I went to Studio K Salon for my wedding day. Kelly did my updo, all three of my bridesmaids updo’s and my makeup. She was phenomenal! The pace and timing worked out perfectly. My makeup and hair were beautiful and my girls looked incredible! Kelly recently cut my hair to a shorter length(post-wedding). She did a great job. I don’t trust a lot of people with giving me a new hairstyle, but I would trust this stylist with anything! I have gotten nothing but compliments. I live 45 minutes away and will continue to go to Studio K to get my hair cut until I move. It’s great!

I was getting my hair done the morning of my best friend’s wedding. I showed my stylist a picture of exactly what I wanted, and it was simple– I wanted my straight hair to have big, loose curls. That’s IT. No pinning, no updo, no nothin’. I was planning on dancing a lot and didn’t want to worry about anything fancy coming undone. She went at me with a curling iron, and the curls were coming out awesome, exactly how I wanted them. However, by the time she was finishing, the first few curls she had done had fallen flat– dead straight again. It was weird, I was finished and half of my hair was almost completely straight and the other half was exactly how I wanted it. I could tell she noticed this was was struggling touching them up. By the time she finished, she quietly asked if I liked it, knowing it wasn’t coming out well, and I told her they didn’t seem to be holding up. She hit them with a crapload of hairspray and sent me to makeup. My makeup went OK– the beautician was slightly heavy handed and my eye situation looked a little racoony but it was good otherwise. The woman who did it was very, very kind. At the end of the session she asked, ‘Uh, do you like your hair hun?’ By the time my makeup was done, about 30 mins after my hair, it was FLATFLATFLAT, it just looked like a greasy hot tangled mess. I told her I didn’t like it but not to worry about it, I didn’t want to bother anyone, however she insisted that she get it fixed. I’m not sure what happened when she went to do whatever she went to do, but next thing I know the manager storms in and loudly, rudely, asks me what the problem is. I ever so politely, professionally, understandingly, tell her that my very straight hair isn’t staying curled. She crassly, again, hit it with a sh*tload of hairspray and asked, ‘Good? Good.’ and walked away. I’m not confrontational. I paid and left. I wanted to cry walking out of this place. I looked ridiculous. My hair looked like a greasy rat’s nest, my raccoon eyes were like clown makeup, I was just cheated out of almost $ 200, and the wedding was in an hour. My hair looked so phenomenally dirty and flat that I ended up washing it immediately when I got back to my hotel and just styled it myself. My stylist sucked, the manager was unreasonably aggressive, and they couldn’t care less that I was not satisfied.

I had no idea this place existed since it is kind of tucked away and not marked all that well. The facility is nice, clean, and simple. It looks very new although I was told they have been there for several years. I had a massage here from Nora and it was very very good. She was thorough and listened to my requests. I don’t receive massages more than a few times a year because I am a massage therapist myself and 90% of the time I am so disappointed in the massage that I wish I hadn’t wasted my time or money. Nora definitely has a clue about how to be professional and give a relaxing yet therapeutic massage and it was well worth it, especially considering the very reasonable price. I will definitely return.
