Church’s Chicken

Just don’t. Don’t do it! You have been warned!
Let me start with the only almost good thing, the food was ok. It was average fried chicken. Nothing to special to report on that, but it wasn’t bad either. Just plain, average food.
Why is this place so bad?
Well, first up the place is just dirty. The tables were all dirty and I had to clean it off myself. The counter was messy. The shoes even stuck to the floor in numerous places. Everything was just blah. It needs a major scrub down and facelift. It was just uncomfortable being in there.
Second, the way the orders are taken and handled. You order at the counter and they then holler it over their shoulder. Then people in the back holler back up front. So much hollering it was just crazy and headache indusing. It’s weird too since the person who takes your order puts everything into a computer and there are screens in the kitchen, so I have no idea why everyone was hollering.
Third, the food takes FOREVER. We ordered and were the only ones waiting for food. It was over 10 minutes before our food was ready to be picked up, even though I saw food being prepped and boxed up in the back. Guess how we found out it was ready? Yep, they hollered our food was ready even though I was standing right there to grab it.
We had gone to this place because we were 4 hours from home and really needed to get on the road. This Church’s was right next to the gas station where we filled up our car. We thought it would be easier to grab fast food here and hit the road for the drive home. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely drive further, even if we are starving, than stop here again. Just don’t waste your time or money here.

We found finger nails in the mashed potatoes and it made my boyfriend sick. Also they hung up on me when I called and YELLED at me cause they couldn’t here me. The service was terrible and awful disrespect

And then, instead of trying to remedy the situation, the manager hung up.

It’s a fast food chain. However, the staff was wonderful and fast. The lady at the register was wonderful and friendly. Those in the back work like a team and it provided a wonderful experience. Very good for a chain restaurant. I’d visit again.

I pretty much avoid going to fast food restaurants on Broadway, since I have had pretty much nothing but bad service over the years, however today co-​workers out-​voted me. Needless to say, history repeats itself and yet again I had bad service at a Broadway fast food establishment.
I ordered the 4 piece chicken strip combo, which came with medium fries, a roll, and a medium tea.
I have uploaded a photo of the «meal» so you can see just how tiny the strips were. I went back up to the counter to complain and the assistant manager told me «That be four pieces! Is you blind?». They must have been the world’s smallest strips… actually, they were more like chicken «shreds». The fries… well…“small” must be the new «medium»…although they did include two pieces of fried okra as a «bonus», I guess.
The bathroom was filthy and smelled of marijuana and urine, and there was a guy standing by the door panhandling people as they went in.
Never again!
