Our waitress was incompetent. She kept forgetting things — glasses, cutlery, plates, but was great at trying to hustle us out of Facci nearly 90 minutes before closing. Oh, and offering a box for our leftovers multiple times while we were still eating our meal. Re the food — salads were good, but they are far too large for one person. How about offering a small and large portion? Pizza was sloppily put together and the bottom was far too undercooked. Suggestion: hire some professional wait staff, not just 16 year old kids. And pay more attention to the food.

Our experience here was fabulous! The food was excellently prepared, fresh and flavorful. Best Cream Crab soup I have ever had! Salmon was cooked to perfection. The cheese ravioli was obviously made fresh at the restaurant and they mushroom tomato cream sauce was wonderful.

The best thing about Facci besides the ambiance are their happy hour specials for appetizers. Their Stuffed Eggplant, for example, is pretty yummy and the portion sizable. The décor is trendy, yet comfy at the same time. However, it always seems to be really loud. And their entrees are bland, as if they are structuring their recipes to appeal to the most common denominator so as not to offend. I think it’s popular due more to the location(Turf Valley) and successful branding of their image than anything else.

Honestly, this place was nothing special. It’s crowded and in the middle of a very nice shopping center. There’s a lot to do around it. However, the portions were on the smaller side, the prices were on the more expensive side, the service was nothing to write home about and while they offer gluten-free pizza, that’s about all you can get. If they would have had more gluten-free options with bigger portions, this place would be getting a lot more stars from me.

Great spot. Wonderful ambiance and décor. Loved the food. Was excellent on what you need a restaurant’s food to be: palate, presentation and price. You can feel that someone was presenting you with a great food experience not just another plate to another customer on another day. I would love to do a friends get together or corporate event here. Drinking, eating and talking? Then this is the place. However I look forward to. slipping in alone to that tasting bar and watching them make my pizza while the flames dance in the oven. Ciao!

I went here last December and had a nice dinner with friends. We all got a few cocktails and dinner. My friends split some appetizers, and I opted for the gnocchi. It’s located in a shopping center in a recently developed area. We didn’t have to wait for a booth at the bar but the place was busy with holiday revelers and diners. I would go back but only if I were in the area.

Met a friend for dessert around 7:30pm. Got seated right away and got no pressure to vacate the table b/c we’re only having desserts. We both got the homemade tiramisu. Both the presentation and taste were excellent. The place itself, was pretty loud though. At times I had trouble hearing myself.

Came in for a glass of wine and salad and they treated me like I was invisible. Went next door to Grille 620 and I where I was treated like a Queen. It’s a no brainier.

Went to Facci’s last week BIG black curly hair sitting on top of the bread they served us… GROSS! Told manager, he took bread and offered nothing. We will NEVER go back. Sorry GINO, get new managers who at least care!

Love the ambiance, but unfortunately the food really is still very so so. You know you want to be able to go somewhere close to home and get a good slice of pizza, or some nice pasta and a drink. Every time I’ve gone there, I feel so disappointed. And I felt this way in Fulton and Ellicott city. Tonight I had the Vongole pasta with clams. I felt like I could have been eating at the beach with the wind blowing. Yeah sand all Up in my pasta, crunch, crunch, grit grit. I kindly mentioned this to the waitress. She said she’d pass the info on, she should have at least given us one dessert on the house, but she really did nothing. My friend, ordered the veal with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was decent, but not worth $ 22. Anyhow, I was hoping that dessert would make up for my poor meal. So I ordered tiramisu. Oh man this was probably the worst I have had anywhere. They sprinkled these toll house chocolate chips all over the tiramisu. Who does that?! I could go to friendly’s or Baskin Robbins if I wanted a dessert like that! Tiramisu is subtle and sophisticated. Not theirs, it had a big olé glob of whipped cream plopped down on the side with blueberries. Now if your tiramisu is good you don’t have to do all that trying to appeal to everyone weird stuff, just keep it simple! I just can’t go back, perhaps only for pizza and drinks, but never never for an Italian dinner.

I’ve been here before as a first timer. I’ve heard people speaking highly of Facci and it’s true. Great selection of wine. Fresh pasta dishes and a nice variety of seafood. I will definately try everything at least once.

Quite horrible what happened to people this weekend for Valentine’s Day. Hope all the money made on this Valentine’s Day is worth the loss of customers(throughout the year) that would have patronized this location and all other restaurants affiliated with this group.

Not sure if I was in a restaurant or a spoof filming of Night At The Roxbury? I came for a delicious fresh Italian meal and left with indigestion. The indigestion could have been spurred by the store bought sauce or the person pretending to be a DJ for«da club.»

Last week I had the privilege of attending Copper Canyon Grill’s Home for the Holidays Preview Meal. At the event I met The Unmanly Chef, he lives in Howard County and was able to suggest a few spots I hadn’t heard of. Of the places he suggested, the one I was most excited to try was Facci because I have a love-affair with pizza. One of my good friends recently moved out to Howard County suburbia and we are constantly looking for new places to try out there, but always end up at our favorite, The Ale House Columbia. Don’t get me wrong, the food out there is great! But sometimes there’s nothing more than Italian food and pizza to really hit the spot. It’s worth noting that we drove 20 minutes from my friends apartment in Columbia to a shopping center in Ellicott City and it looked as if we had not driven more than 10 feet. But that’s suburbia for you, every street looks the same! One of my friends that I was with, Stu, was pretty jazzed about being part of my restaurant review process. When we walked in there was a fire place suspended from the ceiling, which looked like a lovely place to sit and have drinks. As a group, the three of us decided to share a few things because everything looked so delicious. We started with the Polpette Casserole which was four meatballs in tomato sauce with grilled pita and shaved parmigiano cheese. The meatballs were incredibly juicy without a lot of filler(if any). I think I preferred these to the awesome ones at Joe Benny’s. Next, we shared the Caesar Salad. I’ve had quite a few different caesar salads, and I think that this was my favorite one. The salad had no particularly special ingredients to make it stand out, but the creamy dressing was delicious and evenly distributed throughout the salad, not just hitting the lettuce on the top. For our main courses, one of my friends decided to try the Pappardelle Bolognese. The pasta was homemade wide noodles in a creamy meat sauce. The meat in the bolognese was just as flavorful as the meatball. The pasta was delicious. Another clear winner was the Baked Ziti Rigate. My friend and I shared this and a pizza. Even though the baked ziti was made with penne pasta, the three cheese blend, tomato, and fresh basil were still delicious. The pizza that my friend and I shared was the Pesto. The pizza was topped with grilled chicken slices, pesto sauce, pine nuts, and roasted tomatoes. The pizza was good — but next time I would probably order one of the other pies that looked a little more interesting. While of all the food was outstanding, it is worth noting that the service was a little mediocre at first. We sat at the table for about ten minutes before the waiter showed up to take our drink order. But once he came over, the rest of the meal progressed seamlessly.

Great happy hour spot! I recently met friends for happy hour at Facci and took my husband back a few weeks later. I don’t get out too much with a toddler at home so that means it was GOOD! Love the interior, great atmosphere, bar seats were comfy, open kitchen, bar half open to the outside is awesome, and lots of outdoor seating. Oh and hooks at the bar to hang your purse, always a nice touch. Appetizers are great. I love the variety and 50% off at happy hour plus $ 1 off drinks is really a fantastic deal. My favorites so far are the Shrimp Gondola(individual shrimp on top of bread with Parmesan cream sauce on top = heaven), Shrimp Sambuca(love the fried tomato), and bruschetta. The meatballs were decent and the calamari was okay, but didn’t blow me away. I felt the 50% off prices were fantastic and both visits it was nice to share different things rather than committing to one entrée. The service at the bar has been pretty good. It was a little annoying when we wanted to sit at a table by the bar and the host told us they were for parties of 3 or more during happy hour. The bar was full and no one ever sat in those booths the whole time we were there. It was a little unclear to me where you had to sit for the happy hour specials. Also we had a rather large carryout order and leftovers which we were struggling to carry out and no one offered us a bag. Otherwise I was pretty happy. This is a good spot and I’m glad we have it nearby.

Facci’s a cute place. Their décor is modern and trendy, as are its clients. They play music you might expect to hear at an upscale hair salon. It wasn’t loud at all, so it didn’t bother me. Most of the clients seemed to be upper class yuppie types, but I walked in in flip flops and a battered Pink Floyd T-shirt and no one batted an eye. Service was very good. Our server was attentive and I didn’t have to stare about pointedly looking for someone to refill a drink. It’s in a newish, upscale and trendy shopping center, so while it certainly fits the bill, I can’t help but wonder how long that will last. When it loses its varnish, will it fade out?

Pizza was toasty n tasty… they have a stone oven which makes it all bubbly n warm n crispy… I like a little extra crisp for the crust. Fettuccini was also delicious as well as the drinks.

Came here for my bday! Its very pretty inside… but it was tight(IMO) WE waited about an hour FOR a table. I had on heels and my feet were SCREAMING. so i found a seat at the bar. Ordered a watermelon margarita… The bartender told me she didn’t have watermelon flavoring… So then I ordered a mango margarita… She says she don’t have mango… I started getting a little frustrated… So I asked her do she have peach… Of course she said no… In my sarcastic frustration I said well why don’t you tell me what you have! She said I have strawberry, so I said ok give me a strawberry margarita… She makes my drink… And bring it over to me… Only it wasn’t strawberry… She said oh… i found PEACH!!! So i made you a peach one! Which was good… Finally we were led to a table which was very tight, the waitress was very nice, I ordered a margarita pizza… I forgot what my date had, but it was a pasta dish… and to be honest I WASNTIMPRESSEDATALL… neither was he… i was actually kind of pissed that I drove 25 miles for mediocre(@best)food…when i drive more then 5 miles… i expect the food to have me moaning… and unfortunately i didn’t experience an foodgasm here!

Maybe I’m not used to «fine dining» but this place is up there in respect to the décor, food and wine choices! Upon entering, you face incredible design with a giant chandelier and a suspended fireplace in the waiting area. The bathroom sinks were so advanced that I didn’t even know how to operate them but luckily they had directions on under mirror on how to use them haha! You receive complimentary bread with a nice olive oil tray with lemon and orange infused water. The wine list in incredible and I highly recommend the Reisling(it’s not their House, but the waiter specified it’s the popular choice). Not only can they make pizzas in their giant exposed brick oven, but you can try all sorts of pastas, salads, and even a health-conscious section of the menu for those looking for low calorie/low card options. I ordered the Risotto Con Carne which was delicious risotto with chunks of filet mignon, mushrooms and carrots. The service was great and our waiter checked on us regularly. I also never knew this little shopping center existed off of Marriottsville Road which is essentially in the middle of no where. Nice little hidden gem that’s worth checking out if you love Italian and new, upscale atmosphere.

I have been to the other locations and have been pleased. I read the other Unilocal reviews and hoped that maybe some of the things that were noted had been rectified. Unfortunately they were not. Okay so this location is located in the somewhat new Turf Valley Shopping Center, which I think is pretty dope. Parking is fair, I don’t think that this place has been discovered by too many folk, most of the restaurants were pretty empty as well. We came during the end of HH, which is pretty cool; half off of appetizers and one dollar off of drinks. To start, we tried the Torre di Tonno, which is seared«medium rare» tuna with a mixture of avocado, peppers and a lemon aioli. IMO the tuna was overcooked, and it desperately needed additional seasoning. Although, we requested the aioli on the side, they forgot, and I honestly couldn’t even taste the flavors. I’m not sure if the mixture of tuna, wood fired peppers and avocado is my fave. I will give them this, they totally tried to correct their mistake of several occasions. Next we had the Shrimp Gondola, this had jumbo shrimp with roasted garlic parm cheese sauce on a piece of toast. It kinda reminded me of alfredo, I dug this dish, but then again, how could you mess this up? For dinner I had the Pizze Romina which is their traditional margarita pizza with sausage peppers and onions. I think this is supposedly what this place is known for, their wood fire grilled pizza. Unfortunately I was slightly underwhelmed. The pizza itself looked pretty, it had pretty decent flavors, however, it was kind of hard to get over the raw onions. They were really assertive. They were willing to accomodate us and put the pizza back in the grill, but what returned was onions that were underdone and a slightly burnt crust. Aside from this, the service itself was subpar. I sat at the table for about ten minutes prior to being greeted, and there were times when I felt that our server forgot about us. I can’t say it was extremly crowded, so I’m not certain what this can be attributed to. I believe that the manager was trying to pick up the slack, but seriously service needs to be improved. Hopefully with time, these issues will improve, and I can return and enjoy.
