size for an $ 20, which seemed like a pretty good offer because we had six people. The crab and lobster were delicious, but to be honest, this was not worth the money. Even with double portions, there was not enough seafood for the six of us. The shrimp were relatively small compared to other seafood restaurants so I was quite disappointed. On top of that, I’m pretty sure they served us old crawfish. They were horrible quality! They were soggy and the shell just caved in. My experience with fresh crawfish is very different fro mthis. To be honest, I would not recommend this to anyone who’s looking to get quality seafood for a good price. It doesn’t fill you up and you get mediocre quality. I highly recommend boiling crab for your seafood fix. I will not be returning.

Will provided fast and friendly service to our party of 8. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, from calamari, shrimp, crab cakes, and fish(although there was a bit more batter than I would have liked), fries were good too, but I wouldn’t call the«side» of coleslaw a side, more like a few bites.

So all morning I was craving seafood, but I didn’t get to eat lunch since I had to take care of my court thing. Finally I was able to grab some dinner and I suggested this spot to my friend. We rolled through and I was ready to dig in. Service was so friendly and nice. My goodness that made my day right there. The ambiance was pretty cool and nice too. Got a hold of the menu and I forgot what my friend ordered but who cares, mines more important anyways. I had the Arctic Bay Steam Pot which in retrospect is quite a bargain if you asked me. It comes with a whole lobster(just what I needed), some queen crab legs, some smoked sausages and shrimp and of course potatoes. Damn this was so good. Yes the flavor is a bit not up to par in comparison to say a Boiling Crab but damn it was still really delicious. The lobster was so meaty and juicy. I was pretty satisfied with that alone but then there were the other items too and I knew this was a good choice. No I didn’t share with my friend, because its all mine damnit. Ok maybe I gave her a potato. Shrimp was ok, potatoes were nice but a bit salty and the sausages were pretty good. The queen crab legs were just nice too. It was a good outing and it was close by. Overall I was left pretty satisfied. I had been wanting to try this spot for a while now. Food is about a 3.5 solid but I’ll round up. The service was tremendously excellent. The lobster was so good and buttery. I was in seafood heaven. I will definitely be returning especially with it being so close to home.

I had the East Cost Platter(Steer Clear), oil soaked fish, but wife had Ragin’ Cajun steam pot and it was great! Would have given another star on the Rag’in Cajun, but the East Coast ruined it!

Good service, good food for that type of restraunt, it was clean, updated and was an overall decent experience. Their specialty drinks were fun and their dancing is entertaining so it helped make it a nice evening.

Came here the other day to get some seafood. We ended getting 2 big pots, the arctic and the Joes Classic, as well as a normal size cajun one. You can upgrade the size so it comes with double seafood for an additional $ 20. The crab and lobster were really good, however I feel like you don’t get enough seafood for what you pay. It’s $ 50 for a double size portion of seafood which comes with 2 crabs some sausage and corn, and in my opinion it definitely not worth it. Also the crawfish were horrible quality, i think they were previously frozen, or old because they were really soggy and had a weird taste to them(about 5⁄15) we got. All in all i wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for value. I recommend going to boiling crab and just getting a pound of shrimp for $ 14, it will fill you up and their sauce has a better flavor. Definitely won’t be coming back

Been wanting to try this place for the longest time and the result was alright. To conclude, I wouldn’t want to come back:( From outside of the reataurant, I was already able to smell the seafood. However, the smell wasn’t too pleasant. The interior was really cute, not the biggest place but big enough and have outside seatings. Ordered two different type of pots, neither were really flavorful. There were no taste to it actually. Price wasn’t inexpensive either. They were decent but I honestly would stick to Boilkng Crab for the flavorful sauces. Oversll, I’ll stick to trying other new places that is an imitation of Boiling Crab for those wonderful sauces. if you like your seafood tasteless then ignore my review:)

The food wasn’t phenomenal the waiter did not check in with us enough and wasn’t very attentive. The calamari breading was soggy in some areas. The shrimp was good and the food came within 5 minutes of ordering. It came before our alcohol drinks and the water was never given to us until the end when we asked for it. The shrimp deal that they had going on was two pounds for 22 $ came with one corn on the cob and 3 potatoes and was worth it. Even though it was my first time here, it could have been that location so not going to turn the other ones down right away.

Stopped in for dinner after a day of The American Showcase cheer competition. We were seated quickly and tended to right away. Waitress Jillian was sensitive to Mom’s dietary restrictions and did an awesome job accommodating our substitutions. Mom, sister and I shared a steam pot for two – the lobsters and crab legs were more than enough for the three of us, and my niece even had a few crab legs! The potatoes were a miss though, just not done tender enough. Great service and entertainment will make sure I return to this location!

I think a lot of business that comes through here is the result of tourists staying in the nearby hotel resorts. There is a plethora of hotels in this immediate area which guarantees a certain level of business. The place was full at 9pm so I got a seat at the bar. Wary of getting seafood from a chain establishment, I hoped for the best and ordered the house crab boil. This came with half a stone crab, half a snow crab, half a dozen shrimp, corn, potatoes and a cajun style sausage. The crab was quite meaty and sweet even though it was obviously frozen seafood. The sausage was a surprising highlight — smokey and a little bit apicy. I got pretty good service from the bar staff but it appeared there was plenty of staff available in the general dining area so I expect service would be attentive.

Maybe my expectations were too high? I remember Joe’s serving these«impossible to eat» sized meals that you just rolled out of the restaurant fat and happy… We got a 2 person steampot and I walked away feeling somewhat unsatisfied. There were like 3 – 4 shimp, 3(halves) of small crabs with only one 1 of them having a decent sized claw, a smoked sausage, a cob of corn and a couple red potatoes. Nothing out of this world. Very«meh» Would have been 2 stars but their $ 2 apps on Tuesday was pretty awesome! The calamari was well above average! I would come back just for the fried calamari.

Been here several times and kind of become a routine for an after Disneyland day. It is really a cheesy, tacky, seafood Dennys type of restaurant. But that makes it cool. The wait staff is super cool and helpful which is always cool… In fact, my server told us ahead of time… If you buy a 15 dollar lobster, you get a 15 dollar lobster. Wink wink. All in all, a fun pleasant night out to eat could be a a lot worse…

Have you ever had a great meal and you couldn’t wait to write a review? Well, this is one of those times! Today, I told hubby that I wanted to go to Joe’s to try one of the steampots and they advertised that they had charbroiled oysters … Sold. The restaurant is about 5 miles from Disneyland and has plenty of free parking. We arrived during lunch-ner and were greeted by the hostess with warm smiles and a great welcome and we sat at one of the booths next to the bar. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Joe’s and I forgot how the restaurants are festively decorated … it’s a very chill shack that just makes you smile. Our bubbly young server arrived and asked if we had been to Joe’s before and I told her yes, but I’m here for the first time to try one of their steam pots and oysters. So hubby and I perused the menu while our server went to get our drinks. We ordered: (1) Charbroiled Oysters — Half Dozen I asked my server if they were good and she said they are delicious and you know what? They were FANTASTIC … MY6 oysters were charbroiled with parmesan and garlic butter. The delicate oysters were moist and charbroiled perfectly. Made me do the happy dance in my seat, lol I kept telling hubby, OMG… these are so delicious after each bite. This is a MUST order. (2) Two House Salads With Blue Cheese Hubby and I added a side house salad with blue cheese. I was surprised how big the salad was when it arrived. The lettuce, julienned carrots, cherry tomatoes, croutons and blue cheese were all fresh and tasty. (3) Arctic Bay Steampot Queen crab, shrimp, a whole Maine lobster, smoked sausage, corn on the cob and red potatoes all boiled in a garlic bath and topped with Old Bay® Seasoning. I asked the server in lieu of the potatoes would they just add more corn … her response, «Yes, definitely, I’ll just double the corn.» Again, great service! The server brought me 3 types of hot sauces, two containers of butter, malt vinegar, a whole plate of lemon, the utensils to eat by steampot(lobster cracker, tiny fork, & a special tool which helps you crack your crab legs like it was an envelope). Whole Maine Lobster OMG, my first bite of the lobster tail was SO tender and it just melted in my mouth. I could taste the garlic and old bay seasoning. It made me feel like in the movie when Harry met Sally… during her scene in the deli, lol I haven’t had a lobster that was so moist and tender in years. If you have dentures… take them out because you won’t have to use them if you order the lobster, lol I asked the server for a spoon because I luv the green tamale and red roe. She returned with a soup spoon, lol. She was probably wondering why I needed a spoon, lol I always wondered why peeps would just eat the lobster tail and throw everything else away. It takes some work but there’s lobster meat attached to the tiny legs. Queen Crab That special tool really works to get the crab meat out of it’s shell. I’m not really a big fan of crab unless it’s dungeness but again the crab meat was so delicate and very moist. My palate was happily dancing, lol Shrimp There were about 8 shrimps that were also delicious because of the garlic bath and old bay seasoning. I wish they served the shrimp with their heads,… slurping the shrimp heads with all of those juices is so magical. But again, the shrimps were so moist and I was a happy girl. Smoked Sausage As I was working my way down to my steampot, I was amazed that there was a WHOLE smoked sausage. I was pretty full by this time and just had a tiny bite and it was full of flavor. Two Whole Corn On The Cobs I was so HAPPY when the server brought my steampot and I saw two whole corns! Say what? Wow… I bit into one of the corns, and it was a lil under-cooked. But hell, this was the first time that I had to actually use my teeth, lol. So, it wasn’t a problem for me, lol (3) Two Blackened Mahi Tacos My hubby order the mahi tacos with were topped with green cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro and avocado lime dressing. Served with tortilla chips. He said everything was fresh & tasty. I typically try hubby’s entrees but I was too busy working on my steampot, lol Hubby ate his two tacos and was just starring at me and he said, «It looks like there’s too much work in your steampot. I replied … «Am I complaining? This is such a joy. It’s going to take me a while. Do you want to leave me here and you can walk around Disneyland for a while?» lol I LUVED my steampot which was so yummy and the service was attentive & wonderful! I had a 5 Stars dining experience!

I was invited to a friend’s birthday party to this restaurant when I was in Southern California. And absolutely fell in love with this place. Seafood– lots of seafood. Crabs and lobsters here are huge! They bring you a big basin. I took a lobster and queen crab a I remember. Also corn and potatoes are included. The process itself is super fun. You get to crack crabs and lobsters yourself. Also they have huge long tables, so it’s perfect for a big group of people.

OMG! I don’t know why people are not flabbergasted by this chain. The food was all so very yummy! I was very surprised as I was ready for it to come into comparison with Buba Gumps and Red Lobster, which is meh, but it so wasn’t. I really like seafood as you can tell by most of my reviews are at places that serve seafood. I have to say again how surprised I was at this chain as chain restaurants, for me, equate to Walmart/Target of food franchises. Joes is set in a surfer ambiance the décor is similar to Buba Gumps with the fish nets and pictures. However, this place did not lack in service, flavor, and drinks. We came here after a busy day of Disneyland because it was right next to our hotel. We saw so many things we like we ended up with lots of leftovers. I have an obsession with deep fried pickles, these compared to Hooters, were even better. Please don’t skimp your calories here, this place is definitely an explosion of flavor, butter, sausage, and deep-fried goodness. A must try, go for the Clam Chowder first! We both agreed the chowder was exceptional here and were still talking about it the next day. We also ordered Classic Sampler, which the Great Balls of Fire were the best and might I add, re-heated well for a midnight snack at the hotel. Our server was dressed in spirit of Halloween as the Hulk, lol! He was friendly and had a good conversation with my husband who tore through the steam pot!

Joes Crab Shack. To be honest, the food isn’t much and the prices aren’t fair. Compared to everything else that is out there and what other locations are doing with shrimp, crab, and Cajun. Joes is getting left behind. I think that joes would increase their business if they lowered the price a bit. This specific location might not have that problem since it is located on a prime location, which is heavily transited, next to hotels and Disneyland. It’s not all bad. The happy hour and specials they have are reasonably priced. However, the buckets and pots of sea food prices are outrageous. The deep fried shrimp and fish we had were extremely greasy. I would much rather choose a different sea food option then come to a joes and pay more to get less. I did also order some bacon wrapped shrimp but by that point my stomach was in shambles with what I had ate.

Many months ago we went to a different location. Our visit there was, well polite etiquette causes me to refrain from being overly descriptive. Let’s just say that location is no longer in operation. As part of their PR clean up, we were given 2 free appetizer coupons. We decided to give the franchise another shot. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly hostess. It took a while to get our drinks ordered, but once Michael made it to our table the evening went from mediocre to amazing in 2 coupons flat. He was super friendly, very helpful and a great waiter. We explained how rotten our last visit was, and he made it his mission to see to it that this one was memorable for a wholly different reason. We decided on shrimp and nachos for the appetizers, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the nachos were delicious. He ordered shrimp and fish, I wanting to cross it off my bucket list went for the steamer basket(mmmm lobster, crab and shrimp) The food arrived in a goodly fashion and we tucked in to eat. My lobsters claws were meaty and cooked just a tad over… but edible. The shrimp where cooked well and the sausage was delish. I’m not sure what happened to the lobsters tail, but it was chewy, stringy and covered in what appeared to be black bile? I didn’t finish it. Perhaps I just don’t like lobster as much as I’d thought. The crab was perfectly cooked, sweet and tender. I could eat this all night! His fish and shrimp were cooked well and tasty. On the whole, this trip was a complete sucess! We have decided that we would likely come back next time we are in town, if Michael is working. :)

This was our first time trying Joe’s Crab Shack and probably be our last. The seafood is just lacking that freshness. Some was cook perfectly, but most was just way over cooked and dry. On the bright side the service was great and fast. FOOD: Redfish N Lobster: This was probably the best dish. The fish was well prepared and the lobster sauce was on point. Arctic Bay Steampot: This was lacking flavor. The queen crab and the maine lobster was over cook and dry. The shrimps and the sausage were good. Samuel Adams Steampot: Pretty much the same thing as the first Steampot. Overall Joe’s Crab Shack is just your average seafood place. Nothing special and nothing stands out.
