Amazing store. I find beautiful, unique shoes and clothes at reasonable prices every time I go, which is almost once a week.

As a loyal customer of Forage for years, I am a little sad to have to write this review. However, I am a huge fan of good customer service and am severely disappointed in their consignment system. After waiting the recommended 4 weeks for my clothes to sell, I requested the check to be sent to my new address in Texas. They sent the check ten days later and I never received it. Since that address was temporary I no longer had the ability to check the mail, but was told after multiple inquiries to keep looking for it. I was then told that to have a check sent to my new address they would have to take out a huge chunk of the money to pay for a stop payment on the first check. By this point I realized that they were not interested in helping me solve the problem(that was partially due to them sending the check a whole ten days after I requested it) so I gave up and have finally received a check for $ 24. At last count my clothes had sold for at least $ 120… half of which was supposed to go to me as part of their consignment agreement. The whole process was a huge disappointment and basically ruined my opinion of this otherwise lovely store.

What a beautiful shop! This is like walking into an Anthropologie store mixed with a vintage store, with a dollop of Etsy. Very cool vibe, relaxed, quirky, and retro. The employee didn’t follow me around asking if I need help, which I appreciated. She just let me look around at my own pace, and try things things on, and I ended up finding a beautiful sequined sweater that I liked. The clothes are well curated – they’re in good shape, in a range of brands from designer to Gap, and a range of affordable prices. There are a plethora of cute patterned retro dresses. I feel like I could spend all day trying things on. Forage is well worth a visit.

Forage has is clean, the space is adorably decorated and its always well organized. The selection is varied and its easy to tell which pieces are consignment versus vintage, because the vintage pieces are very eclectic. The prices however tend to the higher side for consignment and vintage in Fredericksburg, but the clearance rack in the back offers some deals. They do have amazing jewelry, some at really great prices and some priced a little higher. I would love to see a larger variety in the styles of the vintage clothing here, but they’re certainly catering to a specific clientele. Its definitely worth stopping in and checking out, but don’t expect to get a great deal if you do happen upon and amazing find.

This is a really nice store to have in Fredericksburg. It’s located on Williams street, convieniently close to Hyperion, the best coffee spot in town! The selection tends towards an artsy, eclectic aesthetic. If you like shopping at Anthropologie, you will probably like the types of items they sell here. The vibe reminds me of some of my favorite spots back in Brooklyn, where I moved from. They have a nice selection of vintage and consignment items. I got a great vintage maxi skirt in there a while back, and usually find something cool and eye catching every time I go in(even if I don’t buy it). They’ve got well curated vintage, upper-mid range consignment(Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, J. Crew are some of the familiar names I’ve seen in there), as well as the occasional real high end consignment item(last time I was in, I saw a couple Chanel bags). I’ve had friends of various shapes and sizes find things that would work for them. The items overall are appropriately priced for what they are. This isn’t good will– you’re not going to fill a shopping bag for $ 5, but if you want a curated selection of things you would actually want, you shouldn’t be expecting to! The vintage skirt I bought was around $ 15, the Chanel bags were selling for hundreds. There is a range, but most of the items are very affordable. I’d love to see them expand the selection of new items handmade by Fredericksburg craftspeople. Maybe that’s something you’ll see more of here in the future. I have some items saved up to try and consign, and I’m planning to try this place out! so I’ll update this review in the future with how they are to work with from that end!

Forage Consignment and Vintage is right where Beaucoup Vintage used to be and still carries a lot of the same style of clothes and accessories. I just bought the most fantastic dress there yesterday — it fit me perfectly and was in 100% perfect condition. It was originally sold at Anne Taylor Loft so this was definitely a consignment item rather than a vintage piece. I also love their eclectic jewelry offerings. I bought some handmade fabric flower hair clips there last year when it was still Beaucoup Vintage and the lady behind the counter yesterday said they might get more in soon. I definitely plan on checking back next time I’m in Fredericksburg!
