I like to come here for relax, it is a good place for me to taste some delicious cake.

Too expensive. Pastries are ok but overrated and did I say expensive? Location is in the heart of Austin St so parking can be a bit challenging if you have the munchies and just want to quickly run in and out. Sorry but I don’t regular this bakery… just too expensive.

They have so much on their menu, you can go a hundred times and still try something new. At first I used to order the same couple things but now I’m trying to branch into new desserts. The prices are reasonable, quality is a hundred times better than other bakeries. And it’s fresh. The service is quick given the crowd and the servers are kind I love the tres leche, warm chocolate cookie, the banana pudding Yumm and Napoleon.

I just went in to buy cakes and the Indian looking hostess was extremely rude. She thought I was skipping the line but nobody else even needed to order and was extremely hostile. She didn’t even say hi to me when I walked in so I thought she was a customer yelling at me until I saw her get behind the host stand and glare at me until I left. How about you do your job right and stay out of my way? Thanks

Best Napoleon I ever had!!! The cream is so fresh and smooth, and with the berries, OMG I would be in heaven. Tiramisu and cheesecakes are also very decent. Go to this place to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Really?! Standing a slice of cake in a box. Smh. Ganache layer stuck to top of box. Tip: lay down a slice of cake when boxing it up to-go. Chocolate flavor is lacking in cake and filling. Definite chocolate taste in the exterior layer(ganache?). The cake tasted flat. The filling was light, but just tastes like oil. Maybe there’ll be a next time. I see lots of customers favor the tiramisu and berry Napoleon.

This is an amazing place oh my gosh it’s like dessert heaven! The minute I walk in here I didn’t want to leave this place. Their pastries are the best, and forget it their cakes are off the hook !! When I’m around the area I always stop by !

Came here with a friend for dessert. Talk about sugar overload! There was a slight wait to be seated, which I attribute to the popularity of this place. I got a berry tart, which I found too dry, and a mexican hot chocolate, which I couldn’t finish because it was just too sweet. My friend got the Very Berry Napoleon, which I actually liked better. I might come back to try something else, but whatever I got that time left me somewhat disappointed. On the bright side, I really like the décor, it has a nostalgic bakery feel to it.

They are severely overrated. EVERYTHING is Pre-made and premixed. It’s all about«just add water and oil.». Even their cakes are made with bagged cake mix. For a shop that calls themselves a BAKERY… I’m disgusted that almost nothing is actually made here. Saw their truck at 3:11pm dropping off many bags of «Pillsbury» brand mixes. Their iced coffee tastes off, as if it was left overnight to cool. The Oreo cheesecake isn’t bad but nothing special. The Oreos have such a weak taste. I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone if they really wanted a «homemade bakery» experience. Also their cheesecakes went up in rice again. More then $ 30 for a little whole cheesecake. Meh

Soooo, we know that I struggle with a sweet tooth. Hence, why my step goals surpass the 10K they say its a healthy amount. I will be adding 7K every time I come here and have the banana nutella crème brulee. I would’ve never thought to put banana or nutella on top of crème brulee, but I am so happy they did! I was in sweet heaven and didn’t want to come down. I couldn’t finish it so I took the rest to go. Sadly, I left it at my friend’s house and they gladly ate it the next day… horrible friend. I shall be back and will be adding more to my step intake to partake in this deliciouness!

Dessert, Dessert, Dessert. A flamboyant, decadent bakery of sugary delights. Have never left without happiness and everyone finding something really sweet and horrible for the waistline. This is one of the Martha locations, and probably the smallest of the three, but it packs the crowd. Usually always come to this Martha’s Bakery because Bayside is a little out of my way, and the service is so much better. The wait can be a bit long especially in the evenings and weekends but worth it. You can’t really go wrong with their desserts but red velvet cheesecake, tres leches, fruit tarts and tiramisu are the recommended ones.

There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said about their famous Very Berry Napoleon. Light, flaky pastry sheets filled with a cream custard and fresh berries. They have endless options of breads, cookies and pastries but the Napoleon is guaranteed to become your favorite.

Skip the coffee or whatever drinks and go right to their dessert! Martha’s Country Bakery has this insane display case of baked good of everything one can imagine. What to order can really be an issue but my Unilocal Forest Hill BFF(we do have a badge to prove) highly recommend their Very Berry Neapolitan. I was not disappointed as the custard cream was so light and rich and loaded with various fresh berries! Great portion to share or enjoying that alone. Brewed Coffee tasted old and muddy. Might as well order the slice to go and make my own coffee. Service though friendly but was painfully slow. The waitress even forgot the slice of cake we ordered until I reminded her and even getting the bill took so much effort. The café was not even that busy…

Anyone who says I’m going to Martha’s just melts in their seat hearing the word«Martha’s» Then there is ones like me who are late coming here. The first time(I’ve been here three times now) I was in ahhhh over what to choose! We got a seat in a Sunday after traveling in from Jersey! We had coffee and I had shared the Oreo cheese cake! omg., that’s it, that’s all I need to say! The cheese cake crust, how dense and flavorful the inside, the topping was of so perfect texture wise! The overall flavors were over bearing and great for a «I need a dessert right now» kick! My friends husband got the chocolate cake which is his favorite and he gets it every time. I didn’t have any but then again the way he was eating it I don’t know if I would’ve gotten a bite! The second time I came I saw the line and screamed! It was late and we ended up settle for drinks instead which doesn’t compare! The last time was sadly enough the last time for possibly forever! It was the day before I moved back to Seattle! I finally got the Napoleon berries/whip cream/layered flaky goodness! The bottom wasn’t Soggy at all. The berries were perfectly cut to proportion! The whip cream was a little thicker than normal but was with a hint of sugar to make it just right! This was a perfect great to end my last day in NYC.

This little spot on Austin is very busy but their desserts are always fresh and decadent. Apple pie al a mode and nutella macaroons are my all time favorites! My only problem is that sometimes the staff members can appear a little incompetent when you ask them questions about certain products.

Martha’s bakery offers a wide array of sweet desserts for your every confectionary needs. From baklavas, cakes, cannolies, cookies, fruit tarts, gelato, to macarons AND macaroons. This bakery is perfect for your very berry Napoleon craving to catering for your holiday parties. Protip: order a week before on the holidays. For pickup give yourself an hour of wait time. This bakery is crazy packed on ALL holidays. I have bought and brought countless Martha’s cakes for everything from Christmas parties to Friendsgiving and they have always been a hit and a welcoming presence. I’ve found that certain staples are crowd pleasers. Such as their strawberry shortcake, fruits pies, pineapple shortcake and very berry Napoleon. Their Berry Napoleon is crispy layers puff pastry and creamy custard with tart berries inside. The tartness of the berries is a perfect contrast to the thick custard and the sweet confectionary sugar on top. Thank you, thank you Martha’s staff for making my family, friends and I very happy customers!

There’s really mot much to say. This bakery, hands down, serves THEBEST cake you can find in all of NYC. I’m a fan of their chocolate layer cake, and chocolate lava molten cake with ice cream. They have the best cupcakes, and their oreo cheesecake is out of the world! No complaints at all with this place. They deliver amazing quality cake and stay consistent with it. I am a regular here and if you’ve never stopped by, you definitely need to!

I love Martha’s for everything they are and the variety they have. Unfortunately the last few times I’ve gotten dessert from Martha’s it was old. My last time there I got an all chocolate slice of cake. I bring it home only to find that the slice is hard and crusty. It was such a disappointment. Martha’s could be a 5 star establishment but lack of freshness makes me turn away from the bakery chain.

If you work or live in Manhattan, Martha’s Bakery is definitely a trek but well worth it! Came here to buy my roommate a birthday cake on a Tuesday during lunch and there was no wait. Based on the reviews, I definitely lucked out as the line could typically be out the door. There was a large selection of desserts and cakes — they all looked so good and beautifully decorated. I would be here all the time if I lived near any of their locations. I ordered the 8″ triple chocolate mousse cake($ 34) which was decently priced compared to Manhattan. They will write a message on the cake in icing for no extra charge. My roommate said this was the best birthday cake she ever had. The different textures from the three mousse layers went well together(smooth chocolate and fluffy mousse). Every bite of the cake would melt in your mouth. Also had their Oreo cheesecake($ 7 a slice) which was great as well. The cheesecake is heavy so don’t try to eat it in one seating like I did. Would definitely come back to Martha’s for any future birthday cakes.

Martha’s a great place to spot by and grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a slice(or 2) of their delicious cakes with friends. I’ve been to this location multiple times(for dine-in and take-out) and can tell you that there is almost always a wait to get a table(You can download an app on their website to help you queue in line for a table so you don’t have to wait that long). So their desserts aren’t very unique but they do taste good(probably due to all the cream they add in their pastries). Here are some of my favorites that I’ve enjoyed while I was there. Very Berry Napoleon: I guess one of their most popular pastries and I cannot disagree that it doesn’t taste delicious. It’s nice to have a few pieces of fruits sandwiched in between the flavors of cream to even out the heaviness. Sliced Cheesecakes: Martha’s version is exactly what I want in a cheesecake; dense creamy goodness. caramel macchiato: get it when you want to drink something sweet(if your pastries isn’t sweet enough). All in all, I enjoy all my visits to Martha’s. I enjoy almost all of the pastries that I’ve gotten from Martha’s, but they are certainly not the best that I’ve tried. Would I come back here again? Most certainly. They do churn out consistent quality desserts and I can see myself buying from them again.
