Coconut Bay Resort Condominium

Terrible staff, very prejudice. The day we checked in, they labelled us as not being wanted, then when an incident occured done by others of our kind, they had began to discriminate against all of our group of people. The other tenants here are nice and friendly and the room is decent, but the staff are rude and disrespectful, don’t give any money to this place

This place needs a serious remodel. It is like your grandmother’s décor from the 80’s. It reminds me of the set of The Golden Girls. The pale pink walls, the artificial flowers, the ugly flowery comforters. On top of that I had to call maintenance twice because our toilet kept clogging. Speaking of which I am still waiting for them to come fix it hours later. I gave this place an extra star because it is literally two block from the beach, which i dig. If I ever make my way down to Ft. Lauderdale again I will spend the extra money and stay somewhere nicer, or at least somewhere that has a functioning toilet.
P. S. The Wi-​Fi here is HORRIBLE! Good luck trying to get a signal.

Decent condo for a short distance walk to the beach. Its about 1.5miles down from the night life restaurant on the strip. The rooms furnished with a kitchenette and okay showers. Nothing fancy we weren’t in the rooms all day. In our room we had small bugs but it wasnt worth a hassle to complain we got whats we paid for a good price for a busy holiday. Overall the condos were out dated. I wouldn’t consider this a resort its more like a hotel. If you wanted drinks and snacks 7eleven gas station next door. They give you pool towels to used. Parking easy access. We check in early. Had great friendly front office service. They were generous to call us when the rooms were ready.

Found multiple cock roaches in our room when we stayed here last summer. They also don’t hide the roach traps very well. Found them under our beds, in the bathroom, and just out in the open in the corners of the rooms. GROSS. The quality of the rooms are sub par and it was pretty noisy.

It’s not terrible. The rooms are decent the showers are warm and have space which is important for a tall guy like me. The wifi connects to some people phones and won’t connect to others, same with laptops and game consoles etc. you can see all the yachts from your back porch. Walk fifteen feet and you can touch them! The waterway smells horrible but that’s just not the hotels fault. You can’t smell it inside or anything but at times it could make it hard to relax outside. Very small but clean pool. Comfortable hot tub. The location is great. Lots of small restaurants and gift shops as well as a two or three minute walk to the beach which is very nice. It’s called a resort but it should lean more towards hotel. I would go again because its a great value, but just make sure you have plenty to do around town because this place doesn’t have much.

I have been an owner of a timeshare at the Coconut Bay for several years. For the amount I pay yearly it is a very good economy friendly hotel. Compared to other timeshares I have stayed out with large names, you do not get the same thrils at the Coconut Bay. The resort is very close to the beach which is a plus. The rooms need a better cleaning. We found hair in the bathroom, bed, and floors. I think if the resort got a new cleaning crew it would help out a lot. The outside also needs a face lift. The resort has remodeled most of the interiors of the rooms but still do not have flat screen televisions. The Wifi is a joke as you have to be in the lobby or pool area. I would not think it would be that difficult to get Wifi access that would be available through out the property. Over the past couple years I have seen a decline in the maintance of the rooms and property. The paid washer and dryers need to be replaced as it does not dry the clothes. The bed sheets do not fit the bed which I can not understand why.

This is a true hidden gem in South Florida. By no means luxurious or sophisticated by current standards, it is a charming and homelike slice of «Old Florida.» The modest resort has a perfectly landscaped pool and hot tub area, adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. Many suites boast a view of the lovely yachts moored here, and Fort Lauderdale beach is an easy one block walk.
The suites range from studios to two bedroom units, all clean and comfortable. Suites offer fully applianced kitchens. Laundry area is located near the pool. WiFi is available in the lobby and poolside. Our two bedroom suite has a dockside lanai, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine.
In short, we love this place and come back year after year.
