Ok this review is why I downloaded the Unilocal app. My three little girls and I went here tonight. We arrived at 6:00 and didn’t get our food until 730. It is now 830 and we just got home. We ordered: chicken fried rice(it was pretty good). One of the girls ordered orange chicken(again pretty good). My other girl ordered sweet and sour pork(again pretty good). We also ordered chow mein noodles, they were cold and not fresh at all they were like soggy and stuck together. My youngest child ordered the broccoli beef and let me tell you it was ABSOLUTELYDISGUSTING. The beef had the weirdest texture it was like a rubber and fat combination. I told the lady, named Judy that it was really bad and that we didn’t want it(we hadn’t touched but one piece of the beef) and she told me: «Everyone ordered the beef and broccoli today and everyone loves it, maybe if you go home and cook it some more then you will like it». I told her it Taste like rubber. I am not a beef expert but it was NOT beef! I don’t know what it was but it was really chewy. I asked her to just take it back that we liked everything else and she said no that we had to pay for it. We left the full plate of broccoli beef on the table. I love Chinese food and decided to step out of our box and give the panda café a try. BIG mistake. I think we will stick to Hunans and Lius Chinese food because we never go wrong there. On top of it all we ordered waters and never got any refills. Anyway, if you do go to this place, avoid the broccoli beef at all costs. In fact avoid the beef at this place, period.

Panda Café is always clean, friendly, speedy and extremely hospitable. The food is always fresh, crisp and hot. If the the ingredients are not to par they will take dishes off of the menu. This is truly a great place to dine-in, or take out. Love them!

Went here with my mom the other day and it was actually pretty good– especially in comparison to other local Chinese places! He ingredients are fresh and the owners are sweet! Will definitely be returning when I’m craving Chinese.

Came here with my sis after a nasty bout with that stomach flu that’s going around. We shared the large phở and mild orange chicken. The phở was so filling, tons of bean sprouts and noodles green onions and I think some Thai basil. The broth was light and infused with garlic and onion. Meat was very tender and flavorful. The orange chicken was so good! Served piping hot with plenty of sauce and rice and broccoli. Service was amazing as well. Judy was our server and she was so helpful and all around nice and the chef came out to bring us our food! Smiles all around, we will def be coming back again.

Take out, good for the fried stuff(general tso’s, etc) but not so much for anything else. Broccoli beef had the strangest textured beef – poached??? The quest for decent Chinese food in Humboldt continues!

My first bad review ever, but it had to be done. This was the worst meal I have ever received at a restaurant. My friend and I both ordered the broccoli beef, and I’m not even sure it was beef… the«beef» was like a marriage between rubber and a slab of fat. We were unable to even eat it. And the flavor was not good on that or anything else on our plates. I was disappointed because I had heard good things… definitely wouldn’t go back.

We went here again and it is inconsistent. The wanton soup was still delicious but we ordered all white meat orange chicken. The meat was dry. Almost like it was reconstituted chicken jerky! Not worthy hectors money we paid for chicken breast.

Place looks a bit drab from outside but is better from inside. Service was nice, but the hot and sour soup was too vinegary, and the beef in Mongolian beef was really strange.

Great, made to order, Chinese food at very reasonable prices. The lunch specials are the best! This place is definitely not high-end, and the décor is pretty lacking, but the food and prices make up for it. Great place for those on a college budget!

I can’t say it was the best Chinese food but I will acknowledge the freshness of each dish. Recommend the House Chow Mein.

Exactly perfect greasy American Chinese food. Cheap, huge portions, reasonable price. I got the orange chicken, which I ordered«extra spicy», and it came out with some heat. Even had little chile peppers in it. The little gal that took my take-out order was very friendly and even gave me a free glass of ice water while I waiting. I noticed they had a nice big bar and sold cheap macro brews. Next time I go back I’m going to eat at the bar and get well lit. It’s a one stop shop!

I’m so glad I stumbled to this Chinese Restaurant. Great fresh food. Everything I ordered was freshly made. I’m an extremely picky eater so for me to give this place 5 stars on the food, the meat was good and it was made with freshly cut vegetables. The place itself I’m not rating I’m only rating the food.

Yuck. The food was old and dried out like it had been sitting around fur days. Never again.

Worse Chinese food we ever ate. We did take out tonight and threw most of it away. Disgusting. We will never return.

We had the shrimp chowmein, shrimp fried rice and orange beef. All excellently done. Everything is light and tastes. Not overly rich. Just good Chinese fair.

Tried this place for the first time tonight & was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the orange chicken, veggie chow mein, fried wontons, szechwan(sp?) pork & fries for the kiddo. All the food was very good. No mystery meat.(& I’m very picky about what meat I eat.) Fresh veggies. Reasonable prices. Everyone working there was super friendly. The place was nothing fancy, but clean & comfortable. We will definitely go back.

This place was intriguing. The cook was wearing a Panda Express uniform shirt, which I found weird. Was this place once a Panda Express? I’m not sure. It certainly looked like a fast-food building, so perhaps it was. Did the guy just work at one? Is that where the recipes came from? Who knows! The orange chicken I ordered was pretty good, but a bit weird — though this could simply be a regional taste thing… I’m not from California, so maybe this is how it’s done there. I did find it interesting that when I ordered it, they gave me the option of «mild, medium, spicy, or super spicy». I went with medium, having never been here before and not knowing what was what. Medium was pretty spicy, so I don’t know what super spicy would’ve been like. The employees were friendly, and the food came out fast. It was pretty average overall.
