I was so confused driving here, should’ve read the latest reviews that it changed to G.G. Skewer. I was all excited to try the noodles based on the pictures and was quite disappointed when I arrived. The menu here doesn’t offer much, and it’s not very descriptive at all. Unless you can read the Chinese, I’d say, good luck. They offer a lot of small plates, and skewers after 5pm. They only had 2 noodles options(with 2 other ones blocked out on their menu, one being the most basic beef noodle soup– lame), and 2 fried rice dishes. It’s obviously catered for you to order small plates and skewers. Amongst the two of us, we ordered a spicy and sour pork noodle which I actually enjoyed a lot. The noodles had a great texture, the soup tasted good, but there were too much veggies in the bowl and barely any thinly cut pork in there. We also ordered the spicy fried rice which came out really dry. Flavor was just mediocre as well. And we figured we’d try their skewers(1 lamb, 1 beef and 1 fishball). They were all rolled in cumin and other spices, same flavor, and wasn’t bad at all actually. Some pieces were saltier than others though. The restaurant itself is very clean, but I do feel like it’d be hard for a non mandarin speaker to come here to eat. I can do conversational mandarin so I tried, but didn’t feel comfortable ordering in mandarin so I switched to English, but the majority of the meal when they came to drop off the skewers and food, he had to speak in mandarin. For the price, I thought it was decent($ 23 for the two of us with what we ordered), and we were full. But the lack of options makes me a tad skeptical to come back. I think if I wanted to noodles, I’d definitely come back here because that was in fact one of the better spicy and sour pork noodles I’ve had. I’d say it’s between a 2 and a 3 star place.

Writing a review for a closed restaurant… A big fan of the 香菇素肉燥面(mushroom vegetarian meat noodle, vegan) and shrimp stir-fried noodles, this hand-pulled noodle place offer consistent, fresh, well-made and presented 面. They do noodles right, IMO surpass QQ and Okay noodles. A hidden gem and THE place to get my noodle fix, very sad it is now closed. The wait staff are also consistently nice and courteous. One is working on his master’s, best of luck to him.

FOOD: Just from looking at the names on the menu, I do not know what most of the things on the menu are. The pictures are helpful and make the dishes look good. I’m a fan of the braised beef noodle soup and garlic sauce pork noodle. I LOVE the chewy texture of the noodles(«QQ» texture), the meats are tender and flavorful, and the broth/sauce taste good. SERVICE: When my boyfriend and I had gone there for dinner, most of the tables were occupied and there was one employee running around trying to tend to all of us. Poor guy. The service was just okay. It’s not much different from other Chinese places but it isn’t terrible. The guy was nice enough though. PLACE: Totto doesn’t look all that nice but it’s good enough for me to eat in and that’s what matters. It’s too bad there’s no aquatic creatures to look at in their big fish tank. MISC: Bring cash. Come hungry.

Pretty authentic Taiwanese food(and interior design too). This restaurant focuses on different kinds of noodles — dry and soup-based — and some small local dishes as well. It also claims their noodle are all«手打» — meaning its made by hand instead of by machine. Decided to give the garlic pork sauce noodle(dry) a try. Man, the noodle is really chewy and thick — you can instantly taste the difference comparing with just a regular noodle shop. The massive amount of garlic and slightly-spicy sauce is at the bottom of the bowl. It turned out it wasn’t so spicy, but if you are just a garlic-liker but not garlic-lover I would suggest you use ~70% of the garlic they provide, otherwise the garlic taste will overshadow the pork and noodle themselves, which are both great. It comes with lots of pork and its marinated very well. Waiters service is okay. I will come back next time for both tomato egg dry noodle or braised beef noodle, both look good from the pictures!

QQ Noodle resurrected? I think so! Familiar dishes with the same algae filled fish tank present! My bro in law and I came here one evening to get our noodle fixes. Instead of going for soupy noodles this time, my bro suggested to get a dry noodle dish. Since I was accustomed to having wet noodles, I decided to give a dry noodle dish a shot. The menu still had the same offering as it’s former counter part. For my dish I end up with the egg & tomato noodles. I know I’m a carnivore, but is was something new I wanted to try without any red meat. The entrée didn’t take long to be presented. Served hot in a large bowl, filled with noodles, scrambled eggs, and tomatoes. The noodles were soft and chewy. I had to use a pair of scissors to cut the noodles into manageable bites. The scrambled eggs and tomatoes paired well with the noodles. It reminds me of my mom’s home cooking, except for the noodles. It was mountains of garlic fried rice. For being a meatless dish, I did enjoy it.

So good! It’s a noodle place with flavors coming from their ingredients and not from additional salts or powders(or not that I know of, haha). I got the long time beef noodles and my boyfriend got the hot & spicy beef noodle soup. Both were very good with the meat soft and proportionate to the amount of noodles we had. Neither of us finished the noodles as the portions were so big! Unfortunately, when we arrived we didn’t see the credit card minimum of $ 25 sign since we were so hungry… Our bill for 2 noodles after tax came out to $ 19.60. We only had a twenty on us. As they were already closed, we couldn’t come back to leave tip. Our server was very understanding and laughed about it. I felt really bad since I’m usually pretty strict about tipping, having experience in the restaurant business myself… Anyway, this summary is just a reminder for me to tip him more than double next time I come back… Which will be very soon!
