I loved grabbing a drink and then reading in Barnes and Nobles. The staff is really friendly and I often meet my friends there.

Nice place to sit around and read or do homework. They even have wifi so sit as long as you want(if you can find a seat)! Line moves smoothly. The place is very spacious. The baristas are very nice. I haven’t met a mean/rude barista at this Starbucks.

This Starbucks is adjacent to the former Barnes & Noble store(Target being opened there soon), where one can people watch on Austin Street. Plenty enough seating if you come at an off hour. Going to miss grabbing Starbucks and roaming around Barnes & Noble«You’ll be missed Barnes & Noble». Other than that it’s Starbucks; you know what you’re gonna get. They’re all the same anyway for the most part.

Since I have a hard time concentrating at home because the amount of distractions I have around my house, I like to come to this place to do my school work. This place is relatively popular, and you always find the same loyal customers coming back. The staff is pretty friendly, especially dealing with some difficult customers. I saw one woman giving one of the baristas a hard time, because she changed her mind about her drink after she paid. The bad part about this place is the bathrooms. The toilets never seem to flush, or it’s dirty, or it’s out-of-order. I cannot necessarily blame the staff, because they usually only have 3 people working per time where all of them are helping with the constant lines here. They never have time to go back to clean them. I suggest management find some more employees to clean around the bathrooms and tables. Also, there’s barely any seating. I suggest Starbucks buy the former Barnes & Noble space next door, and create a bigger area for themselves. There’s a constant battle for seats here. One woman got upset with a blind woman for not telling her a seat was already taken by a gentleman who just ran to use the bathroom.

First of all, I just wanted to say the staff there is amazing. They take the time to get to know my order and suggested an almond croissant to go with my coffee. When I had the croissant, it was very delicious. I think this has become my go to Starbucks food item. They have plenty of space to sit as well as two restrooms so you don’t have to wait in line for too long. You can see how much Josh(manager) takes care of his store and how well it reflects from the minute you walk into this location. Greatly recommended!

Stopped by to take a practice exam. Cashier barista was nice. However, barista handling drinks was very rude when I asked if I was too wait for my sandwich there as well. Not a big Starbucks person but no need to be rude.

The staff is friendly always remembers my name and my drinks are always on point! Love it! It gets busy in the morning hours with is expected because there are a lot of businesses in the area. The afternoon hours are the worst during the week due to the school kids that love to hang out inside and sometimes blocks the doors outside!

Usually packed. The baristas are hit or miss. They may be nice or rude. They may be disorganized. One was super nice and did not hassle me when I asked for a cup of water, they gave me the filtered water and not the tap even! Another time I noticed strange things floating in my tea. I did not feel like waiting in a long line to bring this to their attention nor did I want to ingest anything from there again after that experience so I tossed it and didn’t return. The bathrooms are usually broken down and dirty. The seating configuration is awkward and packed into a small space. Not a great place.

Boy, you’d better not be a hurry when you come in here. And that’s not to say the staff is in any way slow to fill your order. But there’s always a line — and I mean a looooong line. I usually only grab an iced coffee and it takes forever. I have to say though, the staff is very friendly here. I would choose this location over others(when choosing Starbucks, I mean). I would still rather go to an independently owned spot first, but you do what you can. Sometimes waiting on this line for coffee done right is still better than waiting on a different(possibly even longer) line for coffee that isn’t as good — or served up rude. I’ll wait here, thank you.

It’s starbucks and it gets the job done. This location makes for a good study spot too, I see no reason to complain about it.

Claustrophobic. So small. A hot mess.(DIRTY) I had a bad experience with the baristas, but maybe it was an isolated incident?

When it comes to Starbucks in the NYC(and Queens, etc.) areas, I usually have pretty low expectations. Unfortunately this location, attached to B&N on Austin Street, but more-or-less functioning as a standalone store, does not give me reason to change that expectation. This particular location struggles with some of the issues many other locations do: –Poor seating plan/limited table space(maybe eight tables and three or four stools at a counter top is more than some other locations have, but the tables and working spaces are so small, that it’s hard to set up your own stuff, much less share with someone else). –WiFi is painfully slow, even for a Starbucks. I never go into a Starbucks looking to stream video or do anything even moderately close, but when it takes minutes(yes, plural) to load a simple blog, then it’s basically unusable. –Baristas were more interested in talking to their friends/other employees than helping their customers. After waiting several minutes with no one in front of me for a small iced coffee, I noticed the barista had put it in a hard-to-see location on the counter and made no attempt to alert me. When I asked for a straw, which she was standing right next to, she half-heartedly directed me to another table rather than handing me one. Next time I’m waiting for a friend in the area, I’ll find a new spot to try and get some work done.

I don’t think they make their drinks right. I have purchased an Iced Green Tea Lemonade here a few times. First time buying it, I said to myself, «Maybe the barista was new, maybe next time I’ll have it better». I come back here to buy another Iced Green Tea Lemonade made by a different barista, and it still tasted bad. They added too much lemonade in it to the point where it’s just too sour to drink. Another time I decided to order the Iced Chai Tea Latte, specifically asking for light ice in it. Well, the Barista almost filled the entire cup with ice. My mother was with me at the time, and told her to add less ice. The Barista took the drink back, but when she gave it back to me, it tasted so watered down. I wouldn’t be surprised if she just removed the ice and added water in it. She was probably too lazy to add more Chai tea in it. And lastly, half the time I order something here the baristas forget my order. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a patient person. But anyone would lose patience if after paying for the drink at the register, they wait at that little counter for 20 – 25 minutes and never get their drink. The baristas who have forgotten my order never apologized. On the bright side, it’s next to B&N Great if you purchase a book at B&N then read it at Starbucks with a drink on the side.

In dire need to seek relief from the oppressive, purgatory summer’s heat, I came to this Starbucks #7217 for a cool down as the 71st Continental Avenue Starbucks only had two microscopic benches. Seating is adequate when arriving early at non-peak hours and staff is readily available to serve patrons, amid at snail speed but I was properly attended. The air conditioning is fully operational without complaint. This Starbucks #7217 is adjacent to Barnes & Noble where one can enjoy browsing books on Austin Street, Forest Hill’s commercial hub to be concluded with a cold drink. It is easily accessible by MTA Subway and LIRR Forest Hills station. My fruit salad deluxe at $ 3.45 was my lunch for the heat drained my energy to function. Disappointingly a shortage of Chai Ice Tea, but the Ice Green Tea is suffice which enable my cool down from the oppressive, purgatory summer’s heat.

Really tiny Starbucks. The service in this one is horrendous! They work so darn slow. There’s usually 4 – 5 people on line. Double parking here is a complete no-no. If you’re in a rush and wanting Starbucks coffee, you can skip this one. There is another Starbucks on Austin St. It’s inside of Barnes and Noble. What’s good about both of these Starbucks, 71st Continental E, F, M, R, G station and the Long Island Railroad is nearby.
