First time in Texas, first time at the Stockyards — decided on here for lunch. Must be a popular joint because it was fairly busy. I was part of a group(~ 6 people + baby) — they seated us outdoors. It was picnic table style seating so for those of you who get seated outside — just a warning if that’s not your cup of tea. Thank goodness for the misters and the mister fan. The majority of the group ordered the all you can eat beef rib plate. I usually eat pork ribs but wanted to give this place a try. Service was great — super attentive but not overbearing. The plate came with a basket of beef ribs, your choice of a side(I got french fries) and texas toast. Fries were ok — standard. The ribs were good, but not fantastic. However, portion size was big — not what I am accustomed to being from Los Angeles. I could barely get through my one basket. No complaints here!

Try the chicken fried steak — nearly the best in Texas Impossible almost to finish it Great service but go early especially on Saturday Six of us ordered chicken fried steak and calf fries and did not regret it.

We loved this place! My husband was looking for a great steak and he found it here. We were there for lunch. They have a great lunch menu. My husband had the lunch ribeye($ 12.99). He eats his steak very rare and has a hard time finding a place that cooks it correctly. They did it perfect. I shared the chicken fried chicken with my daughter. It came with two large pieces of meat and garlic mashed potatoes. It was very good, we also ordered the fried pickles, they are an off menu item, so, you have to ask for them. Everything was very tasty and our server, James, did a great job. We will be eating here again the next time we are in Ft. Worth!

5 star worthy for sure! Stopped in for lunch and were seated immediately. Our waitress helped me decide on a drink and proceeded to answer any questions we had on the menu. She was really nice the entire time and checked on us twice. It wasn’t very busy so our food came out quick. I had the bacon wrapped tenderloin filet and my bf had the rib eye. We were more than satisfied with both of our steaks. They were truly delicious and I totally recommend them both. We were seated right below the buffalo head which was a bit distracting cause I kept feeling watched haha but it was all very Texan and I will be back if I’m ever in the area again!

Not impressed. Very slow, foods just okay. This is NOT the place with the all you can eat ribs by the way, that’s the barbecue. There are two with the same name! The only thing good about this place are the rolls.

The all you can eat ribs are the bomb! Love coming here with family and friends because there’s always great food and drinks. The waiting staff is great, which make Riskys BBQ a great place to relax and have fun.

Love the food here, but I don’t like giving my money to places that give bad customer service. Our waitress Fabiola gave us a snobby look the whole time we were there and we had to constantly beg for her attention. The girls at the front apparently forgot to write our name down for the waiting list and tried to deny they made a mistake. Everything was cleared out after my husband called her out. Maybe new management would help.

Came to the stockyards on a Saturday night and was looking for a place to have dinner and came across Riscky’s which had the shortest wait time for a sit down restaurant. Definitely has the décor and ambiance of a Texan steakhouse. Service was actually really good and felt like we were being checked on frequently. Although, I was trying to stay away from the rolls, everyone told me I had to try them and I definitely didn’t regret it! I ordered the chicken fried steak which was huge and delicious with the perfect amount of gravy and was still crispy. It came with salad and a side for $ 16. One of my friends ordered the filet which was definitely cooked medium when she ordered medium rare, but it still looked dry and didn’t have a good sear on the outside.

Spent the afternoon in the Stockyards and I got a hankering for steak so this was the perfect place to go. I got the Stockyard Special with was a flat iron steak topped with mushrooms and a Merlot reduction. It was amazing. I don’t think I’ve had a more delicious steak. The beans that came on the side were delicious as well. Had asparagus on the side which was a perfect choice. Great dinner.

Food was ok. Its location is perfect tourist trap. Looked at other reviews and new what to expect. My kids were tired and this was the closest location. Nice out door seating. On a Saturday after the cows do their stroll down the street, it’s fun to watch the cars and bikes roll pass. The food I could cook better myself. Will not return. Three stars for atmosphere and good service.

My daughters half ribs were delicious and they came with a soup and a side. She asked for a baked potato. We were really pleased with her order. I ordered a steak salad and was disappointed. Steak was pretty much in cubes not slices as I’m used to and just not tasty… I wouldn’t have it again.:Disappointed!

Two stars because the steaks are great. Service HORRIBLE. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Our check was $ 62 for two; no tip. Our drinks ran dry, no bread, no refills, and no offer for bread. In fact we only saw our waitress, Nina I think, when she took our orders and brought our check. Unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this to those that enjoy good service with their steaks.

I had the smoked Catfish. It was most excellent. Our server was Ernesto and he was very sweet and attentive. I assume Scott is the manager. He was most excellent as well. He also reminded me of my favourite WWF wrestler Goldberg and I love it! I went here with my sister and her boyfriend as I am going through a break up and they’re cheering me up they chose a great location, and the atmosphere was perfect. Thanks again! I shall be coming back albeit I live in Dallas haha

It was our first time in the stockyards, we parked in front of there and loved the look of the outside. We ordered calf fries, ribs, steak and potatoes skins. Everything was amazing. We totally recommend this place and will be back soon. Also very very cheap for the amount of food that you get.

Great steak, very flavorful. What set this place apart was the service. We just dropped in not knowing anything about the area. Our waiter steered us to some local wine and beer. Complimented to steak wonderfully. Had the top sermon with sauted mushroom with a local Rahr dark seasonal beer. My wife got the same with a «purple cowboy» wine. We came out full as an Alabama tick. Very satisfying. If ever I come back, will have to hit this place again. Good job guys.

I randomly stopped in here after checking out The Stockyards for the first time with friends. It was a cold day, so something warm was necessary. We slid in right before the lunch menu was changing so we all quickly ordered. I ordered the soup of the day, which was broccoli cheddar, and a BLT. Sounds kind of basic, but I enjoyed both. The BLT had a special garlic red pepper mayo which was delicious. Prices were very decent too. My friend ordered a ribeye steak for less than $ 13!

Food’s cooked very well & tasted great. EXTREMELY expensive! Cattleman’s has the better deals. Calf fries are delicious & steaks were great but not worth $ 40 for a 16oz ribeye. There 2 fer dinner special, for $ 70 gets you a small filet, small ribeye, sides, calf fries app &2 glasses of wine. That deal’s great because a small glass of house white wine was $ 11.

Working lunch for 3; convinced my team to eat steak instead of Mexican just down the street. Greeted and seated promptly. Drink & app order taken quickly. Fried corn app was amazing, just seemed(note the word«seemed» — I was STARVING) to take much longer than it should. We all ordered steak of some sort — two ribeyes and one steak salad. I ordered mine rare — slap it on the grill for marks — came out very medium rare — little pink left inside(totally unappealing for a rare meat eater) but I didn’t dare send it back because the service never got better. I ate it and my broccoli, which was very good.(Did I mention I was STARVING?) Waitress kept saying she was waiting on fresh bread; it came out after we got our meal, which was fine since we weren’t there for the bread. Drinks ran dry, and turns out our waitress was also the bartender which explains the service delay. Not much team service at this restaurant. Hit or miss on return — lots of steak in Texas.

With all you can eat ribs for just 13 bucks, in the Stock Yards, and it actually being good… I will be returning for more! They were not the best beef ribs I have ever had however! Still great for the price! The…baked potato was pretty small…

Came here for dinner after a conference meeting. This place is more big that it appears when you initially enter. We had 2 servers(thinking one was shadowing another) whom were both very pleasant. My boss and I ordered calf fries(LOL I know) and I got a rib-eye with broccoli and cheese soup. The calf fries were actually not as bad as I thought. until I started to really think about what I was eating. It had a livery taste to it when you really were trying to eat it slowly. However, if you douse it in the dipping sauce, chew, and swallow, it tastes like fried chicken. I ordered my rib-eye medium well and it was cooked perfectly. The only downfall was that there was a lot of fat on mine. My boss ordered the same thing, bone-in, but his looked more rare than medium rare… that’s for sure. So the cooking on the meat wasn’t really executed well and there was also a lot of fat on his too. This place is a bit pricey as the total bill came out to $ 99.54. The interior is a bit out dated too… I mean yes it portrayed the old western theme, but there was a daddy long leg spider inside the cabinet I sat next too. Didn’t want to really see that when I was eating. Yikes!

Tried the 9oz Filet and it was the best steak I’ve had into life. I had a local recommend this place but I am left wondering if it’s just because the beef is really fresh. I need to try another steakhouse to compare the quality of meat. Also ordered broccoli that was not axing but the loaded baked potato soup was delicious as well. But seriously, I could have cut my steak with a spoon it was so tender!

Well I suppose it’s my mistake for expecting good ribs at a steak house. Very fatty and full of gristle. Food brought to the table all at once– kinda hard to eat your app/salad/soup and main course all at once at a small table. DONOTCOMPLAINABOUTHAIRINYOURSALAD–«none of our kitchen staff has long hair so…» Says the manager with a phonic issue. Could have been decent meal yet the attitude really destroyed it from the manager. Peeked into the kitchen also, could really use a scrub down as well. Overall view meeehhhh

Had lunch here. Ordered a medium well 7oz tenderloin wrapped in bacon and garlic mashed potatoes with a glass of red Texan wine — a Shiraz. My meal was perfect! Cost just over $ 20! Service was quick(I was in and out in under 30 minutes). The reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is … I ate at the bar and the staff didn’t talk to me much even though I was eating alone.

It’s a little touristy but that’s expected since its at the stockyards. We came late on a Saturday night and there was no wait. I wasn’t very hungry so I ordered the grilled chicken breast with mushrooms. It was completely covered in mushrooms so you had to dig to find it. The chicken was pretty good though. The restroom setup is weird. The men’s restroom has an open stall and urinal next to it. That just makes no sense at this type of restaurant. The service was good but nothing extraordinary. You can find better restaurants in the area which aren’t as overpriced.

So we hear about how good these calf fries were and then after our mean we realized that they were«FRIEDCOWTESTICLES» oh my goodness so gross. I thought they were mushy and didn’t really like them before we at them but after we found out what they were I wanted to throw up. We also got the cowboy ribeye to share and it was very tender but it was also super fatty and when you are paying $ 40 for a steak you want it to be amazing. I will tell you though the beer was super cold and it was a good local beer and they have a lot of local drink options. This place was really over rated. I honestly would not recommend it to other people.

Food looks good, taste okay but not very impressed. High tourists prices!!! Never got the question for refuel… Drink menu without prices I would recommend to order the style of your steak one level lower to get what you expect. I ordered Medium-Rear but got Medium…
