OC Brewhouse

Eh. Over priced bar food that really didn’t taste great. I had a grilled cheese with 3 different cheeses, avocado, and bacon. I asked for no swiss, but swiss was on it. My side was green bean fries and those were really good. Husband thought his meal was ok. He liked that he could take a beer to our room at the Hyatt Regency.

Dropped in on a Tuesday night after checking into the Hyatt. I was alone so I just grabbed a seat at the bar even though they told me I could sit anywhere. Johnny was the bartender and pretty much the reason why I’m reviewing. Told him I liked ambers and just wanted a the sampler of his favorite beers. He has good taste ;). I ordered the wings and a pizza. He told me the pizza may be too big for me, so he had me order a kid size instead (thank goodness). I finished half my food. Wanted another drink and Johnny made me his favorite, the Bee’s Knees. It was refreshingly delicious. Put it in the menu OCB!
Overall, good relaxing night. Thanks Johnny for the friendly conversation and sharing those Harry Potter jelly beans!

Most excellent salmon and brioche sandwich I’ve ever had. Would have eaten there every day of our stay except for obligations elsewhere with our conference friends. Dreaming of this sandwich! YUM!

The waitress was so awesome took a while since we sat first but daughter loved her pepperoni pizza and I had this awesome quinoa salmon and kale kids meal omg sooo awesome!

The blackened salmon sandwich is tasty as are the green bean fries which, although greasy, are addictive (especially with a nice pint of cold Stone IPA. Service is slow at the bar, however, and understaffed. Expansive oval shaped marble bar for plenty of seating.

Nice selection. Really good pizza. Love the Philly cheese steak. Currently attending a meeting at the hotel and have eaten most of meals here. The service on the first day was pretty slow so I had to just grab a waiter, but other than that first visit here on the first day of the meeting, the service has been fine.

We had the burgers last night and they were delicious. Today for lunch we had the pizza and it was soggy and under cooked. It also took long to arrive, so perhaps they had to remake it and didn’t cook it all the way. Regardless, Johnny our bartender was super friendly and gave us great service.

Great quick lunch. I’m here twice a year and never disappointed. Blackened salmon sandwich is awesome.

Bartender is cute and the beers are plenty cold. What more does a guy want? Tip for the chef… the cheese on the nachos could be better, no processed cheese give me the real stuff!

It was pretty much average food with an above average price. FYI, this place does not have a happy hour. So, if you’ve spent all day walking around the magic kingdom longing for an ice cold happy hour beer, go somewhere else. The CA burger was pretty good but pricy, $ 14.50 I think. The sweet potato fries were also good but not as hot as I like my fries. The beer was very tasty and cold, just pricy but apparently in the shadow of the mouse, everything costs an arm and a leg. If I were to stay here again, I’d probably go back for sheer convenience. If you blew all your cash buying Disney junk, find somewhere else that is a little nicer to your wallet.

Good selection, decent food and service. Prices SUCK. Portions are terrible. It’s one thing to overprice a good portion, but overpricing a tiny serving is annoying. I guess the philosophy of these big hotels is that repeat customers are scarce but I come to this hotel a lot and will never eat here again.

So after my friends and I got ejected from the Star Wars Celebration… you know when you are still there like 45 minutes after the event and they tell you to gtfo… yeah that was us… so we decided that we were famished a bit.
So one of my friends pulls out his phone and goes where do you wanna eat? none of us knew anything good nearby, so he randomly said ohhhhh OC Brewhouse… lets go they have beer!
So we rolled back to our cars changed out of costumes (well I did) and headed over. Meanwhile the guy who picked the place ejected to see his gf and the rest of us cruised in.
Unfortunately this restaurant /​brewhouse is located inside of a hotel… who knew right… ohhh well we should have known better.
The food wasn’t the best but it wasn’t bad. It was just overpriced. Yes our fault for eating in the Disneyland tourist zone. So we will call the grub about average…
and here is where everything fell apart. We were seated at a table that had a TV at it. Granted three guys just out of the Star Wars Celebration on a Saturday night… what do they have stuck on the TV??? access hollyweird or some crap. They couldn’t change the channel either =(ohhhh but they didn’t tell us that they couldn’t change the channel at first… we asked for espn or something and it just never happened and we didn’t hear why. So we asked again later and were told the TV cant change channel and the people next to us wanted to watch that show even though the TV was at OUR table… WTF!
Pro Tip #1: This is not your first choice to eat or drink, last choice this is.
My beer came out missing its head. It also took almost 10 minutes to receive it!!! SERIOUSLY PEOPLE HOW HARD IS IT TO DRAW A BEER AND BRING IT TO THE TABLE! I almost sent it back but I was dieing of thirst after having been in stormtrooper armor all day and not drinking anything so I wouldn’t have to use the restroom as its like a 30 min + process argh! So I just had to suffer a headless beer as I couldn’t wait however much longer it would take to get mine… GRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Pro Tip #2: If eat here you must, Unilocal check in will you save 10%.
Our meals at least came out properly. However it took about 15 – 20 minutes for the waitress to stop by our table again and I finally got a refill on the water she brought with my grub… Im telling you I was thurstay and hungray big time… We all were to be honest. We devoured our average grub.
Right after I got my water the manager stopped by to ask if we had any complaints… we just looked at each other and rolled our eyes… it was too late by then so we shooed him away.
So subpar very slow service, its not like this place was hoppen with a million peeps either, its a hotel restaurant for heavens sake! The food was average. ohhh and this is a Brewhouse that doesn’t know how to serve beer! WTF! I wonder if they swirled it to get a false head and it dissipated fast or they just didn’t give a rats azz…
I highly recommend that you skip this place…

During a recent stay, and actually multiple stays at this Hyatt hotel, I’ve frequented the in house lounge, OC Brewhouse. It’s a fun atmosphere with a couple widescreen TVs to watch the game or movies. The food is a bit pricy for bar food, but the drinks have been spot on.
This most recent night, I enjoyed the blackened salmon sandwich. Its a healthy portion of salmon blackened with cajon seasoning served with coleslaw and drizzled with a chipotle aioli sauce that adds just the right amount of spice to it for me. It’s served on a soft brioche bun with a side of fries. The slaw also added a nice crisp crunch to each bite.
I also enjoyed a margarita on the rocks. Not a fishbowl glass, but simple salted. Hit the spot after a long day.
Each and every time we’ve been here, it is extremely busy. Service gets bogged down due to the number of spaces guests can relax in. It took almost 30 minutes for my sandwich to arrive and longer for the margarita.
So at this point, 3 stars for the timing of service. Our waiter was good, but just took a while for him to get around. Food and drinks taking a half an hour, not acceptable for bar food. The food and drink itself, good. Again, a bit pricy for bar food as well.

Came here with my boyfriend during our sweetheart valentine’s trip to Disney land. We LOVED being able to get drunk in the lobby of our hotel room!!! It was so convenient and the bartender was such a sweet heart!
We both had tequila sunrises and then I had a dark and stormy… which was so delicious and had a strong alcohol taste. something I love. My boyfriend had some fruity girly drinks.
We also ordered the nachos and they were the perfect portions! after about three drinks each we were calling the bartender barwench and making fun of all the ballerina dancers that were wandering around from the dance convention in the hotel.
I can’t wait to come back here. I would stay in this hotel and drink at this bar over and over again.

I spent many of days going between the brewhouse and the pool and don’t have one complaint. They have a nice beer selection if you drink and a nice menu selection if you get hungry. I ordered the Ahi Poke Lettuce Wrap w/​Ginger Sesame Dressing. Something light to feel you up and not too heavy on your stomach. The bartenders are very friendly and they have a few TVs to keep you entertained. There are also a few stations if you want to charge your device. The free wifi is a plus.

Small portions. Overpriced. Food is good quality; I like that they use grass fed beef in their burgers– you can taste the difference. However, it took over an hour for our two burgers to come out… Ice cold! By this point we were starving. The manager took over from here on, and expedited our second try at the burgers through the kitchen. My OC BBQ bacon burger came out warm this time, and was pretty good. My wife’s lettuce wrapped burger was still icy cold, but she was so famished by this point she didn’t even care.
I appreciated that they comped our burgers in the end, but think they should have comped my beer as well. By the time our burgers finally made it out, my beer was already an hour past being finished, whereas I had ordered it to drink WITH my burger.

Was staying at the Hyatt Regency where this is located. I really enjoyed the mushroom burger which came with a salad. My husband had the Parmesan Chicken sandwich that came with a Cesar Salad. We enjoyed it.
Staff was very friendly and place was clean.

Love this place in the Hyatt Regency OC.
First off there is a little area where kids can watch a movie with kid sized seating without being too far from the table. The kids menu offers healthy options which is rare even for very nice restaurants where the kids menu always seems like an afterthought. FYI, the kids fruit and veggie plate is basically a salad so it was not a hit with the kids but I thought it was delicious!
Hubby and I shared fish tacos which were good. We managed to also catch part of the World Cup with a beer so they have something for everybody here!

It’s like a BJ’s brewsteraunt in the hotel. You pay for the convenience.
There’s flat screens showing «the game», enough lounge areas for tradeshow peeps to schmooze, and there’s even a sitting area for kids to watch Disney moves so that their parents can down shots of tequila in peace.
I placed an order for two burgers, a beer sampler, and a blue moon for takeout, $ 45. 15 minutes later I was on my way up the elevator back to my room.
The burger was solid for being a hotel burger. Mines (The California — $ 14) had grass fed beef, chipotle aoli, avocado, pepperjack, and poblano peppers. It also came with a heap of sweet potato fries, decent value.
Pretty much all the beer from the sampler was OK, dull on flavor but served cold enough.
