Silver Dragon Chinese Restaurant

This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The egg rolls and dumplings were greasy. Our food was just gross. Nothing tasted authentic. The fried rice was greasy and bland. The Kung pow chicken was supposed to give star, it had no spice. The orange chicken was soggy. The almond chicken was OK but a little bland. Not to mention the staff barely spoke English. Our order was wrong. I’ve had better quality food in the international district or even Panda Express. I’m disappointed because people in the Mill Creek Community group recommend it as the best in the area. Boy were they wrong. Word of advice, skip this place at all cost.

The price of this restaurant is on average and dishes look fantastic. My favourite food is dim sum, pan-​fried dumpling and almond shrimps. I am eating shrimp professor and I found that this restaurant offers one of the best almond shrimps around Seattle. The environment of this restaurant is clean and tidy.

Food portions were too small. Food served luke warm, and Restaurant was freezing! Customers wearing coats, and using blankets!
Won’t come back. Don’t recommend!!!

Best place for chinese food! The hot and sour soup is my favorite out of all the other ones I’ve tried before! My favorite is the sesame chicken! Just perfect cooked! The owner is very nice and always recognize us when we come back (I guess we’ve been going there a lot! Lol!). My favorite Chinese place! Lunch hour prices are the best!

Ordered delivery based on reviews, never again. When you are used to really good Chinese food (mandarin kitchen in Des Moines WA) this place didn’t even come close. Fried rice, pot stickers, sweet and sour pork, almond fried chicken, general tsos all yuck. Won’t eat here again. I will say order and delivery was fine.

This place offers a solid value during lunch hours. My Mongolian beef was delicious and my friend’s cashew chicken looked amazing. Will definitely be returning.

Well, my wife and I have been patronizing Silver Dragon since we move to Everett in 2000. Frankly, the food has been good sometimes and not so good other times, very uneven. I went there today after a 2 year hiatus. The food was just awful, worse than ever, and it was over-​priced. We like supporting local businesses, but I think the next time we want Chinese food; we’ll go to Panda Express. AVOID this place…

I think I need to take a break from this place. It was empty when my mom and I got there and we ordered some seafood plates and the veggies weren’t cooked at all. They were raw and they do rip you off when you order a seafood meal. You get one shrimp and one scallop and the rest was chicken. They weren’t busy so I don’t know what happened. The waiter was our same waited we’ve had and he’s nice. I like him. It was just our food that wasn’t good this time.

this restaurant has the worst customer service driver ever .we ordered 65.00 dollars in food we went to check out what was sent us for 1 minute and yelled at my wife .this was the 1^st and last time i order from them and the food does not taste that good… stay away

STEER CLEAR! The food is HORRIBLE and the delivery service is even WORSE. The delivery guy showed up, wouldn’t get out of the car because a 4 lb toy poodle was in the yard with a 14 year old shepard, both of whom are no threat. I got the dogs, he was yelling at me. I couldn’t understand what he was saying. He finally got out of the car after the dogs were in, brought the food, and shoved the M/​C slip at me. I told him I would sign it once I checked my order, which would only take about 1 minute. HE SCREAMED AT ME FOR THE ENTIRE MINUTE I CHECKED MY ORDER THAT HE HAD OTHER DELIVERIES AND I WAS WASTING HIS TIME. We ordered nearly $ 70.00 worth of food! And, then… the food SUCKED! It was tasteless, and greasy. The fried rice had huge greasy clumps of white rice. YUCK! We have been ordering from the Golden Café for about 5 years now. The food is fantastic, the delivery service the best, and the people there are the nicest you will ever deal with! NEVER AGAIN SILVER DRAGON! I only tried you because the Golden Café is closed on Sundays. Note to self: never get take out Chinese on Sunday!

We have never had a bad meal here –we have been in and out of here many times and the food is great and service as well. Its better than most Chinese restaurants in the area, and we can count on the same food every time we go there. The food is fresh and it is family friendly

The people that run and manage this place are terrible. We have come in here a quite a few times and we always place the same order. We pay a different price every time. It fluctuates. I even brought in a receipt to prove that we had been overcharged and the lady made a terrible excuse. Trying to say I must have ordered something different, when the receipt clearly states what I ordered and the amount I was charged. It’s almost an ongoing joke with my husband and I. Like guess how much the order will be tonight honey? The menu states one price, but when the bill comes it will be padded. The only reason we kept coming back was because it was convenient to my dry cleaners and our home. But the final straw was when we placed a $ 30 order for delivery and she told me it wasn’t enough money to do delivery. My family is home sick, or I would go pick it up myself. But we have been loyal customers despite the fact we feel we always get scammed. I won’t be ordering from there again. These people have no regard for their customers. They would loose a regular customer over $ 1. What a joke. Save yourself some time and money and go to one of the ten other Chinese restaurants around Everett.

So I normally don’t go out to eat but to night was something special. My Party and I went to a couple of different location to find them over crowded. We happened on Silver Dragon. I was instantly greeted at the door and the staff was friendly and helpful. My waitress was amazing and friendly, got our order right and our food was there so quick it was like they knew what we were going to before we every stepped in the door. We all enjoyed the service and look forward to eating there again.
Please note: I have a food allergy and made them aware of it and the made sure my food was prepared properly for me as well.

After reviewing the restaurant on Unilocal I called to place an order for delivery. Thinking I was going to get great food and service I ordered 4 of the lunch specials for delivery. Waiting longer than the time quoted, the driver finally called for the correct address, then he started to scold me for giving the wrong address. Why would I do this since I paid for the food? My guest answered the door only to receive the drivers chastising over the wrong address. I am surprised he still received a tip.
My guest and I are ill grateful to the establishments who has delivery service.
Thinking I would give the restaurant another chance I attempted place order to go, calling the restaurant to order lunch specials before 3:00 pm cut off. Only to my dismay to get a women to argue the lunch specials could not be ordered for delivery. Stating the lunch specials are for pick up or restaurant service only. I had advised the Silver Dragon’s online menu does not state you cannot order them for delivery. Then I had to plea (several times) I have called before the 3:00 pm lunch special cut off. Then employee went into the address error, still giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt I explain there must have been an error in the communication. This did not phase her. Throughout our conversation I had an explained I was unable to drive due to a disability and pick up the order. She continued to stand firm with no customer service or any empathy for different particular class of humankind.
It would have been treasure to find another establishment to patron. I was only sampling their establishment as an alternative to the establishment I have patron for many years (since they are closed for a few weeks) on 19^th in Silver Lake/​Everett. I would not patron this restaurant nor would I recommend Silver Dragon Chinese Restaurant to anyone. Their lack of customer service, delivery service, and empathy for customers is what gives this establishment their poor rating!

Good, clean, reasonable price. I have been here twice now and find it «a notch above» most. They are very accommodating. If the item you want is not on the «to go» menu, they will still make it «Togo».

Amazing! Actual sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice! And when I requested pineapples in the rice as well they didn’t have any problem throwing it in there for me! :D

It’s a convenient location for «filler», but completely unremarkable.

Absolutely my favorite. We go every Friday for lunch! Recommend the hot and sour soup. Staff is wonderful and restaurant is very clean. Great for dinner too.

I have gotten takeout from Silver Dragon several times as I live within 10 minutes and it’s on the way home. I can’t say I am often overly impressed but being that I’ve been back with the variety of nearby options should say something.
The other day we had orange beef, garlic chicken, and chow mein. The orange beef was a new dish for me as I often get orange chicken. The wife ordered something different. It was quite good and even better when I got down to the extra saucy bits. The garlic chicken was also very good. Not overly garlic or onion and seemed to be pretty much all white meat.
The rice and the chow mein were sub-​par. The restaurant is often not overly busy but seems to have a fairly steady takeout business. The rice told me it was a slow night… Overly dry and lacked any flavor. We had both white/​steamed and fried. Neither impressed much. The chow mein fell into a similar boat. It had almost no flavor and mostly tasted like oil. There was some form of rejected vegetables in there (bad bean sprouts or carrot root offshoots or something) that made me a wee bit scared to continue.
The hot and sour soup was tasty. Just the right amount of tofu, bamboo shoots, and fungi for me. I would have this again. The egg rolls (seemed more like what I would consider a spring roll) were good but a bit on the greasy side. A few minutes in a paper towel served them well.
Overall it was an ok experience. I would say this was more of a 2-​star night but I’ve also had some 4-​star experiences. A 3-​star rating seems to fit nicely.

OMG! They deliver… I live outside of their delivery radius and they charge me an extra $ 2 for delivery. SOLD! My wife and I order about once per week for delivery. They always tell us it will take 45 minutes but then they show up 30 minutes later. :-)
We typically order the Beef & Broccoli, S&S Chicken and Almond Chicken and have been pleased with it each time. We are not fans of the Hot and Spicy or egg drop soup but for $ 0.50 more you can get Won Ton which is really good. We also get a side or of their homemade Pot stickers. Beware that these are larger than your average store bought pot stickers and are very good too.
In the past we have ordered the family dinners but have now switched to ordering individual meals. It’s cheaper and you get more food this way. No to mention when you order the family meal they only send 3 pieces of the bbq pork.
I recommend the Silver Dragon Restaurant :-)
