Besides the optometrist, this has got to be the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. I arrived for my appointment and proceeded to check in with this very grumpy woman who could not smile, say«HI», or «can I help you?». I offered her my insurance information(the very same information that my husband had used here a week ago) and she says we don’t take this, so I offer her my other card thinking I may have given her the wrong one and she disgustingly says«we don’t take this insurance». Okay, here is my credit card. The optician was wonderful! Then came time to look at and pick out glasses(and no the 69.00 offer does NOT include most prescriptions). As I am standing there trying on frames alone… no liking the ones I am trying on Felicia comes over and I say«I look hideous»(with a smile). She says«well isn’t that rude!» I look at her like HUH? She says«you come up in my house telling me everything looks hideous, that’s rude!» So of course I see she has a lack of hearing and I explain to her what I had actually said. I did my best to shrug it off because I was there for glasses and wanted glasses. I finally on my own picked out a pair and had to sit while she ordered them… I was laughed at for my eyesight loud enough that other customers heard(HIPPA!!) and then she laughed at me again in front of the optician because of my eyesight. For an hour and a half I got to hear about Felicias days at McDonalds, ChicFilet, and now at this place that she hates working for… but her real dream is to make baskets and sell them… you know because she is such a great salesperson! When she wasn’t talking about herself, she was talking about my medical condition and continuing to point out loudly that I had an issue. I paid the 583.00 bill and left. But as most women do, I dwelled on this womans’ behavior all night. I called the store first thing in the morning to cancel my order. The manager and district manager had a conference call with me and they were appalled by her behavior and offered me the glasses for free. I said«you know, I didn’t call you to get the glasses for free I called you to cancel the glasses and let you know that your employee Felicia is a rude person breaking HIPPA laws that your store should be abiding by». They assured me that Felicia would not be there when I picked up my glasses and to please take them up on their offer. I agreed. Two weeks go by and I heard nothing about my glasses coming in(I was told 1 week, and they would call me) so I call the store. The store says that I called in and cancelled the order and I was refunded, WHAT! Then another person gets on the phone and says«the glasses are here and I was going to call you when Felicia is not here to come pick them up». Okay when will that be? He says Monday. It is truly disturbing to me that this store continues to have this woman work for them. This was more than someone having a bad day, an off day, a I hate my life kinda day. She was rude, unprofessional, degrading, and broke laws that protect us patients. I will never be back to this store or refer anyone to this store.

I have been here twice to get glasses over the past couple of months. I like to have different glasses for different outfits. Great customer service. I have come in a couple of times for adjustments and they take the time to make sure they are right.

After a less than ideal visit at America’s Best, I was contacted by management and asked to visit the store and speak with the manager, Sherri. Sherri was very sweet and apologetic about what happened during my last visit and offered a way to make things right. She was very helpful and helped change my opinion of this location, along with Felicia. My situation may have been an isolated incident but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth but I am glad they value their customers feelings and rectified the situation.

First review? I’ve been there once but i don’t have insurance and you can’t beat the prices! Everyone was super nice, the exam was speedy and efficient. The contacts they picked for me were great, and I have a follow up appointment soon.

Great company and great service. Dr Sadia Karim provided the eye exam at the Fredericksburg store. She was fantastic: knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. As a first time customer with the company, from the new client entry, to the technician screening, through the eye exam, and the final payment and receipt of prescription, the service was rendered promptly, professionally, and with care. I am very glad I discovered them!
