I’ll preface my review with the fact that I’ve been here for brunch a few times and the food hasn’t been bad. Unfortunately my recent visit was the last straw and I will not be coming again. I already expected the service to be slow, but after an HOUR of waiting for my food I had to walk out. The place wasn’t even busy so I have no idea what was taking so long. And I only ordered the eggs benedict, a simple dish I expect takes 10 minutes max. And to make things even worse, I tried to pay for the 1 iced tea I drank and the hostess/cashier had to walk around aimlessly for 10 minutes trying to find the meal ticket/talk to a manager/finish daydreaming. This place needs Gordon Ramsey to come fix up its kitchen nightmare and walking dead employees. The hostess wasn’t even capable of allowing me to pay for a drink slowly slurped over the hour I spent waiting for food that never showed up. So, come at your own risk with your whole day to spare because even if the restaurant is empty, your stomach will probably eat itself before you get any food.

Very disappointed. My co-workers & I went for lunch but we waited for close to 75 minutes and the food still did not show up. We finally had to leave. The staff were friendly but the restaurant was clearly under-staffed. Will not be going again.

Hello All… So a friend and I went there while back without a reservation and it was close to closing time, early since it was a holiday. We had been there before but were unaware of a need for reservations. The same as before, they fit us right in within a couple of minutes. Since it was a holiday and closing early, they had a limited menu which was a disappointment. We had decided what we wanted for dinner before we arrived(we both have our favorites). With that said, we made our choices from the selections still available. They were out of certain items which was slightly annoying but understandable. When our server took our order and we made small talk with her, we learned that it was her very first day. Pending DOOM, right? With so many 12-tops, 8-tops and group of about 20 walked in 10 to the hour. There were a few minor mistakes or things forgotten, however, she was quite a trooper for her first time, handled things well, friendly. Loved it! I wrote a note to her on our tab when we left to thank her and to «keep it up». As I walked out, I asked the gentleman at the door if he was the manager as my friend kept walking. I pulled him aside and just told him that«Maria was our server tonight. We know she is new and this is her first day. We wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t told us. She was wonderful. There is a note on our tab, please make sure you tell her and she reads it. Thank her again for us.» He thanked me, waved to my friend with a smile. Then he said«wow…» I thought something was wrong when you asked if I was the manager. I said«yes, I know… I have heard that WAY too many times… With let me tell you something…» We should thank those who do well more than we complain… I hope to do that well. PEACE!

The service was really bad: we had to call on our waiter multiple times before she actually took our order, there were people who came in after us who were able to order before us, and we were also brought the wrong drinks. The food was mediocre, I ordered the salmon and it was just too dry. My mom ordered the roasted half chicken, the portion is enormous and the skin is really crispy. I might have just ordered the wrong thing; however, I don’t think I’ll be coming back soon because of the slow service.

Horrible customer service!!! Extremely dissatisfied. We were starving and our waitress never brought the bread basket out until our food came. Then, when our orders came, our plates were missing items. On top of that, I found A HAIR lurking in my salad!!! Our waitress never checked up on us nor did she refill our drinks. Needless to say, Mimi’s will never see us again or any other potential customers.

This place was the worst. We could not get any of the food we wanted because they were all out. No devil eggs, no strawberry crepes, no ice tea and no chocolate milk for our son and the coffee was 3.50. Our waiter forgot what we ordered and came back empty handed. All in all I give this place star. .#*$&@^]{ Roberts son

Went there today for some American breakfast, got seated right away since it was pretty slow at 9am, my waiter was nice and took my order right and came by my table 3 times ask if I needed anything. So the service was a 5 stars, however the food taste kind of blend, had a sausage with red pepper omelet and I have to ass salts and sauce to it to make it tasty. So the food is not so great, cost me $ 16 with an iced tea, leave a $ 20 cash and most likely I won’t return.

We have breakfast here almost every weekend and the food is pretty consistent and hits the spot every time. I would recommend the Triple Berry Mimosa if you’re into it, it’s stands out above the rest for sure! The potatoes that come with the breakfast are delicious, much better than hash browns you’d get at any other breakfast place. The service is hit and miss — the people who are in charge of seating you is usually a miss; There’s one girl who has a constant scowl on her face but the food and coffee is good so we keep coming!

This is one of those places that deserves ZERO stars. The wife and I stopped by for lunch and the place wasn’t all that busy. The hostess seats us and we order a sandwich and a burger. Had I not been distracted by playing Walking Dead on my phone I would have noticed that we had been sitting there for 30 minutes so I spent the next 10 minutes looking around and thinking about whether to walk out or not. I look around and the place isn’t busy, mostly people had already eaten their food and were talking about random stuff so it’s not like the kitchen was getting slammed. The food was TERRIBLE. I had fries that were hot and stone cold and my burger was overcooked. If the waitress is going to ask how you would like your burger cooked I would expect the cook to be good enough to know how to cook it «medium» and not charred. As in other reviews, the service here is the worst. Waitress never came back and asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and we had to get our check from some other random worker. Seriously if people want to push this«tip your server» agenda, they kind of have to put a little more effort into it and not completely check out thinking your service job is done after you bring the food out. Just to add a little more to WTF, a group was seated behind us, ordered and their food came out within 15 minutes. Supposedly you get bread too… which our waitress didn’t bring out at all but the table behind us did. Sad to say I’ve gotten better service and better food at McDonalds, at least their food is hot. NEVER coming back to this place again.

Reservations and good customer service apparently mean nothing at this location. I was at this restaurant with a large party last night and the back room had been reserved for months for this wedding anniversary gathering. They had inexplicably given the room away to another large party, in spite of our reservation. The manager on duty last night did nothing to help rectify the situation other than stating he was«sorry.» With 25 people standing in the lobby of the restaurant and a rude and unapologetic manager, we decided to take our business elsewhere. I used to love coming here and now, after this, will never do so again and will be sure to spread the word.

We came in for an early dinner. We were seated right away and our server was attentive. I had the quiche Lorraine which came with a side salad and a muffin of your choice. I got the seasonal pumpkin muffin. It came out hot and was very yummy. Salad and quiche had the right portion. This meal will make you full. Minus one star for the bread basket. For years you’d get bread sticks and Mimi’s famous carrot walnut bread. They always come in slices. As the years went in, the slices kept getting smaller and smaller. However today, the carrot bread came out like little lumps. When I picked it up it looks like they poured their batter onto Madeleine tins. Hello Madeleines are cookies, this is suppose to be a bread. Naturally the bread doesn’t taste as good as it used to. I mean they look like little lumps! Is this a corporate decision? If so, they should stop doing that.

Came here for 2015 Thanksgiving meal. The service was excellent and atmosphere charming. The turkey dinner however was awful. The potatoes and stuffing tasted like balls of salt and the turkey definitely had a processed feel to it. It is interesting to note that my family has come here at least 5 times for Thanksgiving over the years. This year the restaurant had about 50% less people than previous years and I can see why… PS. They ONLY serve a Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving now where as in previous years they also offered items from their regular menu on this holiday…

Great turkey dinner for $ 12.99. Turkey is moist and the whipped mashed potatoes and stuffing are great. Cranberry sauce was great as well.

I ordered a poppyseed pancake with corned beef hash and eggs. The server was friendly and attentive, the place was very welcoming and comfortable. They even have free wifi so friends and us hung out for a while ;) The menu has a wide variety of choices, omelettes, pancakes, eggs & sausages, sandwiches… Etc. Since it was in a shopping strip, parking was very easy. Would definitely return!

September 15, 2015 The Good: You can’t screw up Eggs Over Easy Most of the time. New Recipe on the Potatoes! The BAD: Price of High Profit Beverages Well, I’m happy to say that the Eggs were good, and the best thing was the potatoes served with our Breakfast… NOT the Chopped Red Potatoes I don’t care for, nor the hash browns I prefer, BUT, a New Type of Golden Brown Russet Potato Sections that tasted excellent… hats off to the management at Mimis. So, WHY the THREE Stars… well Mimi’s Management, it’s because of your Beverage Prices. Mimi’s On Line Coupons have a VERY Fine Print… when you partake in their Two for One Promo, in the fine print… you MUST purchase two Beverages. Reasonable UNTIL you realize their Beverages are over the Top in Pricing… $ 2.99PLUS… That’s about $ 6.00 plus Tax or most of the second meal. So, I told Jen, don’t worry about the Promotion because of the expensive two drink minimum… no, water doesn’t count. So prior to ordering, I’m looking at their NEW Menu. I get to the Beverages and most priced way over $ 3.00. Finally, I locate the Coffee at the VERY Bottom… guess what… NO Menu Price!!! Being a Coffee Drinker(Love McDonalds Premium Large Coffee for $ 1.00), I bring this to the attention of our Asian Waitress and ask her how come Coffee doesn’t have a Listed Price? She Smiled as if I CAUGHT her hand in the cookie jar and stated, ‘Coffee is $ 2.99 for a Cup’ but she couldn’t tell me why management didn’t put that on the menu. Well, I responded«That’s way too much, no thank you.» Being associated with several in the food industry… Coffee and Beverages like Soft Drinks are their HIGHEST Profit Margin… often times just pennies of cost per cup. So Why Mimi’s is charging so much is beyond me… I’m noticing more and more people drinking just plain water to keep the escalating tabs down. Offer Coffee at under $ 2.00 a Cup and there would be a ton more customers indulging. Just to make a point… we ate at Nordstroms at Hillsdale today. Wonderful Coffee was just $ 1.79 per Cup with free refills… COMEONMIMI’s Management, REDUCE your price on Coffee,. to $ 1.50. 1 Star because of over priced COFFEE 4 Stars on the New Potatoes for your Breakfast Dishes 5 Stars for the Speedy/Efficient Service 4 Stars for the Quality of the Breakfaster 1 Star for the Cold Toast August 9, 2014 OK, my wife back from taking care of the new ‘Princess’(second grand child), we told her about Mimis. Upon our arrival, quickly seated by Jose, an excellent waiter and Bread and Raisin Bread immediately brought to the table. This time I had the French Dip with the Extra Cheese and Onions. Junior opted for a Filet of Sole and da Wife had a Chicked and Salad. Service was great but in regards to the Food… Although Junior liked his fish, he put a bite on my plate and I found the Filet a bit Mushy and the Sauce had an odd flavor… thumbs down for me and da Wife. My French Dip was excellent with a nice bread roll. I opted for a cup of Onion Soup instead of French Fries and found the Soup, not as good as I remembered it and a bit too thick with a questionable after taste. Da Wife’s remark about her Salad was the Flavor was just ok and the Lettuce lacked that Crisp Fresh Crunch. Jose’s Service was only second to Michele who is still working there… works the Morning Shift. Jose invited us for BreakFast… I told Jose, I prefer HASHBROWNS versus Sections of Potatoes and Jose AGREEDWITHME100%. Mimi’s… give the customers what they ask for… in this case HASHBROWNS are not an unreasonable request since I’ve been asking them to offer this long before my first Unilocal. All In All, Mimi’s is improving in their Food and Service has Definitely Improved since Jon-Son’s Exit so we will be back. I love BJs but the cost of Dinner is skyrocketing and their Alcoholic Beverages lately has been watered down and averaging close to $ 10.00 a Drink. August 7, 2014 Junior and I returned for an evening Visit with another coupon. I had the Chicken Pot Pie and he had the Filet. Although the Chicken Pot Pie was tastey, I found that the Sauce was a bit on the THIN side. The Crust though was Delicious. The BEST however is at the Corner Café at Metro Center which has an Open Style but EXCELLENT. When the Bill came, we did save an entrée but I can’t get over the costs of beverages: $ 2.99 for a Diet Coke and Coffee. Come On Mimi’s your entitled to a Profit and making money, but a Cup of Either costs the Restaurant Pennies… its getting like a night out at the Century 12 in San Mateo. We still Miss our #1 Waitress: Michele although our Male Waiter, although very young was quite attentive. I didn’t catch his name although

We will definitely not be coming back here again. We waited for 45 minutes to get our breakfast. –The crepes were chewy — The bananas looked horrible — Most our food was barely lukewarm — The waitress told us the corn beef hash was homemade and had onions but when it came out it was obviously canned and did not have onions. — The waitress never came back to check on us. Some other random waiter took over after our food was delivered without an explanation or anything.

This restaurant is in prime area. It’s located in a plaza across from a target and other shops that attract a lot of people. This usually means that restaurants in this plaza get a ton of traffic and I can vouch that there’s almost always a wait time for restaurants here. But never Mimi’s. Pros: The bread basket they give before each meal is great. It comes out hot and soft most of the times I’ve been. Potatoes and fries are spot on, too! Cons: The service here can be really spotty. Last time I came, our waiter was covering five tables and the other waiters were just talking in the corner. Given that this was later at night, but poor guy! He tried his best but we had to ask for water or the bill twice because he’d be bouncing from table to table. The food was alright. I got their brick chicken which was advertised to have a ton of flavor and a crispy, textured skin. It was moderately spiced and the skin was just there.

My family and I have been coming here for years and we love Mimi’s for breakfast and brunch especially! There is parking right outside and since this is part of Bridgepointe Shopping Center, there is always an open spot somewhere: D Each time I have come here, I always receive such friendly customer service and never feel rushed. I recently came here with an old friend to catch up and we were there for almost 2 hours, even though we were just having a «quick» breakfast. However, the waiter did not rush us and was very hospitable. P. S. those muffins are bomb! :D Take a box to-go!

This place is good. I love the bread pudding and corn chowder. I believe that stuffs famous here. The wine is good here too . I also love the chicken salad sandwich and any of there muffins, yum. All that stuff is soo scrumptious here. The chicken salad sandwich had such a great aftertaste that I burped and the aftertaste was sooo great. The bread pudding has chocolate, nuts that I think are almonds and I think theres rum in it too. ITs really good

Came here after shopping at target to grab a quick bite. The place was about half-full so there was plenty of seating and we didn’t have to wait long to grab a table. I think they have changed the menu since last time I’ve eaten at Mimi’s it seems a little smaller than it used to be. The food here is pretty average nothing to write home about. The food is fine pretty much what you’d expect from a chain restaurant. The service was very good but the food was just ok. The one good thing that they had there was the breadbasket. The bread taste nice and fresh and we also got a muffin that was very good. Overall the place was okay at least the service was decent.
