99 Cents Store

This one is closest to my house yet its always dirty and cluttered and smelly. The one on shaw near Blythe is a complete 180, clean and well lit. And it’s bigger. Same company, same store but i go out of my way to not visit this one. If you do, come in the morning because it gets crowded and messier once afternoon and evening hit. Seem to always have only one or two registers open with the longest lines.

The place is a mess. in all the years I’ve been goin there I’ve never seen it so terrible. And the lines are ridiculous. rarely have enough lanes open and keep people waiting. And whatever you do never leave a bag up front cause mine has been stolen before.

I recently just started shopping at this store because it’s close to where I work. It’s the 99 cent store so I’m not expecting much in the realm of cleanliness. However, the store closer to my home is exceptional. My concerns with this store is the customer service. The floor staff was quite nice. However management is needed for exchanges and returns. There appears to be only one person that does this, so you have to wait on that person to complete there other task. So now I sit waiting forgotten at a vacant register…

Now I know this is not the most fanciest place to shop, however make sure you lock your doors and be very aware of your surroundings. It is the 99 cent store!
I really love shopping here for things like aluminum pans, cups, and other things that I need when I’m having big events. Why spend $ 4 on a pan for Turkey when for $ 0.99 you can get the same one! This 99 cent store has a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetable depending on the season. And yes some of which are organic.
I like to shop the frozen section first for being a lie turkey sausage and yogurt blends that can sometimes be pricey but are just $ 0.99 here. I also buy my crystal light and Hawaiian Punch fruit mix is because they’re $ 0.99 here as well. If you’re going on a trip it’s great to stack up on snacks from candy, popcorn, beef jerky and a variety of different drinks. I like to get some of my canned goods here as well. They are the only place that offers my Chipotle hot sauce love!
Be forewarned you might roll into a parolee or someone who just got out of jail. I know I have. however the common goal is to get the best available products for the lowest price and this door meets and exceeds that expectation.

Purchased a defective as seen on TV egg scrambler and cracker at the location in Clovis. I was in the area of this store and brought it in with my receipt to return it for a refund. The counter woman said this store gives them away for free and she wasn’t refunding me. I said I have the receipt showing I paid for it. I ask to speak to the manager. He comes over and says that I have to return it at the other store. I say you’ve got to be kidding me. This is the same store, just different location. It’s ONE DOLLAR people. Really? Finally after he senses I’m going to create a big scene he goes over to another register and refunds my money. I will NEVER return to this location!

Not a fan of dollar stores. But I wanted to check it out. Half the people that shop here are friendly. There’s a cute cashier who works here :) oh the bad about this store is That there are about 5 people outside walking thru the parking lot begging for change.

Customer service, not so great. A friend and i went to get some balloons for a party, while we waited for them to be inflated the lady asked if we were in a hurry, my friend said yes and the lady proceeded to blow up the balloons as slow as possible, it took about 30 minutes to blow up 10 small balloons, but it is the 99 cents store so i guess i shouldn’t expect much.
