This restaurant was very conveniently located to the I-95. Wife wanted the salad bar. We were promptly seated and ordered our drinks and meals. We ordered the Smokehouse Burger, Bourbon Salmon, Parmesan Shrimp Pasta, and the Salad bar. The burger was great and really hit the spot. The pasta was a little small, but was still good. Bourbon Salmon tasted fine, but over priced. Mashed potatoes were instant. Yes, the wife liked her salad bar. Our waitress was really good. She was very nice and always had a smile. Overall a decent experience.

Everything about this meal is a ball of clustercrap right now… This is the second time I’m at a ruby Tuesday… and I will say this location sucks … not a fan of ruby Tuesday anymore… The staff were pleasant. and when i asked to switch the combos she informed me that i can switch my order but only within that list… drinks were served promptly but the big disappointment was the food… The fried spring rolls and chicken wings was mediocre and probably from the freezer… the sauce on the steak was very bland and somewhat watery and the mashed potato’s most likely from a can… very disappointing!

Not happy, they’ve gotten rid of everything good on their menu, and now have regular mashed potatoes instead of the cheddar ones. Prices on what they do have have gone up stupidly high. Waitress never cleared our plates, this is after our food was taken to the wrong table. No cheddar biscuits until we had to ask, then didn’t get them out to us until after our food. Everything was sat in front of our 1 yr old son, drinks, our food, silverware, everything. Also when the check came out it was wrong,(entirely different meal than ours) after an argument it was fixed(finally after sitting and waiting for over 15mins) talked to the manager, she was very apologetic but didn’t fix or offer anything. We won’t be back to this one.

You never know what to expect from this chain as they have tried to reposition themselves so often in the industry you should never be surprised. They were the first to upgrade their wine list over a decade ago — placing them at that time — based on wine alone — as peers to even some of the white tablecloth restaurants. Then there was the period where they apparently wanted to change their image to a steak restaurant and also makeup of their after work and late night crowds by pulling ALL American session beers off the draft system and replacing them with the likes of Anchor Steam and Heineken and moving the TV’s to virtually unwatchable locations. A complete disaster. Then of course the remodeling from a few years ago with that classic hilarious TV advertisement… You remember, the phone rings and the guy says: «Hey, the Seventies just called and they want their lampshades back…» Self lampooning and just plain awesome! But that was then and this is now. To their credit they never gave up on their signature salad bar — short of rebranding it the«garden bar». Standing virtually alone in that category they still do it right with loads of fresh ingredients and dressings — all constantly and meticulously replenished. Again to their credit the menu is constantly changing — rotating non-selling items off and adding in new specialties. So back to Central Park… I’ve found the food here to be delightful. Steaks(though leaning heavily towards sirloin) are flavorful and nicely prepared. Appetizers are way above average for their genre. Mini’s are always a good bet, though the burgers can sometimes come out a little greasy. Seafood has been good as well. Service has been solid and personable. They do a TON of carryout business — which should be self-explanatory. Bellying Up: The wine list is constantly shrinking — but that is to be expected(consider the failed steakhouse experiment above), but still retaining some delightful and affordable choices. You may get a wrong first impression from the bartenders as I did, but stick with it — they are efficient, fast and friendly once you get to know them. Happy hour specials and drink specials have something for every taste. The beer is fixed(again, see above) and are the TV’s. The renovations didn’t help the bar though. There are too many tables that can make it cramped for everyone when diners are occupying them and conversely would leave a huge empty space if pulled. So how’s business? The bar is generally pretty empty but considering that Fredericksburg has just about the highest per capita amount of bar stools of ANY city its size in America — that could be expected. They don’t bill themselves as a sports bar or late night hangout. The restaurant will get busy at peak times but nothing like some of its chain-neighbors across the street or down the road even at a little less of a price point. Summary: It is one of my favorite places. The noise level is very manageable, service only stressed during those peak times and bright and lively atmosphere that is both friendly and extraordinarily clean.

These folks do not honor their online menu’s price when ordering TueGo. When I asked the manager about this, she didn’t know why there was a difference and wasn’t at all concerned about the discrepancy and did not offer to reimburse the difference. Needless to say, I’ll never eat here again. I’ve also reported them to the BBB. I would not recommend anyone who values their hard earned dollars to take the risk of being overcharged by eating here of all places.

My review of this Ruby Tuesday chain isn’t really about the food, but more so about the outstanding customer service my party of 11 received. My family and I were on our way back from a family trip in NC and decided we needed food, a place that doesn’t have a drive thru window kind of food. We stopped at RT and only had to wait a second for the staff to set up tables to accommodate our large party. We had the privilege of being served by one of the best servers I’ve encountered in a long time. Zack, literally bent over backwards to accommodate all of our needs. He was Johnny on the Spot with refills, extra napkins, wet napkins for those who ate ribs and any other items we needed. He knew what we were going to need before we could even ask for it. He addressed everyone with sir or ma’am and he was very patient with all of us. Sure the food was good as it normally is at Ruby Tuesday’s but Zack’s Southern Hospitality won all of us over. He’s an excellent example of excellent customer service and after driving 3 ½ hours while fighting traffic, his welcoming smile and outstanding manners were very comforting.

This is my go-to chain restaurant for a number of reasons, the main one being the salad bar. Having that option is so great for people(like my husband and I) with low carb diets(Ideal Protein, Atkins, Paleo, etc). We fill up on the salad(which has a great selection of veggies, and the best deal for a salad compared to every other American restaurant), then get either a steak or salmon as our entrée. It’s never busy, the staff is always friendly, and when you want to cheat a little, their sangrias are wonderful.

I haven’t been to a Ruby Tuesday(RT) is YEARS, but I kept seeing the commercials on TV saying that they have changed things up, and have really revamped their menu. I looked it up online, and saw that they had several(vegetarian) things for us to choose from, so we found our nearest RT and went for brunch. I got the Bella Chicken Crepes, and left out the chicken: Crepes stuffed with chicken, portabella mushrooms, Swiss cheese, artichokes, and a creamy spinach sauce. This comes with garlic-cheese biscuits(SO good), fresh fruit and either a berry yogurt parfait or the salad bar for $ 1 extra. I got the parfait. It was also really good. My husband got the omelet version of my crepes, and he chose the salad bar instead(his came with potatoes instead of fruit). He said it was all really good, but he wished he hadn’t got the salad bar, because it was just too much food. We ran out of biscuits, and our server promptly brought us more. We got our 5 year old son something off the kid’s menu: scrambled eggs, potatoes, and fruit. He was so full on biscuits and parfait, he barely touched his. Next time we will just feed him off our plates. I was very impressed with RT, at least for brunch. I will let you know about dinner!
