Totally love working with Helen. She is amazing gives me complete 360 service, get my hair, nails and skin care done from her. Really fast with waxing and also careful at the same time. Go to her !!!

I had a very unpleasant experience at Sleek salon yesterday. I had booked an appointment for hair styling and when I arrived, I explained them clearly what i wanted exactly. You can clearly see from the picture how terrible, rough and untidy my hair looks. On top of it, the staff was rude and blamed me that my hair is straight and cannot take curls. This is ridiculous because I have curled my hair previously n it turned out looking fab each time. In fact i made sure my hair is properly shampooed n conditioned before I arrived, and i did not even apply any chemical that would make a basic curling appearance look so horrible. Also they applied too much of hair spray which made my hair look very stiff and rough. Overall i was extremely upset by the way it turned out.
I rarely write bad reviews on Unilocal but this one is important because I dont want other customers to have an unpleasant sad experience like me. Please think twice before coming here for hair styling.

Don’t come here for your nails or eyebrow wax. Nails– I could have done a manicure at home better myself. She didn’t even remove all of my dark colored polish that was on prior. She filed my nails poorly and even cut my skin. The nail polish was clumpy and a part of my nail was flaking off mid painting and she tried paint it down!!! I made her take it off because that would only lead to a chipped nail. Too bad they chipped anyway within 6 hours. As I was drying my nails I noticed they were super sloppy, as in nail polish on my skin. Every where. I had to ask her to clean it up.
Eyebrows– I told her to not wax them too thin. I like my eyebrows thicker and to only get rid of the stragglers… My eyebrows are so thin now!!! Thanks. A. Freakin. Lot.
Pissed. I’ll never return and advise you to stay away.

I was hesitant to get my makeup done here for graduation, but i’m glad I didn’t cancel my appointment because Kelly did an amazing job! Kelly took her time and she was very friendly. Definitely coming back here to get my makeup done again!

My BF & I went in for Pedicures, and I Was not Overly Impressed. This lady did my pedicure in about 15 mins. Not worth 20 $ to me, I dont believe she did 2 coats of color, did not massage at all and I dont think she even completed the whole toe nail cleaning. Nancy however I think did do a great job for my BF so I did tip her. I wont be going back for any nail services.

This review is for Helen. I not only enjoyed her sweet company, but am in love with her coloring skills. She made me feel very comfortable and knew exactly what she was doing. I don’t usually care too much about my hair, but dang I am IN LOVE with my new balayage hair!!! Thanks so much, Helen!

Whenever you go, ask for Helen she is the one that always takes care of me. Very sweet and patient lady that knows what she does. She did magenta ombré hair for me yesterday with some highlights and it looks amazing.
Helen does a great job with hair, nails, waxing. I use her for everything and she is the best.

This place is filled with skilled workers that know what they were doing. I came in to get my hair fixed because a barber from another shop messed up my hair and the lady that cut my hair did a fantastic job. She was very considerate and asked me if I was satisfied with my hair unlike the other lady from the other shop who finished cutting my hair and wanted me to quickly pay for a haircut that I wasn’t happy with. The other workers here were very friendly and welcoming too when I first stepped into the store.
Overall, my experience at this shop was great. The people were easy to talk to and I got a haircut I was happy with. I highly recommend checking out this place.

I have not let someone lay hands on my hair for the last 10 years due to a Beyond terrible experience so it was with some trepidation that I booked an appointment with Kelly at Sleek.
Apparently I need not have feared, what Kelly did to my hair was amazing! As a mixed girl, my hair is super hard to deal with and can’t be cut when wet. I didn’t even have to tell Kelly that, because she immediately started blow drying my hair and explained that that was exactly what she was going to do before I could even say anything!
If you have long hair you do not need to be afraid that it will be chopped off. I asked for a trim and that is exactly what I got. Kelly did check with me on the length of the trim before cutting as well.
My hair is exactly what I asked for, and Kelly is very nice as well. 5 stars for my new go-​to salon!

I got my hair butchered by someone else at another shop and came in the next day praying to God that my hair could be salvaged! It was horrible to begin with: choppy layers, 2 inches from one layer to the next, 3 different colors going from my roots being 1 to the middle being another to the ends being the same as the roots and the bottom being another different color all together! It was a mess!!! I had donated 9 inches to the other lady and you can imagine how traumatized I felt having to go in a second time to fix what should have never been ruined…
Anyway, after 3.5 hours with Kelly, she worked her MAGIC and gave me the BEST HAIR MAKE OVER IN MY LIFE!!!
She gave me back my confidence and beauty! For that I thank her!
As I was leaving, I made sure to make my next appointment!!!

Kelly and Helen always take care of me!!! I’ve had my haircut and colored by both Kelly and (once) by Helen since Kelly was out for a couple years now. Also, have been getting my manicures and pedicures done here too. Love how my hair style cut lasts while growing it out and love that my regular (not even shellac) pedicure lasts for weeks!!! They are always so patient and take their time. Such a great price for the amazing quality and service you get here. Best to make an appointment if you expect to be seen at a certain time or else walk-​ins are well… First come first serve. Thanks Sleek Salon for making a girl feel special every time!!! I definitely would and have recommended them.

Helen consistently does a great job with my hair, whatever I need (haircut, color) and I always leave happy. I have been coming here for years both to do my hair and get my nails done and I am confident that I’ll be coming here for a very long time. Thank you!

This place was quite hard to find. The Unilocal address does not even match this location. I roam around this area a good amount of time until I found this salon. This location is across from Raley’s and next to USbank.
I came here Sunday afternoon, walked in without any appointment and asked if they would color my hair and stuff. At the time, I had a copper tone color ombré which I didn’t like. I wanted a ashtone color, they told me it would be really hard to get since my hair is so dark. They agreed to do my hair, and said they would try to achieve the color I wanted. The process of them bleaching/​dying my hair took over 4 hours. I forgot the person who did my hair, but she kept getting bleach on my face and it burned a lot. She tried wiping the bleach off my face but the towel had bleach too which made it worst. Ahhh! That was the only downside during my time here. Afterward, she put dye in my hair, waited 15 minutes and washed it off. The results came out great, just the way I wanted. It was number 7 ashtone color.
Initially, I wanted a ashtone ombré not my whole head dyed. I guess the lady messed up, but I didn’t mind. It has been 1 – 2 weeks and my hair is no longer ash color, more like light brown. I wished they gave me some tips on how to maintain my hair, I had to look online myself. Overall, my experience was okay, I had better. I sat there for 4 hours, and they didn’t even ask me if I wanted water or anything… I guess they don’t offer that. Kinda upset.

I recently got married and moved to Fremont. After keeping it simple and growing my hair out for so long leading up to the wedding, I wanted a fun trim, bangs, and some color. But, my trusted hairdresser of 5+ years was too far a drive and on maternity leave anyways. So, I researched and decided to give Sleek Salon a try after reading other Unilocal reviews.
It turned out to be a great decision! I specifically made an appointment with Kelly after reading all the reviews raving about her, and it was well worth it. Kelly is amazing; personable and talented. She made sure to ask and listen to what I wanted with my hair, paying careful attention to the pictures I showed. I am absolutely thrilled with the end result! Color, cut, everything!
Another great part of the salon, in general: the prices are very reasonable. Not the cheapest salon in the area, but definitely not the priciest. Like many others have said before, you get what you pay for. Kelly definitely goes above and beyond so that you get what you pay for, and more, when it comes to quality. I feel bad cheating on my usual but I’ll definitely be coming back here!

I got my hair done with Sophia, she was really sweet, and I just needed a haircut ASAP.
I had cut my bangs myself a few months ago, and absolutely ruined them. (RIP) lol So I let them grow out for a few months, and although they were still short, there was something we could do to make them blend more easily. I told Sophia I wanted to take care of my bangs, a trim, and long layers. At first I was worried because I normally go to a salon in Morgan hill to get my hair done because I have been going there for years, and trust my hair stylist, but this was urgent, plus I had a party I was going too. Originally, I was just gonna come in to get my bangs fixed, but the minimum was $ 10 to use your debit/​credit card and I think the bangs were only gonna be $ 7. I needed a cut anyways so I just got the whole thing. The hair stylist up front told me $ 20 and when I rang up at the end with Sophia she said $ 22 and I ended up paying $ 25 in total with the tip. That’s the only part I hate about salons is they just make up random prices, and Sophia had asked if I wanted to wash my hair, and since I’m on a budget I declined thinking that the wash was going to be extra, so (4 stars) because the prices are not very consistent, and as a customer you should know exactly what price, and what is included before yong u get the service done, I don’t want to get rang up at the end with a bunch of additional charges when I was unaware. Anyways, overall Sophia did a good job, at first it looked a little choppy with the layers, but she thinned it out, and blended it together, and my hair felt sooooo much healthier without much getting trimmed off the bottom. She also was able to thin out my bangs in a way to make it look not so horrible from the horrible bang trim I did myself. (NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN).
5 for the hair cut.
3 for the lack of pricing communication.

Had a brand new short and modern hair cut by Kelly today. Family and friends all love love my new style. It is shorter in the back and tapers close to my neck and longer and sleeker in front. Makes me look 20 years younger according to my sister! Kelly did an awesome job. I really like that Kelly is very meticulous and takes so much time to carefully craft your hair– she is a professional and a perfectionist. What she did would hve cost me 3x more in New York — I know, I used to live there. To summarize, support your local, woman owned small business and give Sleek salon, a family friendly business a try.
