Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits

After reading the other reviews about this location, it seems I’m not the only one who has received sub-​par service here. When I visited there was a sign on the drive through menu sign that says to «pull forward to the window when ready to place your order». When I pulled up to the window, I could see the cashier talking on her cellphone… she made eye contact with me and then looked away while continuing to talk on her phone. So after a couple of minutes of waiting, I honked my horn… again the cashier turned around and looked at me and then went back to talking on her phone. I drove around to the front and parked my car and went inside. The window cashier (who apparently is also the counter cashier — the interior of the store is extremely small) walked up to the counter and said «what do you want?». I requested a two piece combo and she looked at me and said «Well aren’t we impatient? Well we don’t got no chicken». Nevermind the fact that there was a bunch of chicken on the warming tray behind her and other people were in the restaurant eating. While I was standing there, someone pulled up to the drive through. Another employee started to walk over to the window, and the cashier yelled at her «get your a** away from there, I’ll take care of it after I’m done with this one». She then repeated to me that they «didn’t have no chicken» and I should leave.
No restaurant with waitstaff this rude is worth visiting again…

Now I know why KFC actually had some customers while Popeye’s was dead. The lady at the drive-​thru had the worst attitude and didn’t know the menu. After ordering and paying, we were asked to pull around to the front and she would bring our food out to us. The two cars in the drive-​thru behind us paid, received their food and left when we decided to go in and check on the order. They were still bagging up our food… a 2 piece combo with 2 sides and a 4 piece tender combo with 1 side. Not a very complicated order!
The food was mediocre at best! Will never go back to this Popeye’s!

I give this particular Popeyes a few chances to prove its worthy! Sadly this was the last strike! I’m highly upset about my food and attitude received. I only wanted a $ 5 box with strips, red beans, Cajun potatoes, and barbecue sauce. I was giving regular chicken, two red beans, and sauce. When told my order was wrong… Eyes were rolled and too much extra tud!
Now I’m in my law enforcement uniform so I also must remain professional. But all that was not called for. Thank you Popeyes franchise in Galveston Texas on Broadway St. I will be not continuing to pay you my hard earned money.

What happened to me here at this Popeyes strains credibility it is so outrageous. I decided to call the restaurant and complain because it was not the first time I found a chicken strip to be raw inside. I told the manager on duty and she said «bring it back and I will replace your whole meal».
I didn’t get back over there until the next morning, Sunday. I explained to the woman at the drive-​through window the situation, she was the manager on duty that morning. She refused to replace my meal. She said I need to bring back all of the meal in order to get another meal. So I told her «well at least you owe me one» she was very rude during this entire incident. She reluctantly said «I can give you one but no more».
I placed the box up on the windowsill and asked her how she got to be a manager. She threw the box at me through my window, hitting me in the face. She slammed the window shut screaming «I don’t have to give you nothing!!» I waited in the drive-​through because I didn’t want to leave without getting my one chicken strip. Without another word to me, she called the police. Two cop cars with their sirens blazing pulled into the parking lot and threatened me with towing my vehicle if I didn’t move from the drive thru.
This whole incident she created with the customers that were waiting behind me and the customers that were in the store over one chicken strip.

I will say that the food was ok, but its supposed to be fast food. It took 20 minutes to get our order and the place was practically empty. There was a group of employee friends that got their food really fast though. This location isn’t worth it.

Went to this Popeye’s last night for dinner. The service was horrible the crew was rude and not very willing to accept subsitutions to the order. The best kicker is after repeating my order correctly the drive thru still messed up my order. Now on to the food. The the food was not hot when I got it both the chicken and the sides I did get. All in all horrible experience. I am a big fan of Popeye’s normally and have never had a bad experience at any of the locations I have visited either at home or on the road in my travels.

This Popey’s is great for a deal. One of the ladies behind the counter reminds me of the soup nazi from Seinfield. She will not take combo orders, and if you order wrong, she will correct you on the spot. The good thing is she does not ban you for a year and is very nice when you get into the proper routine. She just wants to line to move fast and get what she needs by training the people.
