Authentic mexican food, good service, good price, clean environment. This family owned place is excellent. I had the shrimp burrito which i highly recommend

Items ordered — Veggie Wet Burrito with green sauce and enchiladas. Burrito tasted plain with just rice and beans filling. Enchiladas lacked cheese. Only thing which I liked was their chips and salsa.

Reasonably priced food but oh boy your taste buds will be in for a show. Go to this restaurant and dive into a plump burrito, where each bite gets juicier than the last and you have to stop yourself from giggling in delight. Every ingredient is freshly prepared and compliments each other like a canvas in your mouth. They also give you fresh tortilla chips that go surprisingly well with the main dishes. By far the best Mexican food I’ve had for a long, long time. Smiling staff that are delighted to serve you authentic Mexican food is a plus. The care that went into making the restaurant authentic is impeccable. From the Spanish spoken in the kitchen to the hand painted homages to Mexican culture, I had to remind myself that I was still in America. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but the Wells Fargo next door is a great parking location. Without a doubt I would not only eat her again, but treat my friends and family here. This is truly one of the jewels of Fremont.

I absolutely love coming to this mom and pop taqueria! I’ve been coming here since my high school days back in ’07! My favorite thing to get here is their super nachos with al pastor! The only bad thing is that their al pastor is so good that they are always running out which is such a bummer, so I like to always make sure to call ahead and make sure that they have the al pastor before I put my order in! Other than the al pastor this place is amazing! They are always very kind and always acknowledge me, especially since I am a regular! I highly recommend trying their al pastor!!! It’s amazing

I really wanted to like this place because they’re always so nice and it is a clean place. However, I’ve eaten there three times and I just can’t anymore. I had a super burrito which contained guacamole, cheese, and sour crème, but I couldn’t see it or taste it. The rice looked and tasted old, it looked as if it was mush and one large solid piece instead of individual grains. The tortillas chips were delicious.

Wet Burrito was delicious and the portions were great for the price. Ordered Delivery from them and the food came super hot including the soup! Great Customer Service as they called to confirm delivery times. Skimped on nothing or the order, they even included a few extra cups of salsa and plenty of tortillas for my soup. 10⁄10 would order again!

I am so stoked we found a «go-to» Mexican place in Fremont! This is a total hole-in-the wall type Mexican restaurant, and it’s a little tricky to get here. The parking lot is in the back, so you have to circle to the back where it looks they’re all houses, to find the little parking lot in the back. Once you get here however, you will get some really good, authentic Mexican food. The super wet burrito and wet burrito are my go to. The only difference, is the super wet has avocado on the top. I’ve tried the carne asada and al pastor, and for me, the al pastor is the winner. It wasn’t super dry and was very flavorful. I like everything else inside the burrito and love, love the red sauce. I really should ask for extra sauce next time… SO good. $ 8 for a huge burrito– you can’t pass this up! Aside from their burritos being good, their house made chips and assortment of salsa is a nice bonus. Their chips are nice and thick and perfectly fried as well. One of my favorite chips at Mexican restaurants. Love it! Service was nice too. I think it was the owner that helped me and he was very kind. Do note that I have only ordered for take out so I can’t comment too much on the restaurant space itself, though it looks pretty big and clean from a quick scan. Check it out yourself– you be the judge.

Guy who helped us at the counter was really nice I’m pretty sure he was the owner. The food was fresh and delicious. I got the super tostada and the shell was probably my favorite part. My boyfriend got a burrito and menudo. We both really enjoyed our meal :) we live in San Jose but would definitely come back!

Very good food, equally good service, reasonably priced, and family owned and run. If you feel like Mexican food, you want to eat here. I randomly stopped in here after seeing the Unilocal reviews while I was trying to duck traffic. Glad I did. Reasonably priced, amazing food. I got a wet burrito with green sauce, and will be uploading a pic because it was as aesthetically pleasing as it was delicious. Not only was it delicious, but I appreciate the portions and proportions of everything. Some places use to much beans or rice, but this burrito was filled with meat(chicken breast I think, and a whole one at that). The service was good, and you could tell that they were proud of what they are putting in front of you. And they should be. The icing on the cake was that this was clearly a family owned and run operation. Not only do the good hard working values this implies give me a warm fuzzy feeling, but it also tells me as a customer that this place is run on principles. What I mean by that is that it’s not someone behind a counter who could care less and just wants their hourly wage and dishes you something that will sustain you until the next meal. There is so much more to it in family run establishment like this. You feel like they want to to walk away happy you went there.

Solid. Simple. Refer to old reviews. Only a few salsas to choose from but they’re tasty. They even have pickled jalapeño and carrots. Menu doesn’t change and neither do the specials. I’ve been here 10 times or more. not quite best taqueria ever feeling but 4* worthy. Burritos are not recommended here though. Read my other reviews. Order al pastor!

This review is 3.5 stars. Thanks to Unilocal reviews I grabbed dinner here with friends. It’s a «hole in the wall» but the menu is restaurant style. No frills but the food is good! Their chips are the best and tasted homemade. They have a salsa bar. The smoky salsa was my favorite! I ordered one of the specials with carne asada. I ate almost everything. It came with corn tortillas. I personally would have preferred flour. Not a reflection on the restaurant, just my preference. Service was attentive. Will be coming back again!

I have passed this restaurant several times over the last couple years. I already have my favorite Mexican spots in San Jose since Fremont doesnt have any good ones… So I thought, until I came in one day. A friend posted a couple of pictures on his Facebook on a couple different occasions and they all looked intriguing, I decided to try it and I was blown away by how good it was! They have a chips and salsa bar to keep you munching while you wait for your food. The food is fresh and delicious. You have to order at the counter but they bring the food to your table when its ready. This is a place to grab a quick bite for a great price. The only draw back is that the parking here sucks. The lot is in the back and there is a duplex back there and finding parking is a pain sometimes.

I love love love tacos! I decided to come here to grab lunch for a friend and me. The place was very clean when I walked in, quiet and the staff was quite nice. I ordered 3 al pastor tacos and 3 carne asada tacos with both cilantro and onions to-go. My total came out to $ 13.14 which wasn’t too bad considering other places charge nearly $ 3 for each taco. The lady working gave me containers for salsa, and as I went to the salsa bar I saw they had pickled carrots. I love pickles carrots and the ones here were really yummy. I waited for about 7 minutes for my food, as the lady came to walk them too me. So sweet! Very friendly service. The food was exceptionally good and flavorful, however, they didn’t put as much onions as I expected. Only downside was it was hard to find the parking lot area where to park which is in the back, but it was easy access into the restaurant. Overall, lovely experience.

A family run taqueria that would be easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. You can see the front off of Washington Blvd. but have to go around the corner to find parking in the back. I’ve only gotten the carne aside nachos(to go) here, but no complaints. You can either order over the phone and pick up or get delivery, but there is a delivery fee(I believe $ 6.99). I found the service super friendly here, as they were really apologetic when they accidentally gave my order away and made a new one immediately. Another plus is that the salsa bar is kept chilled and covered so you know it’s sanitary!

Had dinner here last night. Friendly lady at the counter. + good food. Had the seafood enchiladas special and fish tostadas. The fish was grilled perfectly– nice and crispy– which worked well with the tostada. + chips had no grease. Best tasting chips ever. Didn’t feel guilty asking for a refill. + great salsas — bad location. While it is clearly visible from Washington, parking is at the back(turn at the intersection of Fremont and Washington). There are no signs and we almost missed it. I am sure the place loses a lot of customers because of this. — as there were not many customers, they had the tv blaring at some children’s channel(some staff’s kids)

This place has a salsa bar with quite a few options.(None on which were particularly good) We had carry out but only live about 5 min away so we can’t blame the travel time for the low star rating. We had the carne azada chimichanga and the grilled chicken burrito. The chimichanga was kind of soggy(and not in a good way). The meat had a lot of fat which made it kinda chewy. Ewwww. The beans and rice were plain. The chicken burrito was not horrible. But also not great. I would like to say something good about this place so I plan on making another trip soon to see if their sea food options are good.

This is Fremont’s little gem for Mexican food. Great service. Fresh salsa. Sometimes they have a variety of different kinds, which I always love to try. Yummy thick chips(with generous refills) Their tostada de ceviche is my absolute favorite amongst all their other delicious options. It’s sweet, tangy, and full of flavor. They’re generous with their servings. You’ll leave happy every single time.

I love you Salsa Picante. I go here regularly when I shouldnt, meaning it’s a good place for taqueria style food. simply prepared alongside complimentary chips made in house and with three salsas to choose, I’m content. What I like to order: al pastor anything! They crisp it nicely, full of flavor and a little greasy but meat is not fatty. –quesadila: simple w just cheese and meat folded inside a tortilla. Served w pico, guac, and sour cream on the side. My fatty side usually only likes suiza style quesadila which are like burritos but this version is darn good. –nachos: nice portion. I wanted to eat it all by myself but couldnt and if u knew me, I can eat. I had maybe 8 chips leftover. They drizzle the sour cream which is nice. Beans, cheese, pico de gallo and meat are perfect ratio. I could always use more guac though. –super tostada: all same ingredients as nachos but w fried flour tortilla and lettuce. so it’s healthy right? What I thought was decent : –alambre: prob spelled that wrong but it’s bell peppers, onion, bacon, meat, and cheese w side of tortillas. Too much bell pepper and little pieces of diced meat. not worth it to me. Bacon was crisped well though! Tasty yes but they need put more meat. ~$ 9 –tacos: standard. Nothing special but not overly greasy like other places where the tortilla is soaked in oil. I get these when when I want to eat healthier here lol. –carnival are pretty good. –what husband liked and orders: bean and cheese burrito w green sauce. Or bean n cheese itself. He even likes al pastor. –pass on: chicken. was dry one time I had it in a taco. Def 4.5* worthy. Drool. I tried a handful of taquerias in the area and this place I keep coming back to.

Huge portions Huge fillings Generous refills of chips! I’ve been living here for the past 20 years of my life and yet I’ve never been to this restaurant! Thus, I decided to try it out especially since I have this guacamole craving! First of all, they have happy hour here and on Fridays only, you get margaritas for five bucks! Second, salsas are often spicy! Ask before you dip if you’re intolerant to spicy food like me! We got the guacamole, soft tacos and a burrito! The burrito was huge! Same as the guacamole! 9.99 gives you a ginormous portion of guacamole! But it was so good! I probably ate 1000 calories that night, but who cares when the food is excellent!!!

When you first walk into this place, it looks a little dingy and it doesn’t look any different than your typical Mexican restaurant. Until you taste the food. The carnitas were as they should be — crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, I mean unbelievably tender. The food is delicious. The beans, the rice, the varied meats, all of it was delicious. Why not 5 stars? I think all restaurants should pay special attention to cleanliness, and this one left a little something to be desired. I’m not saying it was disgusting, but it needed cleaning. However, the servers took good care of us and the customers were happy. Note: Parking is horrendous.

Came here today with a plus one We both got super burritos carne asada The burrito had no fatty pieces at all, which is great! Because a lot of taqueria’s I’ve been to, I’ve always had to pull out a giant piece of fat on a meat from it. This place, I didn’t! Score! The super burrito had very good spanish rice & the salsa bar had three different salsas which all taste very good. Service was great as well! I give this place 4 stars & will definitely be back.

Found this place on Unilocal and decided to check them out. The parking is behind the restaurant. GPS will send you to the front so take a right at the first intersection and another right to a dark parking lot. You can enter through their back entrance. Ordered the following: Veggie tacos — meh. Not that great. Not a lot of substance. Does not come with sour cream and were $ 2.75 each Nachos — these were ok. Not a lot of refried beans. The pico has a lot of lime flavoring. Pollo asado super quesadilla — this was pretty good. Great flavor in the chicken. They forgot to give me the side of rice I ordered. I probably won’t go back but it was worth a try. Friendly staff though and fairly clean.

4.5 stars rounded up They make an awesome wet chicken burrito! They cover it with their wet burrito sauce(not sure what it is specifically) and drizzle sour cream all over it. The burrito is made fresh and the sauce comes out piping hot as well. The warm sauce melts the cheese on the inside completely and bring out the cheesy flavor mixed into every chicken and rice filled bite. During my most recent visit, I was craving breakfast during afternoon hours so I tried to order the eggs and sausage dish as a breakfast burrito before I realized it wasn’t meant to be a burrito. The new? owner made it into a breakfast burrito for me anyway and it tasted amazing; even though it wasn’t an official item on the menu. Then he came around to refill our waters and see if I liked the burrito he made — that’s what I call good customer service! They also have a salsa bar with lots of variety!
