I have to put in the disclaimer that I have only been here once. We are passing through and not local. I’ve been trying to indicate in my reviews how often I’ve been somewhere because I think it makes a difference. I’m giving 5 stars but keep in mind, its a bar, and they deserve 5 stars as a bar. They aren’t trying to be anything else. Beer selection great! 25 choices for a local bar is impressive. Appetizers were typical bar apps, nothing fancy. However the chicken tenders were clean and cooked perfect, as were the mozzarella sticks and potato skins. In keeping with the bar theme we ordered a pint and sandwiches. Pulled pork was tasty, fries are excellent and portions are generous. I’m not sure if this was the regular price or if it was happy hour but the beer was only $ 5 a pint, and for craft beer that’s pretty good. Coffee was fresh, service was excellent and they kept the table clear and were very attentive.

Thought we’d give it another shot(no pun intended) & went to see a band. Nothing’s has changed since my original review. Actually I take that back, things have gotten worse. Watched a couple wait for no less than 15 minutest before getting acknowledged as the two bartenders(same as last time) just leaned up against the cooler & bs-ed with each other. Then I watched 2 men separately get ignored. It took one of them to start waving his hands in the air to get their attention. Prices are outrageously high! A pint glass of gin & tonic is $ 11. C’mon now, we are not in Manhattan. Ridiculously horrible bartenders. Don’t come for the drinks or good service(at least on Saturday nights) you will leave thirsty & disappointed!!! There only saving grace is the talented bands! First time & last time! If it wasn’t for the great band playing I would not have stayed as long as I did. Bartenders were horrendous! I think I would have had to have done a split on the bar to get their attention for a drink because obviously my empty glass & money on the bar wasn’t enough to grab their attention. They weren’t even close to being busy enough to justify such inattentiveness. Great band, horrible service.

Great place for a burger and a beer, or three. They have a nice selection of beers which could be expanded and their offerings for appetizers and sandwiches is quite nice. My experience is only at the bar, eating with the guys but their dinner menu looks nice. Located in Farmingdale, off of I-195, Woody’s is a nice spot for a light bite. Don’t try to get in on any kind of game day, however, since they get crowded quickly.

I have been dining at Woody’s for over fifteen years. The atmosphere suits me as it has a down home country and community feel to it. We go as a family on special occasions. Family favorites include the burgers, chilli, wraps and specials. They also have a great selection of craft beers to sample. Woody’s always satisfies without breaking the bank.!!

Sucks… food order took too long for a simple cheese burger… food was colder than the beer!

I went here with my brother and I have to say, I enjoyed this place. I had the Philly Cheese Stake wile my brother had the Pulled Pork. We both liked our food. The staff was polite and attentive yet, not constantly in your face. It was a great place to grab a quick sandwich. The vibe of the place is great too. Next time I’m down in Jersey, I’ll be back. I also liked the QR code that gets you 10% off your meal that they have on their table.

We live near the Howell/Brick border, and sometimes we just don’t want to bother with the Brick Plaza traffic. But Rivoli’s(Ramtown) food is garbage, and Mulligans is awfully small. Where else can we go? You go here, that’s where. Great beer selection; if you want craft beer, in Ramtown/Farmingdale, you’re basically coming here. So many beers, they’re divided on the menu by style(Ale, Lager, etc). They do not skimp on the food; my burger was bigger than I expected for the $ 11 price, and cooked very well. Again, you shouldn’t get a medal for successfully cooking a medium-well burger, but in this area it’s surprisingly uncommon, so it warrants a mention. The décor is nicer than I expected inside too, with several TV sets on the walls watching games. We’re not a «hang at the bar» couple though; we head out for a beer and dinner, and we go home. Especially during the summer when Brick Plaza turns into a log-jammed ant farm, Woody’s will become our go-to dinner spot. Even off-season, given the beer selection, this place deserves a look.

Dropped here recently and was really let down. Woodys used to be my favorite place in the world for nachos but at some point with the new owners must have changed their champion staple item. :(the nachos used to be covered w chicken, chili, guac, fresh chips n cheese. I used to look forward to it. The new version has no guac, or chili… Was a total let down. Used to come here w my family since I was a teenager. Don’t think we will be returning. Def miss the old woodys, Ken and the gang.

Met my Uncle at Woody’s. It was a great atmosphere. Waitresses were helpful and nice. Food was good. I had the boneless chicken with BBQ sauce. Plenty of TV’s to watch the game and a good selection of beers. The live music was nice as well

It’s a Monday afternoon so no more than 10 people in the restaurant. …yet the food was cold, not the correct order, and the waitress was barely half decent. The garlic bread that came with the special wasn’t cooked, when asked for more it cake burnt. The chili was ice cold, the wrap was asked to come with a white tortilla and it was wheat, the child’s cheeseburger was raw inside and when it came back out it was the same burger on a new bun… but it was just turned so that the raw cut part was done but the rest of the burger was raw. Disgusting! The waffle fries were undercooked and came 20 minutes after the rest of the meal. The dessert didn’t have the syrup or cherries it was supposed to come with. We were over charged for things that should have come with the meal. It was just disgusting. We sat outside where many others had to move inside because of the 100s of bees, ants, and flies. Many complained… no one listened. I WOULDNEVERRECOMMENDTHISRESTAURANT!!! It’s awful and overpriced for the wrong meals!

Amazing wings! The new owners made great changes to the place. Much brighter and warmer inside. Even though it’s a bar, there’s something cozy and warm about this place.

Went last night for the first time.. . this is one of those places where the overwhelming size of the menu makes decisions on what to eat more complicated than it needs to be. The calamari and pirogue s were decent, and we hung around after dinner for a few drinks and were treated to some decent live music. The crowd seemed pretty local, it was a nice atmosphere.

I dined at Woody’s with a large group of people. We all arrived at the same time, creating a little chaos. Woody’s staff took it all in stride. They sat us promptly, got right to work and handled everything like the pro’s they are. We went crazy ordering a bunch of food. The appetizers were great nachos, chicken wings, etc, and I had a burger that ranks with some of the best ever. I also shared a few bites of various dishes from my friends and everything was done to perfection. What really sticks in my mind, however, was how well the wait staff handled the sudden rush of people. The crew is a terrific group of young people who were extremely polite, sociable and friendly. Everyone I was with made mention of how impressed they all were. While it’s a casual place, we got five-star, white glove service. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Enjoy!

This place is awesome! Went here last night for my bfs bday with his family. During dinner they had a cool trivia game going and everyone was participating and competing with each other. The food was great. I got the chicken francese and it was just perfect. Everyone loved their food and for dinner for 6 with everyone drinking our bill wasn’t outrageous. I would definitely go back.

its a shame we have to cross this place off our«go to local restaurant«list we often went here for great humble food but I don’t know what happen as we had the worst food ever here this past Thursday night . Over cooked and dryed out wings and ribs — slow service, but not do to the waitress, she was great, tiny drinks and they had a trivia quiz DJ that was blasted through the entire restaurant —

Stopped in here last week with my co-worker for lunch and I’m glad we did because I have another destination to bike this summer. In short, it was everything I expected from great bar. Two criteria which I needed were met; an impressive craft beer selection and a menu with choices other than usual bar fare. Beyond that, the guy working behind the bar was friendly and attentive even while working a decent lunch crowd. Cannot over state how prompt and friendly the staff was. Okay so I went with the wings, hear me out though. When I go to a new restaurant I like to try to the chicken wings because I think they are a good compass of judging the quality of the rest of the items on the menu. If a place has enough pride in their standard fare like wings, the rest of the menu is worth visiting. They offered a grilled option which I wish more places did(trying to watch the girlish figure). As usual, I ordered them ‘as hot as you can make em’ and Woody’s didn’t pull any punches. in fact they called my bluff. They were so deliciously flammable that I almost couldn’t finish. Well played Woody’s. I look forward to coming back when it warms up just a bit, as the patio outside looked like a great way to enjoy the summer evenings.

I went for a late night dinner after work. The bar area was busy. We were seated in the separate dining room. I felt bad for the few families that were still there since we were a semi-rowdy group of 5. The server was awesome. She always made sure we were okay with drinks — we didn’t have to flag her down once for a refill. She took to our humor well which is always a plus as we aren’t always PC. The food was good too. I ordered the chicken portobello sandwich… with sweet potato fries. Delish. My friend ordered a turkey burger which he liked. I thought the prices were good for the food and drinks. It didn’t take long for the food to come out which was good because we were starving and can get cranky when it takes a while.

I have been to Woody’s several times for lunch. I have always enjoyed the atmosphere, the salad bar, & the food in general. The service is terrific and always with a smile. I had been introduced to Woody’s by a friend, and we love it. Saturday night my husband went for the 1st time and he had the Nacho’s and was not disappointed. I had the salad bar, which I usually have. Potato salad, seafood salad, cole slaw, and so much more with many choices of dressing’s. Plus, the onion soup, never a disappointment. One of my favorites, and I order onion soup most places. My daughter had ribs and they were delectable. The over all bill for 5 and a child was around $ 80. Not bad and my husband had a couple of beers. 2 thumbs up.
