Beauty Sense Nails and Spa

I was in the city for a business meeting for a couple days and after I was finish with everything. I had a extra day till my next flight home. So, I spent the whole day exploring Ellicott, shopping and what not and I found this salon. Decided to treat myself and went in. First impression of this salon is just WOW! It’s very spotless and spacious. Also, no bugs what so ever roaming around. Also, the nail techs working here are very pleasant and sociable. They were talking and laughing with the other customers. Didn’t had to wait long till one of the nail techs, Tracy, came and walked me to her station. Even though it was really packed and I came in without a appointment. Tracy was really gentle with me throughout the manicure and made sure i was comfortable at the her station. She removed the cuticles from my nails and reshaped my nails without a problem. Throughout the whole process, she never once cut or pierce my skin. Which was a bonus! (some of the past salons I’ve been too. The nail techs there would half the time cut my finger or pierce it.) She also comply to all my requests too on what designs I wanted on my nails too. When she was done, my nails looked really divine! A real pity I don’t live here! The services is just perfect! I HIGHLY recommend this salon if you live in the area! Ask for Tracy! She would massage your hand in between when she’s working on your nails!

I came to Beauty Sense first time this weekend to pamper myself with a special manicure and pedicure package. What a great experience! Tracy, my nail technician, did a wonderful job on my nails. She took time to work very detailing. My nails came out perfect and just exactly what I asked for. For the pedicure, it was heavenly. I had the Beauty Sense Special Pedicure, begin with the normal filing and callus removal, followed by an application of some kind of masks to rejuvenate the skins to make it feel and look soft and youthful. And then last, it’s the massage with some kind of Shea Cream. The massage was excellent. I did not want to leave. I really love this place. I’ll come back and bring my mom next time… Forgot to mention, all the ladies work here are very nice and professional.

Shady shady shady… I went here to get gel manicure and a pedicure with my sisters. Although they did a really good job, they did make one of my sisters nails bleed and told her they wouldn’t charge her for a upgrade in the design she picked as a result. Also we went because there was a promotion, however, Somehow the prices at the check out didnt add up. It seemed like they charged us an additional 20% more so with the promotion, it would’ve been the same price. They said we could save an additionally 10% if we paid in cash which we did. Finally they were really aggressive with the tip at the end. We walked out spending $ 70 for each person and I still feel like we were ripped off. On the plus, the services were pretty good and my feet had never been cleaner.

Great mani/​pedi but wish they had scrubbed my feet more. I went on a snowy day and there was no one else there — but it still took a while. Debatable if I will go back if I’m in the area…

I will never step back into Beauty Sense, I had the absolute worst service. Before my most recent visit, I had gone there about 4 or 5 times and received decent service; however, this time around I had someone new do my full set and gel polish. He was not the nicest person right off the bat, and as my appointment continued his attitude became worse. He cut me and made me bleed multiple times, messed up on my gel polish, attempted to redo them and messed up again, and made my acrylic nails extremely thin (causing them to break throughout the week); this is when the manager stepped in and was very accommodating.
I said before that the original nail tech had made my nails very thin, causing them to break throughout the week. When I went to get the first two nails fixed, they did it right away; however, when I returned the following day to get another fixed, they laughed at me and made me wait 15 minutes before telling me that it was an hour wait without an appointment. I understand a wait, but there were only 2 people ahead of me and at least 5 people working.

Until yesterday, I had gotten consistently great pedicures/​manicures. Yesterday was unfortunately not the case. I recommend calling ahead to get an appointment with a nail tech that has already proven they can deliver quality service. The owner/​manager is consistently accommodating and professional but unfortunately the inconsistency of the techs has left me a little dissatisfied:(

The service provided at this salon is inconsistent. My first visit was wonderful. The pedicure was one of the best I’ve ever had. Given my initial experience I was excited to return. However, my return visit was very disappointing. It was the worst pedicure I’ve ever had.
