Very pleased that the fair oaks area has gotten a nicer restaurant. I am always pleased with the menu here as well as the service. The waiters are always attentive, prompt and very well informed about their menu. Kim and Kerston are the best however I enjoy the entire staff.

We came here for brunch after church. The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. I had the classic breakfast and my friend had one of their excellent Benedict dishes. I agree with the other reviewers that the drink prices are pretty steep — good thing I don’t drink! Just a note that my eggs were ordered over easy and they were definitely over-done; however, everything was so delicious I forgot to mention anything to the waitress. This is a great local haunt with a nice, intimate atmosphere.

My husband and I LOVE Fabian’s! Especially Wine Wednesday… We’ve had a number of things on their menu over the years and have loved all of them. It’s a quiet romantic place, perfect for a date night. Beautiful patio to sit on when the weather permits. Their Lavender Limoncello is my favorite. I highly recommend Fabians for brunch, lunch or dinner! You can’t go wrong…

This place is so good! My husband and I like to pick places we have never been before now and then so this came up in our Unilocal inquiry. Italian food is a favorite of mine so, I may be a little hard to win over at times, not here, this food was so great. I had the Ricotta/Spinach Ravioli in a lemon cream sauce(if your mouth is not watering, it should be), my husband had the Eggplant Lasagna, he said it was excellent. We were very impressed with the Cheese Board they offered, we have had many of these and this is currently our pick for the best in town. Lovely atmosphere and we were told that the patio is used in the Spring/Summer months. We will definitely be back, the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Had a wonderful evening tonight with my wife. We started with the crab cakes and split a Caesar. Both were very well presented and very tasty. We then ordered our main courses, the lasagna and the chicken piccata. Once again, both were well presented and very good. We ended the evening with the bourbon bread pudding. It was wonderful. Overall summation of the evening, great environment(elegant and comfortable), great food and we will be going back!

We really enjoyed Fabian’s. Excellent service. Nice variety on the menu(some alternatives to basic Italian). Good sized portion. Nice atmosphere. Definitely will go back, especially when it’s warm enough to eat outside.

I always love a good home made pasta and the fact that the chef accommodated all of my weird vegetarian requests seals the deal. I wanted a smattering of their sides and they whipped up EXACTLY what my tastebuds were dreaming of. Farm to fork veggies over a bed of fluffy polenta. Every dish Ive had here from brunch to dinner has been delicious. The ingredients are fresh and flavors will please your palette.

Another fabulous meal at this first class restaurant. The service is impeccable only surpassed by the fantastic food. This place is a gem, casual but classy and always totally satisfying. As close to Italy as you will find in this area.

This is a very wonderful restaurant! The staff is very friendly and all of them greet you as you walk in. We went in for brunch on a Sunday and it was out of this world food! The champagne they serve is delicious, too. Definitely a hidden secret and gem. I can’t wait to return for dinner!

So far the tomato basil soup and the rosemary bread, delicious! Had the flight of bourbon, great. Looking forward to the salad. Elegant courtyard with perfect amount of lighting to set the mood. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely, positively WONDERFUL!!! This is my favorite Sacramento Italian experience. Been to all of ‘em: Biba’s, Il Fornaio, Il Forno, Visconti’s, etc. etc. and I’ve been blessed to have dined in many regions of Italy. Fabian’s is true, seasonal Italian food at its freshest & finest. Love the owners and all they do to make it ambient, warm and friendly. TIP: The outdoor patio dining is gorgeous, we held my sister’s bridal shower there and it was fantastic! It’s especially lit-up and romantic at night!

Ok. I’ve been coming since they opened. Always very good. But… The last two times were great! Equal to great f2f meals downtown if not better. In fact better because the people were friendlier and the bill kinder to my wallet. Don’t miss it.

Anyone who has ever read one of my reviews knows I have a literal obsession with restaurants who make their own pasta. I almost refuse to eat anything else. This is the sole reason why I chose to come to Fabian’s; they make their own ravioli. Yes. THEYMAKETHEIROWNRAVIOLI. And it’s Vegetarian. If that’s not reason enough to go, then keep reading. I came in around 5:30 on a weekday to partake in Happy Hour and have some dinner with a few other Unilocalers. Unfortunately it was too hot to eat on their expansive(shady) patio, so we found seats at the bar. They have a small selection of beers on tap, but it’s enough. A good variety of choices that I didn’t find that they needed to have any more. I also quickly found out that they have Pliny the Elder in bottles in one of the refrigerators under the counter but only if you ask. I obviously had one. To start we ordered the Blistered Shishito Peppers which were good, simple, and came with a nice aioli sauce. A nice light and healthy way to start the meal. For my entrée I had their homemade Cheese Ravioli which came with a delicious lemon cream sauce. They were amazing. Very very close to my favorite ravioli at a restaurant in Sacramento. Freakin amazing. I have been craving them ever since and would come back just for these. Service was good and the place got quite busy for a weekday evening. It’s located in a small shopping center so parking is easy. The crowd is definitely on the older side(I was easily the youngest one there by many years) but that’s just how I like it. I will be back. Hopefully soon.

Have been back three times in the last three months. So glad to see Fabian’s has turned things around. Have gone for happy hour and sat outside in the beautiful patio and shared some appetizers and wonderful cocktails. Went for dinner with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the wait staff was friendly, upbeat and helpful. Went two days ago for brunch and it was fantastic. The homemade cinnamon rolls(share it you get two!!) is a must try. So hot, fresh and tasty. Not overly sweet like cinnamon rolls have a tendency to get… can’t wait to go back for more!

They changed the menu since our last visit. Couple of new Benedict’s. I went for the Turkey club. She had the Caprese Benedict. Both are good, but since tomatoes are coming in to season get the Caprese.

First time trying this hidden jewel. Everything was great! Food, service and atmosphere. Had the caprese salad and flourless chocolate cake. One word –yum! Our server Jeremy did a wonderful job. Will definitely come back!

I’ve lived in the area for quite a few years(a couple years not) and didn’t know this place was here. I remember a smaller deli-ish kind of place but apparently grew into this restaurant about 5 years ago. It was recommended we try. Nice ambiance with dark and warm feel inside. There’s a bar as you enter(towards the leftish) and the main dining area to the right with lots of windows. There are booths and tables. It looks like there’s a seasonal outside area but not in the winter. It was an early evening meal after a busy day. We opted for some cocktails and appetizers(skipping main courses). My usual Grey Goose & Tonic with lime. She opted for the Limoncello Gimlet(yah, the one with the single big ice cube). She later moved on to her Extra Dirty Martini. For our feast, we chose the Sausage Stuffed Fried Olives, Crab Cakes, and the Antipasti. I needed some veg so I also got the side size Caesar, with anchovie, of course. The fried olives are interesting. I’m not into goat cheese but I am wiling to try. To goat-cheese-y for me but she liked them noting they are ‘rich.’ The crab cakes were good where my wife felt they were a bit fishy but she ate two anyway. The antipasti board came with some honey drizzled almonds, black and green olives, some cheese and some meats, and bruschetta. The ‘other’ bread didn’t make it to the table. Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake; dense and rich. Overall, the food was good. I’d say the food prices are ok(for what we had) and the drinks seems a bit pricey; $ 9 each for her gimlet and my vodka tonic, the martini ran a steeper $ 13. Our total meal and drinks ran $ 88. We will return and on the next visit, we want to slide into a main course or two.
