The online ordering is great. Rainy day in today, don’t want to drag the kids out to eat, nor to the store to get some groceries so. This honky will be ordering from Hong Kee. lol Oh and the food is good too.

Stuck at home with a sick kiddo and no groceries, we decided to order from this place. We figured if it wasn’t good at least we’d know, and if it was then maybe we would discover a new favorite place. Happy to say it was delicious and the staff is so friendly!!! We have ordered once a month since and hope this place stays open for years to come!!!

It’s the only Chinese restaurant that delivers near my area. And my family goes there all the time. I love it! AMAZING food.

I had a sick baby at home and my favorite Chinese restaurant does not deliver so I was hesistant to order from here. I am glad I did though, they delivered my food within 30 mins of submitting it online!(They got a huge tip too — I expressed my gratitude lol) Food was nice & hot!!! I ordered chicken fried rice, crab wontons, potstickers, & orange chicken. Everything was on point except the fried rice. I wasnt a big fan of it, but my 2 year old son enjoyed every bite and asked for THIRDS! lol Orange chicken was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I didnt see any crab meat in the won tons and they didnt put sauce to dip it. I need my sauce! Lol Overall, it was my 1st experience with them and I was satisfied…

We place a fairly large order on-line having never eaten here before. Very pleased with the process and our order was exactly as placed. We enjoyed everything ordered. We will definitely order again.

A friend of mine suggested stopping by this place when I was craving chow mein. We decided to go and I saw they have lunch specials. I got a huge plate of orange chicken and chow mein and it was only $ 6.50. I thought it would not taste as well since it was so low in price but it was delicious. They also served us a complimentary soup. I definitely suggest people to check this place out.

How about this place they were so nice. We got the menu and they had great lunch specials. A la carte is $ 5 or $ 6.50 for a combo. Great deals the soup was ok but the kung Pao chicken chow mein was pretty good. I think they have pretty good food and for the price. My friend got the Orange chicken with chow mein. Overall the food was good and the prices were amazing. I have to give this place

We use to be a frequent customer here, but they kept on changing their owners every year or so. Once they have a new owner, the food quality and chefs seem to change. When my family of 20 dines in, we spend at least $ 250-$ 300 or more not including tips, so indeed we expect great customer service. Unfortunately, the last couple of times, this place has disappointed us and we haven’t come back since. They were short on staffs(on a Saturday evening), food were coming out sooooooo slow. One plate at a time, once we finish 1 plate, another will come afterwards. Our water wasn’t filled. And I noticed other tables were getting irritated because they weren’t getting serviced. The enjoyment just wasn’t there anymore. The amount of food in a dish seem to be stingy now, but of course the price is still the most expensive compared to the other restaurants near by.

Customer service was good. Thank you for the experience. I ordered the lunch special A, 10.95, comes with soup of the day, and egg roll, beef and broccoli, chow mein, and sweet and sour pork. The soup of the day was extremely salty, with alot of msg, i can tell. The egg roll was mushy on the inside, with a little bit of meat, and it was just uneven. I have had this issue with egg rolls my self. When you refry egg rolls in old oil this is what happens. The beef and broccoli left this after taste in my mouth, the sauce was a little bitnover whelming, but it was a good effort. Not too bad. Sweet and sour pork was just really rubbery and dry, im not sure how old that pork is but it was not great. Chow mein was decent but i would not come back and would not reccomend this place. I would rather go two minutes down the street to Ms Garden.

Went here for dinner with my fanmily for easter with a group of 11 people. The food came out fast but the food was kind of bland and the portions arent very big.

It’s the local Chinese restaurant in the neighborhoods. The service is very friendly & they are fast. The quality and taste of food is also really good. It still taste authentic, fresh, and delicious. Some of my favorites are the special house fried rice, wonton soup, and chow mein. They also got a great dinner package. It’s a place that has been consistent with their food taste. I like the new ownership!

Recently moved to elk grove and have tried this location twice. Once as take out and once dine in. Our take out experience was not so good and felt everything was a cluster of grease and sodium. We ended up tossing most of it… Fast forward a week later, our family decided to dine in here. We understand that take out and dine in experiences are different so we took a chance. Holy crap was the food and experience different! Anyways the food was much better. We did tell them we wanted less oils and salt so that may have helped. Either way the food wasn’t a complete mess and was definitely edible. Their so call smoothed are basically watered down icies, so I’d avoid those. Decent food, alright pricing, make sure you request low sodium and less grease.

The last time I’ve been to this restaurant was when it was formerly known as Peach Garden and I don’t recall having a memorable experience. Now with a new restaurant and owner in place, I decided to stop by here for dinner with my mom one evening. We decided to order half an empress chicken, clams with xo sauce, ginger scallion crab, spicy eggplant & fish claypot along with stir-fry green beans.(More than enough for only two people!) The chicken tasted mediocre. I still have yet to try an empress chicken that tastes better than New Hong Kong Wok on Freeport Blvd. The accompanying garlic dip had way too much oil added which made it less«garlicky.» The meat was tender, but it was missing that hint of flavoring that I’m used to eating at HK Wok! The clams were a little disappointing; lots of empty shells served and the clams were super small. The sauce was okay, not as flavorful compared to other restaurants I’ve been too. The crab dish was delish, very saucy and good when eaten hot! I had initially ordered their oyster claypot, but they didn’t carry any oysters at the time so I opted for the eggplant & fish. The eggplant was great, not too spicy! Tastes delicious served in a hot claypot. The fish complimenting the dish wasn’t very good and I’ll probably ask to leave out the fish the next time. Green beans were super oily! This dish could have been better had they used less oil to stir fry. It was a little overcooked to my liking; I normally like my veggies with a little added crunch to it! All in all, this establishment is mediocre. It is one of the few Chinese restaurants I am aware of in the Elk Grove area. Service here was subpar, we were seated in the corner and received no attention. Had to waive down the waitress from more water, napkins & the check. Parking shouldn’t be a problem since there are plenty of spaces available. Definitely come give this place a try if you’re craving for Chinese food!

Tucked away in a corner, it’s hard for any restaurant to survive. Hong Kee now stands where Peach Garden, which went through multiple ownerships, used to be. When I first walked in, everything looked the same as before – the same tablecloth, the same curtains, and even the same dishes. Could this be yet another iteration of the failing Chinese restaurant? No, actually, it was quite good! We ordred one of the set menus, which we normally do when tryikng out a new Chinese resturant. The most inexpesive set was $ 38, and included a soup of the day, empress chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, Peking spare ribs, short ribs, and a vegetable dish. I’d say this is plenty of food for four people, and possibly five if you’re not huge eaters. The set menu was not the most exciting, but every dish was executed well. Everything seemed fresh and made well. Service was very attentive while being unobtrusive. At a distance, i could see that the waitress was keeping an eye on our table and was quick to react when needed. When we ran out of rice, she was already at our table picking up the rice bowl before we had a chance to ask. If I had one criticism, it would be that the chef was a bit heavy handed with the salt. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and am sure to be back.

The Husband and I stopped in for lunch at Hong Kee yesterday in the middle of a day of grueling chores and errands. The game was on, the place welcomed us with a swift, warm whiff of fresh seafood, and we were immediately acknowledged and sat at a nice table. The portions are substantial for their price, and everything things comes out to either fresh out of the frying pan, or ON one! The egg rolls are crisp but lack the excess grease that most have. The veggie chow mein comes with seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection, and the Mongolian Chicken I had was delicious, spicy and season just right. This place fits the bill for authentic chinese food. Definitely stop in when you’re in the area.

This Chinese restaurant is a little hard to find — tucked in a strip mall behind Walgreens and an auto store. It has also changed ownership and names several times. That said, we had a good meal tonight — our first time with the new name. The only downside(and reason why it wasn’t a 5 star review) was our soup. Westlake minced beef soup — while it looked and smelled good, the taste was meh. I had to add soy sauce and then only drank half. The rest of our meal was fantastic — tofu beef over rice and beef chow fun with black bean sauce. Both dishes were served steaming hot and very tasty. Although the restaurant was crowded when we entered we were served very quickly, seriously it was fast. Service was friendly. Overall good experience. With multiple Chinese food restaurants in the area this is the most authentic.
