Great pizza! Place is fun and memorable from the décor to the extreme ski videos they play on the tvs. Very accommodating. Had a group of about 25, gave almost no notice. We didn’t have to wait and our food came quickly.

Pizza… Great! Wings… Great! Chicken Fingers… Great! This is a great place to eat. Everything is great, atmosphere, service, and food. We started with the fried pickles which were the best I’ve ever had. Then the fam split the above mentioned items and my parents split the kitty melt which they said was amazing. Then to top it off, the bill for all 6 of us was under $ 60. Will definitely eat here next time I’m down here.

Home for the holidays and looking for something good on the Saturday night after Thanksgiving that wasn’t more turkey and mashed potatoes. Found Depot restaurant on Unilocal and decided to check it out. Had wings and one of the specialty pizzas(Green Monster), and some beer. Well cooked wings that were crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. Pizza was similar to a thin crust pizza, equally as delicious. Beer was cheap!($ 5 pint of Guinness, $ 4 other beers). Waitress was attentive and helpful. Overall a great post-Thanksgiving evening. Would come back next time I’m in town for the holidays or for skiing.

Skied with friends on a Friday at holiday valley. Closed out ski resort and went looking for food after. Visited half a dozen restaurants & pubs to find that only a very limited menu(if any) was offered. Spent almost an hour finding food and ended up at depot. Pizza was good, wings were good, fish & chips were good. We didn’t starve — thank you! P. s.- lots of drunk people at 11pm. Actually surprised at how drunk they were. Must be — eat dinner at 6 pm, get drunk by 8pm?

I have been skiing at Holiday valley since 1963 and it is still considered the Aspen of the Midwest. Great skiing and a town with nightlife and good choice of bars and restaurants. The Depot is one of those places you have to go to to experience some good food and drink in an atmosphere that is cool! The owners have become friends over the years and embrace the eclectic view of a ski town bar and restaurant! Ski movies on most of the time. Location is to die for, just across the street from the ski area! A bit of history for you. The depot used to be in town. It was moved to the present location by another area restaurant owner who also owns a construction company. He eventually sold it to the present owners. Food is good but yes it is bar food. You go there for the entire package and it’s also a great place to take larger groups because they can handle those groups with a bunch of 10 top tables! Kids have a nice time and so do families! Owners nickname is Moose, so the moose on the wall is there for a reason. Next time you are there make sure to stop in have a bite and some drinks, watch some videos and pretend you are in Aspen. CHEERS!!!

This place didn’t really do it for me. Mike H. and I had totally different experiences on the same visit(s). Location is about the only saving grace. And the Stones décor. There are about a dozen bars I’d choose before returning to this place. Pizza had canned mushrooms(I hate that!). Chicken wings were nothing to write home aboot. And the lines on the beer taps desperately needed to be cleaned. I tried two different beers that left me with a gritty, dirty after taste. A dive should be recognizable by the smell, sight, and feel of it — not the taste.

Dive bars are some of my favorite places on earth. Dive bars that I can walk to after a full day of snowboarding are as close as it gets to perfect. They had cold Molson on tap and a ton of cool Rolling Stones stuff all over the walls. The pizza and wings hit the spot and is a nice alternative to eating overpriced ski resort food. It’s hard not to respect any bar with a condom dispenser in the bathroom, you know you’re in for a good time!

Was fine, but nothing special. Typical fare for a roadhouse. The decoration is something to behold — very interesting place. Service was less than inspired. Stall in men’s restroom has no door, which we found a bit bizarre. I would recommend this place if you are staying near the Holiday Valley resort, since you can easily walk there.

Ordered their pizzas for 15 after skiing Holiday Valley. The restaurant may have okay reviews but their pizza is by far the worst we have ever had. Mostly bread and very limited cheese and toppings-and this is saying something for a starving group of skiers. Terrible! Don’t make the mistake of getting pizza to go here! I wouldn’t take the time to write this review if I didn’t think I was doing a much needed public service. Drive out of town and get ANYTHING better! Hope this helps!

The wife and I were staying across the road at Holiday Valley and decided to give this a try. We mainly chose this establishment because it was within walking distance from where we were staying. We went last Saturday and the place was crowded. As others have said, there were too many children running around. Food and service were ok.

Cold Beer, Great Wings, and a hole in the wall feel. I love how they play the 1980’s Warren Miller ski films while you eat. This place was once an old train station and now a food and drink spot. The only issue I have is lately alot more children and families will be in there on weekend nights. Dad more your son of the bar stool so I can sit down and have a beer.

I have a list of places where I have to eat when I go home to WNY. I go to Sandy’s Bakery and Sprague’s Maple Farm for any meal I can get, Watson’s Chocolate for sponge candy, Cuba Cheese Shop for cheese curd, Hogies for a steak sub, Renna’s for pizza, Beef and Barrel for a beef on weck, Madigan’s for a Blue and the Depot is where I get my wings. The Depot is located a little outside of town and has more of an open floor plan than the bars downtown, so it doesn’t feel quite so crowded, even when it’s packed to the gills. The menu is typical bar food for the most part and it’s a fun atmosphere with crazy shit all over the walls, ceiling and floor(especially around Christmastime). Outside of tourist season the hours of operation get a little sketchy. I would definitely recommend calling ahead to make sure they’re open before heading over. The four stars are for nostalgia; if I were a tourist going there for the first time, I would probably give it three.

This place has a unique, cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Those are the high points. Where else are you going to find a former train station that has been converted into a shrine to the Rolling Stones? Because that’s what this place is. From the posters on the wall to the photographs of Mick Jagger to the stained-glass trademark Lips-and-Tongue, this place worships the Rolling Stones and plays them constantly. Other classic rock acts(Fleetwood Mac, etc) are also occasionally played, either on the stereo or the big-screen TV showing concert DVDs. Oh yeah, they serve pizza. It’s okay, nothing to rave about. For what is essentially a bar, the liquor, beer and wine selection is pretty horrible, especially by Upstate New York standards. I would expect a local brew, of which there are some amazing choices, but no. You’re getting Bud Lite.

We ate here twice on a recent ski trip. The first time was take away, and it was not so good. But, while we picked it up, we saw lots of people enjoying it, and the food in looked a lot better. So, we went back. The wings, if you ask for them wet, were very nice. And the pizza was ok too. Not great, but pretty good. The beer was cold. There is a lot of crap on their walls. Including: a moose head, an upside down lawn deer, and a boar target for arrow practice. They show ski movies, some say, on a big screen TV, but we saw snowmobile movies while we ate. We would go back for sure if we wanted wings and pizza.
