Worst and slowest service ever. I had to actually get up and get my own refill after waiting for over 5 minutes. I was never asked how anything was. I am usually lenient because I myself am a server but this was ridiculous. Also, they had plenty of staff and were slow!

Came here on New Years Eve with my girlfriend. We first waited about 20 minutes just to even get our drinks, and even longer for our food. Since we waited so long for our food I expected it to be great. I ordered my 6 oz. Steak medium, and asked for mushrooms on top with sides of steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. When my food arrived, just by looking at it I didn’t expect the best. The steak looked much smaller than 6 oz. as well. I could barely cut into my steak, and chewing it was even tougher. The steak barely looked like it was even cooked. Aside from that, the broccoli was very hard and didn’t look«steamed» at all. The only positive part were the mashed potatoes. Service was poor and management was even worse. Would not recommend stopping at this Findlay location.

If you search the menu you can find a small handful of healthy options. Nearly every item on the menu has large amounts of hidden sugars in them: sweet vinaigrette dressings, breaded chicken on the salads, bacon marmalade, low fat dressings. This may be one of the most disgusting menus I have ever seen. I did have great service. That is why I gave this place two stars Instead of one.

Tried their shrimp Alfredo, can’t say that it was very good. The sauce was thin and poorly spiced.

Very disappointing meal. Greek salad was served with cold chicken strips, bits of artichoke(couldn’t even see the artichoke in the salad) and finely diced tomatoes. No spinach no peppers, little feta. Complete rip off for $ 10. Atmosphere was also lacking, service slow.

This was my first time in. I had the grilled Tuscan chicken in the small/half size(half breast vs whole) which turned out to be plenty. It comes with asparagus and potatoes(diced) The asparagus was very flavorful and prepared perfectly(not too soggy, not too crunchy). I don’t recall the menu specifying sweet potatoes, but every so often I’d eat a potatoes wedge that tasted like one(couldn’t tell with coloring due to the seasonings). Although I’m not a fan of sweet potatoes, I won’t say it ruined the meal. One thing I like about their menu is that they offer quite a few options for lighter meal choices, that are actually appetizing. On a Saturday afternoon, which happened to be graduation wkend for the U of Findlay, the place was pretty deserted. Not sure what that was all about, but staff was friendly and efficient. …can’t say there was anything overly great that I’d have a particular craving for max and erma’s, but I do recommend it as a cool lunch spot for reasonable pricing and decent food:-)

Despite was others have commented, I am a long time Findlay resident and can only say great things about this restaurant. Although it may be part of a chain, it feels like a local home town establishment. The food has always been great and whenever there has been a minor problem, the mgmt has always more than corrected the issue. Hats off to our local Findlay Max & Erma’s.

The food was good, I had a honky tonk burger(medium) cooked perfectly. The rest of my party got asparagus as a side and it was a little woody. But the server overheard and rectified the situation before we even asked. So service was very good.

The space feels more like Max-like than Erma-inspired, and that’s all right with me. Our group had appetizers and large salads, and they were fine. The service was okay, too.

Max & Erma’s is another chain restaurant that seems to lose its appeal after it builds a restaurant in Findlay. I’m not sure if it’s just hard to get good staffing around here, or if it just loses its exclusivity after being closer to home. To be honest, there’s nothing materially wrong with this restaurant, rather it’s just not spectacular. This is another place where I’ve had inconsistent service. Sometimes the waitress does an acceptable job, and other times they disappear. On the times they’ve disappeared, it wasn’t in a packed house either. Regardless, their M.O. is the typical«throw random items on the wall, and charge $ 8.00 for a burger.» For me, it’s not an instant turnoff, but this can get old real quick. I visit Max & Erma’s only once in a while to avoid burnout.
