Came here for the first time looking for a bite to grab on my way between work and school. The taco truck that was next door to my work moved so I was in search for a replacement. This taco truck cost twice as much as it would cost me at my old truck. Normally I buy tacos but there tacos were 2 for $ 6 which was to expensive for me since 2 tacos never fill me up. I ended up getting a carne Asada(steak) burrito bowl for $ 8 which was definitely worth the price. It was in a box container but was huge for 1 person to eat. Unfortunately my phone died so I was not able to take a picture. The burrito bowl tasted good, good was warm and appeared fresh which I liked. Meat also seemed fresh as well(no stomach pains after 12 hours good sign). They also sell burritos, tacos, burrito bowls, rice and bean plates, quesadillas and more. They sell soda and give free peppers/carrots/onions that you grab yourself to add to your food to give it a little more of a kick. I definitely liked their food but this isn’t my truck. I will still keep searching for the perfect cheap priced taco truck in Fremont!

This place is extremely cheap and fills you up. But I have definitely had better Mexican food. I’d rather go to another Mexican taco truck or even super taco not too far away. Friendly service and salsa is on the side! Flavors were decent but kinda on the plain side :(definitely a popular spot for locals though but I just don’t see it.

Whoever said the food is cheap, is wrong. It costed me 85 $ for the regular burrito… Yes! Eighty five dollars for the regular burrito!!! Jokes apart, I happen to lock out of my van while eating and it costed 75 $ plus 5.75 for burrito that was humongous with so much of chicken! Hands down, it is cheapest, tasted good, food was warm, lot of meet. Became my favorite.

Cannot believe their 16 inch super burrito is only 8.75, which is definitely enough for two people to eat. Best deal ever… The burrito is delicious and flavorful but there is no salsa or guacamole. So I guess there is sort of a reason why it’s so cheap… But it really is a great deal nonetheless :-)

Went a couple of times and it was all good. The last time was not so good. Always order a bowl with double pastor and no rice. Got home and found it had almost no cheese or lettuce and a big ocean of grease. It was a greasy sloppy mess. May go back but it will be a while. Very disappointed.

One of my big go-to places for street tacos. Wait time isn’t too bad, but depending on the day it can get pretty busy! — The carne asada has been a hit or miss(sometimes oversalted) — Tripas, lengua, chicharrones and al pastor are my usual order of tacos, because i can never decide between them… so i end up getting them all… lol — Monster size burritos, I’ve only ordered these w/asada… which for the most part was kinda meh… — They have salsa & pickled veggies on the side Overall, great little pick me up option for some decent tacos!

By far the best taco truck around! Pastor is always my favorite me to get, but I also love their carne Asada! Their meat isn’t too dry and really flavorful! I am a huge fan of their tacos, but tons of my friends get the burritos. hUGE! And ridiculously cheap for what you get! Definitely worth trying!

Highly over-rated. While service is fairly quick, they skimp on meat portions. My Al Pastor burrito had so little meat it almost qualified as a vegetarian version. Mine was just as if they had taken the meat from a taco and put only that amount into the burrito. It was the worst burrito I’ve ever had from a taco truck. Not only that but the meat lacked flavor. With as much competition as there is amongs t taco trucks there is no way I would give them another opportunity. Too many options, too many good choices to give these guys another try. If you go be forewarned.

Granted I haven’t eaten from this fine dining establishment in years– but it was amazing. I was in a point where my diet was on the back burner and I was in my ol’ stomping grounds. The«Burrito Truck» met all my junior high expectations of cheesy, creamy, well flavored rice, and perfectly spicy burrito goodness. If you’re condiment crazy like I am, and you enjoy the heat, you’ll likely go through at least 4 little hot sauces.(For those that are new to the truck, the sauces and containers [plus pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions] are in the little metal cabinet doors to the right of the ordering station). I ordered a regular veggie and somehow made it last two sittings. Back in the day a super burrito would feed me for two meals, I was too cheap to shell out for a super this time but if you’re a carnivore I would definitely splurge. It still might be hit or miss, but«The Burrito Truck» will hold a special place in my heart.

8 tacos for $ 13…sooo good… I had chicken, carne, ad tongue, I liked them all! The carne is not cubed or super grilled, so that was not what I was expecting. All were really good though! You have to eat it with the sauce because it’s really good. I came here around 6 and people were waiting in line. I would definitely come back again!

I’ve been coming to this Taco truck for as long as I can remember. Back in the day when it used to be in the parking lot of the video rental store(Autozone). The food is amazing and the super burrito can feed two(or a really hungry me). It was literally the length of my computer keyboard. But where it thrives in length it lacks in girth. They have self-serve hot sauce and veggies and cold drink. The tacos are amazing too with the diced onions and cilantro. I usually get the carnitas or carne asada. The prices aren’t what they used to be but for the amount of food you get, it’s still very worth it. There is some shady area under trees behind the truck where you can eat at if you don’t want to eat in your car and you can usually find parking right by the truck because it’s never really too crowded.

Went to this place earlier because of the Unilocal reviews. Let me start by saying yes, the super burrito is HUGE. Regardless of the fact how big the burrito is, it does not offset the taste of the food. Me, personally, id rather have a decent size burrito that tastes good. The taste was bland. The carne asada and the pork were dry. On top of that there was not even that much meat. It was full of beans and rice with meat every now and then. My gf and I split one whole super burrito and I was tired of it by the time I was halfway done with my half. The two stars was for the siZe. Nothing else.

I had been looking forward to coming here for awhile after seeing such great Unilocal reviews but I was so disappointed. My brother and I got a super burrito and three lengua tacos. A few bites into the burrito, I noticed all I had eaten was rice. I unwrapped the burrito to check and sure enough, the ENTIRE arm length burrito was filled with rice, tiny bits of onion and beans, and 5 crumb sized pieces of BURNT carne asada. I was so disgusted I threw the entire thing away. The lengua tacos were okay but definitely weren’t the best. From now on I will suck it up and make the 20 minute drive to taco negris instead of stopping here.

Feels like Mexico, smells like Mexico, digests like Mexico. This place is now called Ofelia’s Taqueria, parked in the parking lot of Pacific Hand Car Wash(a half block from where Google Maps says it is on Trimboli). Seems to be the only taco truck in the vicinity. We procured the following: ***TACOS — Carne Asada, Pastor, Pollo, & Lengua; Cilantro, Onion, & Sauce Not bad at all, about as true Mexican as you can find in the area, though it has a street food quality to it – the meat was a bit dry like it’d been sitting there for too long. The beef tongue meat was particularly soft and supple. Not a lot of adornment on these little guys – I had them add sour cream. They’ve got a green and a red salsa – decent but nothing special. These are not artisan tacos, but they’re authentic. ***SOPE — Carnitas, Cheese, Beans, & Sour Cream Quite nice – hard to find sopes at most places. Simple beany pleasure with that yummy chewy masa crunch. The meat was unmemorable, and the adorning lettuce and tomato standard. ***REGULARBURRITO — Carne Asada, Rice, Beans, Cheese, and Sauce We weren’t big fans of this, but gringos have forever altered my expectations of this, so I prefer a big saucy burrito with sour cream & guacamole and little to no rice as opposed to the drier Mexican counterpart with sparser ingredients and more rice. Damn you, Taco Bell. ALLINALL: It wasn’t quite at the level I expected it to be at quality-wise, but it was a decent and certainly authentic meal.

Came here on a whim for lunch and got the super burrito to share with my coworker. IT’S HUGE! The burrito I mean: P It was EASILY enough for both of us and then some. I got the carne asada and was totally happy. Okay maybe a hair shy from totally. There was red salsa available but no salsa verde :( Regardless! It’s no wonder this place is poppin! The parking situation kind of stinks — you have to park on the street and if you hit a small rush, you’re screwed or you have to walk. A block or two won’t kill you though… rev up that appetite! I’ll be back for the tacos. They looked amazing! :D OH! and LENGUA! Enough said. :)

Great taco truck. It could rival Tacos Negris in Fremont but the only thing is that the people working Tacos La Perla aren’t as welcoming. However, their food is pretty bomb. TACOSPASTOR ~ 4 stars ~ $ 1.50 each: Great flavor and good portions. Like Tacos Negris, Tacos La Perla is very generous with their meats. The Pastor(pork) has great flavor and good texture. La Perla’s tacos are 25 cents more expensive than Negris but oh well, no big deal. I highly recommend trying this. REGULARCARNEASADABURRITO ~ 4 stars ~ $ 6.00: This burrito comes with rice, beans, onions, cilantro, salsa cheese and your choice of meat. It’s pretty big, however, I’m sure it’s way smaller than their Super Burrito. I thought about getting the Super but decided not to since I also got two tacos. Overall, the burrito was pretty good. Not the best, but good. It’s dense which is something I like in a burrito. Make sure to get a lot of extra salsa which they provide outside their food trunk — you can take as much as you want. PICKLEDCARROTS ~ 4 stars ~ Free: You can find the carrots right next to the salsa. I’m a sucker for anything pickled so you know I grabbed a bunch. When I can get my hands on some, I always stick a couple slices in each bite of my tacos and burritos for an added crunch. La Perla’s carrots are pretty good, not overly vinegary. I think Tacos Negris is better than La Perla, but that won’t stop me from coming back. The only downer about Negris is that they close at 6pm during the week with limited hours on the weekends. La Perla is open until 9pm Mon-Sun, so that’s a plus. Another thing about La Perla are their prices — slightly higher than Negris. Don’t go off of the menu(photo) posted on La Perla’s Unilocal page — it’s outdated(posted almost 4 years ago).

Now known as Ofelia’s! I got confused and was looking for a truck that said«Tacos La Perla». Apparently, they change their name often. Another fellow customer after us said they used to be called Tacos Estrella. Came here yesterday to grab some dinner before the Warriors game. My boyfriend and I looove Mexican food, we basically get it five times a week. So I’m not kidding when I say a Mexican spot is good! I got their taco plate — two carne asada tacos with rice and beans. Their carne asada is delicious: a bit on the salty side, but I love salty foods, and topped with onions and cilantro. Don’t forget their hot sauce! The only downside is that their tacos are a tad small. My boyfriend got a regular chicken burrito and added sour cream. Their burritos are huge! He ate a little more than half and was full. Had a couple of bites, and it was pretty good. Would like to try it with their carne asada instead. If this place wasn’t so far from home, I would definitely come back. I’d make a pit stop before going to bart, if anything.
