The idea of a rooftop bar is lovely. The execution? not so great. I didn’t feel like there were enough seats or enough room up there. The prices of the drinks were very high for what you got. I’ve had a better gin and tonic elsewhere. The only reason to go is to admire the view but to see anything you will have to stand. In a seat, the safety railing will be at face level. They should have raised that railing six inches. Also, it took awhile to get a drink. the employees hung out in a cluster by the cash register. I far preferred the hotel lobby bar at the Hotel Galvez. Better service, better drinks, better view.

Happy hour apparently had ended, the $ 11 martini was nice with the slight breeze and a lovely sunset. The five gallon jug of stale looking bar nuts was waiting patiently for the gulls. There ought to be a warning sign as the gulls are swarming above your head and not squaking too loud, yet. Mini photo ops, the offshore drilling rigs lit up at night remind you where you are. Weather makes this place, and the giant flower pots that glow, no service did we get without going directly to the bar, the wait staff consisted of the sour and dour twins. The rest of the patrons were also having to go to the bar to get their poison, Tuesday p must be an off night. One of my fav Texas establishments but the service was not happening.
