Came into this spot for my lunch break and ordered the chicken taquito lunch special. Spent about 7 bucks came with 3 taquitos rice beans bag of chips and a Pepsi .food was really fresh and customer service was good .only 1 lady behind the counter so ordering took a little bit longer than I would have liked .but overall good experience !

Went to lunch here today since I was in the mood for mariscos and my co-worker and I decided to go here since its close by out office. This place is small but welcoming. Here was what we ordered. They give the complimentary chips and salsa and the salsa was delicious we asked for seconds. Co-worker ordered the shrimp fajitas and an horchata. Her total was almost $ 20. I thought I was a bit on the pricey side. The fajitas she stated were ok. The shrimp were a bit hard and the rice and beans were ok nothing out of this world. The horchata she said was too sweet. What she did love was the tortillas was they are handmade. I ordered the shrimp ceviche tostada and a shrimp gobernador taco(shrimp, cheese, grilled onions and some sauce) and a pineapple water. The ceviche was fresh but nothing too flavorful I’ve had better. The taco however was delicious it was flavorful and the tortillas were handmade. The pineapple was nothing spectacular. I made $ 14 for my lunch which is a bit pricier then some other places. All in all it was ok.

I’m a regular and believe me when I say they have the BEST menudo & Fajitas mix. Me and my husband enjoy coming here especially when our server Janet gives us great service all the time. She’s the BEST!

I’ve been to several mariscos and this one was pretty good! The food comes out fresh and full of flavor. I’ve tried several things from this place and I can tell you that the tacos are mediocre but the enchiladas are the go to! They are so fresh and ready to eat! I e also tried the ceviche which was pretty good.

My partner and I regularly visit this restaurant for a Sunday morning ‘hang over’ cure… Menudo! This location has the best menudo in Garden Grove, hands down. Many places serve canned menudo but this one clearly makes its own, the taste says it all. It is accompanied with hand made tortillas and condiments(cilantro, onion, oregano, lemon wedges, salsa). The place is rarely busy on a Sunday morning, so the service is prompt. It does have a great variety of food items and daily specials.

Sorry, but quite disappointing. Had to try it out. Ordered 2 of each Taco, chicken, beef, and pork to-go. When we unwrapped the beef tacos the smell was very unappealing, and no flavor, the chicken looked boiled and again tasteless, the pork was not bad, but not worth a second trip. Disappointed.

Carne asada burrito was bomb and so were the carnitas tacos — sometimes what tells You the most about a place is how good the rice & beans are(which most places rush) am talking about Mexican food

We had the carne asada tacos and the plato de asado they were excellent. The tortillas are made by hand there and are amazing. Their salsa was so good I bought some to take home with me to Arizona. Also their horchata was really good. My wife and I don’t like fish but they do have enough non fish stuff if you aren’t into mariscos.

Place is solid. Pretty authentic, the waitress started talking in Spanish to me first before she realized that I didn’t speak any. I ordered some fish fillet dish cooked in tin foil with shrimp underneath it. Really wasn’t too bad. Chips and salsa weren’t too bad either. I’d come back and try something else, though it’s true what the other reviewers have written, there is only 1 waitress there so service may be a little slow.

I have recently discovered Mariscos and there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of them in Garden Grove. This place is a total hole in the wall, but the tostada mix was really good and fresh. It has avocado, shrimps, white fish, and octopus in it but ready It has a kick! I drank like to two big cups of water and was sweating. haha! :P I enjoyed the food but the service here is really, really slow especially during lunch. So if you come here during your lunch hour you might want to call it in ahead of time. There was only one girl working the register and she took forever.

Awesomeness!!! I pass by this little place every Tuesday to go to chiropractor. Finally decided to stop by and try their Tuesday $.99 tacos they advertise on a sign. This time I ordered 2 Asada and 1 carnitas with orchata. Everything was quality and very delicious. They have a very authentic menu and serve all types of seafood. I’m going to order something diff each time. Looking forward to next chiro and Mariscos Puerto Escondido!!!

Unlike a good Unilocaler, I usually bring my lunch to work, which is right next door to this great little Mexican spot. I do this because I don’t have a lot of time for lunch, usually a few minutes, and because I try to eat rather healthy. The latter part of the previous statement you will laugh at when you read what I like at this divey Mexican joint with a nice pulse. I have frequented this place over the years and it has been through quite a few owners. I didn’t know any of the previous owners, but I know the lady who owns it now and she is a really nice lady. She does most of the cooking I believe and her daugther-in-law runs the front. I like them both a lot. They are not sickening sweet or the kind of people that will call you«hon» or anything, but simply nice people. The goods: Buche tacos. Yes, I know I said that I’m in to eating healthy… but they are really good! Some people can’t get past the texture of buche/pig stomach but it doesn’t bother me at all! Quite tasty. Lengua tacos. Once again, not the healthiest option on the menu especially because its organ meat, but quite tasty! I really like the red sauce… can’t remember which it comes with but I prefer the red. Side note: if you like lengua, go to the Thai Nakorn and try their bbq beef tongue… really delicious also in a completely different way. Shrimp diablo… not sure if this is the name of the dish but was really flavorful! The shrimp were pretty good sized as well. I wish I had a better description of this dish but tasty will have to do for now. Breakfast burrito. I had one a long time ago… it was filled with a lot of good stuff and kept me full for almost til dinner… and I typically eat every 2 – 3 hours. Once again, do the red sauce. Asada/carnitas/chicken tacos. All pretty good. Probably not going to knock your socks off but this is Garden Grove during lunch not LA street tacos after a night in Hollywood or Mexico itself. If you dine in you get nice hot chips and salsa. I think they have menudo on Sat and Sun. Haven’t tried it yet, but will eventually and update. I like eating here because they have a good selection of food, nice people who work here, the food comes out quick and its tasty. Something else I like is that they have a juke box and TV’s so I can catch my Tele Novela/or a Futbol game as well as listen to some good Spanish tunes. They serve beer too! but I never can drink because I have to go back to work :(
