Excellent place! Great, cozy atmosphere and we’ve always had excellent service. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. It’s become a favorite with my family and we regularly choose Wasabi when we’re in town. We normally get a bento box and order some of the specialty rolls. The spider roll, rainbow roll and heaven rolls are a few of my favorites!

I had the Hibachi chicken. It was fantastic. Came out hot. Everything was perfectly cooked. Staff was friendly. I would recommend checking it out.

My friends and I usually make the drive from Fort Bragg to Osaka for good sushi, but today we decided to try Wasabi. The atmosphere is so comfortable. It’s modern and up to date on the inside and the interior design is unlike any other sushi place I have been. The service was amazing. Our waitress was friendly and answered any questions we had. The food was delicious. We ordered pot stickers, teriyaki chicken bento boxes, a crunch roll, and a flaming dragon roll. It was extremely fast service and we were in and out of there in no time. All in all, we no longer have to make the drive to Hope Mills because we found a new favorite.

The best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been in Fayetteville. Fresh ingredients and variety of rolls. The service is also amazing and I particularly like the music they play throughout the day, it makes your experience very nice

First off, I’m no sushi expert but this is by far my favorite place to enjoy good handmade rolls. I love the small, intimate atmosphere and the dimmed lights are perfect for a romantic date night. I started with miso soup which is fairly generic but I love it. I had the carnivore roll and wasabi roll afterwards. Both absolutely amazing. David, the sushi chef seems to be an artistic perfectionist which I appreciate when it comes to my sushi. I enjoyed the arrangement of my rolls on my plate where as other places in town kinda just slap your sliced rolls on a plate and call it a day. Wasabi will be my go-to sushi joint for a while.

My favorite sushi place. I’ve been to pretty much every one in town. Shogun used to be my go to, but this place is so fresh and staff is always positive and attentive. My fav rolls are Wasabi Roll and Firecracker. :) Hibachi is also delicious.

Best Miso soup I have had in a LONG time! Everything we have had here is fresh tasting and has always hit the spot. Red Dragon, Fire Cracker, Heavenly, Shrimp & Veggie Tempura, Spicy Tuna, Tako Yaki were all very good. My only suggestion/complaint is their«spicy» rolls or rolls suggesting they are hot, are not. My husband and I are all about the spicy/hot. Will definitely be back again!

Casual atmosphere and fantastic food. The service was a little pushy though. I had not been there before and the waitress kept making me feel rushed to order. Regardless though, it was delicious. Not too expensive either!

Decent, small sushi place. My friend got 2 rolls and I got a bento box($ 35). It’s a little on the pricey side. The atmosphere is cozy and our server was super nice. I would come back just for her, she was probably one of the nicest servers I have ever encountered. Nothing really that different about this place except there are buttons on the table you can push to get your servers attention. I wish my bento box had the option to come with fresh fruit or a salad instead of the tempura(I’m not big on fried foods). I think next time I’ll try to sub it out. Also, the amount of chicken that came with my bento box seemed small, but there was a ton of food with it so I was more than full.

Let’s face it, there’s no real authentic sushi places in America; certainly this is the case in Fayetteville, NC. Logistically, it would be near impossible to get the true experience because oceans divide us from Japan. However, Wasabi is a major hit in my books. The food, the service, and entire dining experience was pretty above par in my eyes. Ordered the nigiri chirashi($ 20) and a side of unagi($ 5.50), both of which were very satisfying. Quality — superb, fresh, delicate. Rice was properly prepared and tasty. I can’t say that it was the best chirashi I have ever had, but it was the best that I’ve had in NC so far. The ambiance is nice: dark, contemporary(without being kitschy), and somewhat intimate. Definitely a izakaya-style vibe going on. There’s a small sushi bar and a row of smaller tables. Great place for a casual date(upscale by Fayetteville standards). //Verdict // Wasabi has it going on. You are definitely getting good quality food. Their service was great and it was relatively easy to find parking, even though you can quickly blow past the restaurant if you’re not paying attention.

This place is fantastic! Possibly the best sushi I’ve had so far in Fayetteville. The place is very cute and the servers are super nice, well at least ours was. The food was excellent, the music was great. Super cool table feature; just don’t take advantage of it annoy your server with it. Great experience. They offer 10% off to active military members, so make sure you have your Military ID with you.

Uhm, today, not happy, slow service, we asked for the chefs special sushi after 46min we asked the waitress(Phillis) what happen and found out she forgot to put the order in. I also asked for Uni and after an hour I go a frozen dish. This is no way fresh if it still had ice in it. Today the experience was not fun

This is a great little find in Fayetteville! It’s a small place but the décor was nice and clean. The food was superior in my opinion. We had a couple of different sushi rolls. I would easily be able to make a meal of just the sushi. Their steamed veggie pot stickers were excellent! I ordered the shrimp udon noodles and it’s one of the best dishes I have ever had in a Japanese restaurant. I know I will go back just because of that dish! I love that they ask if you would prefer low sodium soy sauce. I look forward to taking some friends back

I would really give this place a 4.5. I can’t really complain! My server was excellent and the food was good. Nice, chill atmosphere, and a quaint space. Happy to receive a military discount for active duty. My husband expected larger rolls for the price. I expected some ingredients to be a little warmer but that’s just nitpicking!

The waitress was very friendly, accommodating, and the food was good. The place is small. I wouldn’t come here with a large group. But it’s nice, clean, and comfortable. Most importantly, the food is good. We got multiple sushi rolls and some nigiri and it was all scrumptious. Depending on the crowd, it could take around 15 – 20 minutes to get your food.

I’m always so hesitant to check out the sushi scene in Fayetteville because I feel so spoiled by the amazing sushi I’ve had in the Triangle. Honestly, I haven’t had«good» sushi in Fayetteville for awhile so I was excited to check out Wasabi. I was able to go to Wasabi with my dad so I have a good idea of their hibachi food and sushi items. I ordered the green tea which came in a decently larger size pot and it was good. We ordered the M & M(mushroom and meatball) appetizer and we will never order that again – or at least I won’t. The mushrooms were really greasy and not fried well at all. I could barely eat one and just gave up. The meatballs, however, were good but a bit dry for my taste. Definitely not enough to save the failure of the mushroom though! I ordered the Kansui and Black Dragon roll and wasn’t particularly wow-ed. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but the flavors just weren’t coming through to me. The presentation of the sushi looked great but it was surprisingly bland considering how unique the Kansui roll is(cucumber instead of seaweed to hold everything together) and the ingredients in the Black Dragon roll(particularly the eel). In terms of other sushi places I’ve tried in Fayetteville, Wasabi is decent but I don’t know if I’ll ever venture out there anytime soon. It also didn’t help that the prices weren’t BOGO – I hate paying full price for so-so sushi. My dad had the hibachi combo with steak and shrimp. He didn’t even touch the fried rice… At first, I just thought he was full but when I asked him about it he just said it wasn’t good. I tried some and he was definitely right. The fried rice is just not cooked well and bland as well – definitely will not try this ever again from here. Everything else was good he claims though. We ordered two take-out items for my mother and sister which were a California roll, hibachi salmon and udon noodles. They claimed their food was good although my sister said the salmon came with this weird glaze she just kinda scrapped off. The service was good though! I really liked our server who was patient with us as we took awhile to order and even more time to order additional take-out meals(asking tons of questions, of course) and was available if we needed anything with a convenient button on our table. Overall, I will probably not go out of my way to go back to Wasabi. If my dad wants to go again, I’d try it but I don’t think I’ll be recommending Wasabi to any of my friends or fellow Unilocalers anytime soon.
