I’ve been coming to this class since July 2011! Great cardio workout. Zumba(daytime mornings, the evening classes have since been canceled) is held with Tasha V. held at KJ’s ATA on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Whether one of the martial arts classes precedes or follows our Zumba hour, the KJ’s instructors are very pleasant and accommodating. Where else can we do Zumba(hand-weights available), throw in some pilates(the mat is perfect), and then have free self-defense quick lessons from the KJ teacher(because us women sure need it)? $ 5 a class(drop-in), used to be $ 45 for a 10-class punch card, but now get 10 classes for only $ 35(as of February 2015)! Great outlet for dancing away stress and start your Saturday morning off right! Mambo, cha-cha, salsa, bellydance, samba, Calypso, as well as fitness moves like standing abs work, arms and squats, all to fun Latin or Bollywood or current Top 40 songs by J. Lo, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Maroon 5, etc. All levels welcome, steps are pretty repetitive throughout the songs so it’s easy to pick up. Can always modify moves to be low or high-impact too.
