Nothing innately bad here, but it is just average sushi. Absolutely nothing that would cause me to want to come back for sure. If nothing else is open and I’m jonesing for sushi, then I’ll order, but if there are other options open, I’m going elsewhere.

This place was very disappointing, I should have been clued in by the utter lack of customers.

HORRIBLE dining experience. Have been to this chain in Pekin, IL and it was amazing… this place is extremely bad. Went here for lunch and it was about 60 degrees in the restaurant… everyone in my party and I had to keep our coats on the entire meal and we were still freezing cold. Two of us ordered hibachi, two of us ordered fried rice. There were only two other diners in the restaurant and even though we were seated first, the other table WASSERVEDFIRST!!! It took the waitress an extremely long time to get our order. The two who ordered hibachi got their plates first, about 20 – 30 minutes after it was ordered: we WERETHEONLYPEOPLEINTHERESTAURANT!!! Then for a simple dish of fried rice, we had to wait approximately 15 minutes more and even then the dishes did not come out at the same time. Sad and pathetic with horrible customer service. FOODWASNOTWORTHPRICE, poor quality. Fried rice was very gross, crunchy, and the shrimp were pieces and not even whole shrimp. Expensive, disgusting, gross, and a major let down. Bring back China Garden, at least their food had quality to it. Don’t waste your time!!!

I’m not a huge sushi fan to begin with, so I may be biased. I got the teriyaki chicken, which was ok. The other people I was with ordered sushi. Their orders seemed to take forever to arrive. When it all arrived, it looked good though.

Why does there seem to be a restaurant force field right after CR300? Hokkaido, and China Garden before it, kept falling off the radar when it came to dinner. Oh well, I was able to stop by last Friday night. I was a little bored with the idea of another sushi bar in Findlay, but am actually impressed with the way the Hokkaido stop turned out. It reminds me of Tokyo Steakhouse in layout, but seems to be cheaper in price. I picked up a drink special and some sushi for cheaper than I could get at either there or Asian Grill. I do think Asian Grill has the better sushi, but this isn’t anything to turn down. There was a little disappointment when I found out my spicy yellowtail roll had tempura inside, but it was still edible. On the other hand, the eel and tuna rolls were very tasty. I left full and happy. It’s easier for me to stay on the east side of town, but this place is pretty good for what it is.

This is a very good Japanese Steakhouse. They have hibachi tables and regular table seating. The hibachi chefs are very friendly, and good at their craft. The food tastes wonderful and the price is pretty standard for this type of restaurant. They also have sushi, however I don’t eat sushi so I can’t say how it is.
