The best sushi in Findlay! The quality of the fish is top notch and is obviously prepared by someone who knows their craft. It’s a fairly small menu, but it’s all the best it can be.
The atmosphere feels a little more upscale than other sushi restaurants in town, but it isn’t stuffy. There are private rooms in the back which is perfect for a small party, in addition to the front dining tables and hibachi tables. I’ve eaten at Japan Wests with friends, family, and with a Bachelorette party and have enjoyed myself each time.

Came in to Japan West to celebrate my birthday. After exploring the traditional Japanese dinner menu, my family decided to try the beef teriyaki & tempura and the tonkatsu & tempura. It was delicious and perfect for those who want to try something new but are afraid that «traditional Japanese» means raw fish. Since it was my birthday, I also got a free pineapple boat with a scoop of Dietsch’s green tea ice cream. Great service and wonderful meal!
