One of my favorite places to shop in Downtown Fredericksburg. I stop by every time I’m downtown to check out what new furniture they have. I purchased a beautiful buffet for my dining room from here and the owner was super nice in replying to my email about what color paint she used so I could paint another piece of furniture to match! There are only a couple shabby chic shops in Downtown and this is the best! The prices are very reasonable compared to the other stores downtown.

Nestled upstairs in The Fredericksburg Antique Mall (On William St, right off Caroline St.) The Cottage Room is a unique and refreshing surprise.
The store predominately features crisp white furniture, with delicate and feminine details. It stands out from what you usually see in Fredericksburg – more chunky, brown furniture. It’s the kind of stuff you’d expect to see at a chic flea market in CA.
Both the furniture and accessories here are a steal! The prices are very affordable, especially considering the quality of the pieces you get. Another unique thing about this store are the handmade mosaics – they are fascinating! It’s not often that you encounter mosaics like this, and it is the only place around that I know to go to get this style of furniture and this kind of mosaics.
If you’re in Old Town, I would suggest turning off of Caroline Street and visiting this upstairs shop in the Fredericksburg Antique Mall – you’re sure to find something interesting.
