Well done movie considering it covers an event before movies existed. The theater is a welcome break to get out of the heat and sit down for a while. Clean bathrooms.

Such a good idea in theory and I hear not was an award winner, BUT, the WHOLE movie was extremely GLITCHY!!! The WHOLETHING!!! It woulda been a great affordable, informative thing to do on a hot summer day, but it was a bit waste of money for a large group we had go see it… Thankfully after much debate and asking the older man to speak with the boss he had on the line, he was ‘able’ to give my $ back’

Good film to educate you about the hurricane that came through Galveston in 1900. One of the employees messed with the speakers, so not as much impact when we visited, but still worth the visit.

The Great Storm film is entertaining and worth watching. I’d skip the amateurish film on Jean Lafitte though.

Other than being twice as much money as advertised(5 $/person for a film made years ago and played over and over people!) this was a nice historical film with the proper balance of political correctness(proper inclusion of women, children, and racial minorities), historical facts, stunning pictures, and cheesy narration. Everything you hope a visitor’s center film to be and more. Good mix of interesting books/picturebooks in the lobby.
