I’ve been hitting mulligans for years. I lived up the road, I ride my bike in the woods down the road, I now live a half hour away and nothing close to me compares. The staff is practically family, from the bar to the waitresses to the hostesses. I order everything, wings, nachos, Irish nachos, potato skins, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, panini’s(ok that’s the gf), fajitas and pizzas. Everything is good, except the 2 for 1 parm and sausage bread app. Personal preferences: wings(well done on the grill), Irish Nachos, Caesar salad w blackened chicken, blackened chicken sandwich, drunken burger, buffalo pizza and chicken fajitas. The onion rings are a great substitute for the fries. But the fries are good too. Have they made a mistake over the years? Sure, they are human. But I come here with family and friends and always have a great meal.

One star is being generous, a «sports» bar with 20+ tvs with the same game that I could watch at home on all of them. They wasted 30 min. Trying to change the chanel on multiple sets to no avail. The only bright spot was the waitress, frustrated as we were, refusing to give me a check for our drinks and nachos. BTW, the nachos were soggy with all the cheese lumped on the bottom. I won’t be back anytime soon

Wanted to give this place one more try, after at least half a dozen… shouldn’t have bothered. We went on Wednesday to get the 2 for 1 parmigiana. Huge mistake! The dishes were extremely salty and quite oily. We took home half but probably will toss it out. Unfortunately, this place doesn’t deserve another try for food, maybe drinks but definitely not food. We eat out a lot but don’t think we’ll be back to this place. Too bad becasue it’s a nice homey type place. Wish the food was edible.

When to Mulligan’s Grill for a change and wanted to stay local. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and promptly seated. The bar was a bit noisy but felt it was not a big deal, until one of the regulars began loudly dropping the f bomb– f, cking this, f, cking that and was loud enough the everyone in the entire place heard it. After about the 5 – 6 f bombs in 5 minutes, I asked the waitress to ask the patron to watch his language which she did and then came over to tell me she just spoke with the guy. Hey, I am no angel but every other word out of a person’s mouth is a bit much for me. On to our meals… hubby ordered the encrusted grouper special and I ordered the fish n chips. Hubby was served a large piece of grouper covered in a heavy cream sauce over rice and a side of frozen steamed veggies, he said it was horrible but I thought it was just ok. The fish n chips were ok at best, 5 small pieces of over breaded cod fish with a plate full of homemade potato chips which were good. Hubby had 2 non-alcoholic Becks beers at $ 5.05 each(a six pack retails for $ 6.99) and I had a pint of Sam’s summer draft at $ 5.00. Our dinner came to $ 53.00 + tip and wasn’t worth ½ of that! Don’t think we will heading back anytime in the near future. Even to stop in for just a beer is expensive. Too many other choices in the area. Do yourself a favor and take a pass on Mulligan’s.

It is one of those neighborhood taverns where a good meal is to be found. The menu will suit anyone, and the prices are average. The wait staff are always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual and the TV’s are always on to catch a ball game or another sport. Comfortable to go by yourself to get a meal.

Good sandwiches, especially the Cuban panini. Service was ok. Very«southern», especially compared to NYC or north NJ.

Had some ales with Shepard pie that was ok but, not their best this time. My hubby had drunk in pork chops & beer, which he enjoyed. We had peanut butter cake & carrot cake for dessert which were good. The waitress was very helpful & sweet. The prices are very reasonable. We have been eating here for quit some years and always feel at home at Mulligans. Would recommend the place for a nice drink & food.

I love this bar! It has regulars and I can see why! The garlic steak is a must have but warning it is addictive. I love the chicken francese but believe it or not get it with their rice! Yes rice, their rice is the best rice I’ve ever had hands down!!! On wed they have two for one parm you can’t go wrong with that!!! The bar pies are excellent! The servers and bartenders are great and make you feel at home I love coming here!!!

I forgot my key and my family was not home yet and it was the first place I could find that looked like a bar that i could take a load off after My five hour drive to visit family. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere. The outside Is very unassuming and almost looks like it’s a cabin in the woods. I usually am flying solo so I eat at the bar. The bartender was very welcoming and we chatted a bit which is nice when your sitting alone. They have a large beer menu and it’s pretty cheap too. I always get the taco salad because it’s the best one I’ve ever had. It’s in a crispy taco shell bowl and the ingredients are very fresh. Lots of meat in it too which is surprising since it’s not very expensive. I am there during lunch usually and it’s never too busy but I bet it’s a fun place at night to hang out at that big bar. Definetly have to head there one night for a cocktail or two.

I was disappointed with a recent visit to this restaurant. First let me say that I am a waitress, too-so I get it. It was my first time there. Our server Heidi was less than personable. A child of mine dropped a napkin and fork under the table half way through the meal and Heidi seemed annoyed and came over to pick it up(under my table under my foot)-that was just weird. I paid w my cc and forgot to tell her about the text coupon for $ 5 so when I did, she informed me that she couldn’t void the transaction and I could use it at my next visit, «but oh, by the way, that has to be within the next 5 days». After I paid, she immediately cleared the table and grabbed her cash tip while we were still sitting there. I thought that was really rude. The restaurant had no wait, we were maybe one of 3 tables she had. No reason for her to do that. At that point I was annoyed, so I went over and asked her to find a way to refund the $ 5 coupon she should have done for me in the first place(Although I didn’t say ll that-I was nice about it). She says she spoke to her manager who then told her just to give me $ 5 in cash since they had no way to void and re-ring the transaction. Really? I mean, really? Needless to say, not only did I have no desire to be back within 5 days to use my coupon, I have no desire to ever go back again. The food was second best to Subway. Lame customer service. If you’re going to put a $ 5 text coupon on the tables, I would think you’re prepared to allow the customer to use it-even if it takes a cc adjustment. And Heidi just seemed burnt out and utterly annoyed at everything.

This was our second visit to this friendly Irish pub. Service is friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty. We had mussels for appetizer and it was as good as I ever had it, Steak Murphy was good and plenty. Even though we are a 30 minute drive away, we intend to come back.

I have liked this place in the past but am now down on them. Order chicken fingers Togo and was told 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I had to leave to get my daughter somewhere. After I already paid I left with no chicken. No apologies or anything, unreal. Considering it was not all that busy and the amount of kitchen staff standing around I was blown away.

Ordered a Cheeseburger, Medium, with American Cheese, No Pickles & No Onions — The burger was properly cooked, of a good size & on a crunchy roll. The patty itself could have used some additional seasoning. — The burger was topped with the right amount(s) of cheese, lettuce & tomato. — The crinkle-cut fries were lacking in taste. They needed a liberal application of salt, but were fine after that. — The seating was tight, and quite uncomfortable(the chair cushions provided no real cushioning). The atmosphere was agreeable, though.

Wow. Me and my wife have been frequenting this place for the last 3 years, we’re VIP members actually. But for the last 6 months the quality has been on a STEEP decline! I don’t know if they changed managers or cooks or what but it’s officially terrible! The chicken is dry, has a grainy texture and is obviously over frozen. The last time we got pizza it was undercooked and gross and got us sick, and tonight our order of wings had a hair wrapped around the piece my son was eating and my simple order of a cheese burger was overcooked and still had a piece of waxed paper(from the obviously frozen patty) left for me to bite into! This used to be a place we loved but now is certainly a place to be avoided! I’m not sure what happened here but I wish the kitchen would go back to what it was when me and my wife would look foreword to our mulligans meal!

Robert irvine from RI would rip this place apart. I wish he could and maybe there would be some decent food in this area, not just overloaded plates of crap, but apparently that is what the locals like around here, just big portions of bland food.

Up since 6:30 on a Saturday, in the 90+ degree heat from about 9am– 6:30pm, three softball games, a pb&j for lunch… we needed some real food and we needed it fast. No way I was driving all the way. Back home from Howell, NJ before we ate so we took a chance at Mulligan’s. We got there and were seated immediately(thank God there was no wait!). Our waitress descended upon us quickly with her charming smile and was back in about 90 seconds with an ice cold Summer Shandy, a Sprite, and two giant waters. The menu looked pretty good so we put Ina big order… I ordered a cp of crab bisque and a Reuben and my daughter ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and a chicken parm with linguini and marinara. The crab bisque was surprisingly good for a pub… it was a little more savory than I usually would like, but maybe after a long day of watching softball it was what I needed. My daughter’s salad was very good and included lots of chicken(yeah, I ate some-I was paying for it… don’t bust my chops) and some roasted red peppers(odd, but I enjoyed them since she hates them). So far, so good! Got some cold water and beer in me, decent appetizer, I’m getting back to normal… Then the entrees arrived and the wheels came off the bus a bit. The chicken parm was ok, not great, but pretty good. Not too much breading, not too much cheese and a good sized portion. The linguini and marinara were not good, however. The linguini was WAY overcooked and mushy and the marinara was just, well it wasn’t good. And the garlic bread… yuck-more like garlic cardboard. My Reuben was disappointing for an Irish pub… in fact it was just disappointing. The corned beef was very dry and it’s flavor was overpowered by too much sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Truly a shame as I really had higher expectations for the meal. The fries were just your normal previously frozen krinkle cut offering-not bad, but not awesome. The linguini and the reuben are the reason for only three stars… really 2.5, but because we had a really nice waitress who provided excellent service and pretty good starters I’ll bump it to three. By the way-pretty good beer selection here and the bartenders seemed to be really engaging and knew the regulars. I bet if I lived down here and stuck to the bar and normal pub fare this would be a 4 star review… unfortunately I can only review my actual experience.

Mulligans is an all-around staple. Food is good, not great, but for the most part very consistent. I have eaten many of the menu items and generally you get what you’d expect to get. When we visit Mulligans we always make sure to ask for Colleen or Cici, they offer top-notch service and are always friendly. Both are masters of their trade and make you want to come back. If you are willing to spend a couple of bucks check out the NY strip garlic steak, traditionally quite good.

I’ll have to admit, my expectations weren’t very high for Mulligan’s but I’m glad I was proven wrong with their decent menu and beer selections. I ate the open-faced turkey sandwich with a side of fries, all covered in gravy. Yum. Plus, they had Cherry Wheat on tap. Double yum. Lastly, the service was spectacular by both bartenders, as they both willingly helped with local directions. Great job ladies! Great to know this place is so close!
