Found a cockroach in my daikon radish. I ordered a dish for two. When I’d almost finished eating all my daikon radish, I noticed a black thing that stood out and took a closer look at it and realized it was a cockroach. I was so disgusted! I told the waitress, and all the waitress offered me was a new veggie plate. She didn’t even try to comp my meal not have any discount. I was so upset! I would give this place 0 stars if I could but I guess 1 star is ok since she apologize. Oh and I didn’t try to eat the new veggies because I’m sure the cockroach was probably bathing in the same bucket of daikon radish where the first one came from

My first two visits were great. The food was good and a very friendly and helpful gentleman took my order. On my third visit, a lady with glasses waited on my table. She was not very friendly and didn’t return to check on us once the food was delivered to our table. We asked for more rice paper, she counted exactly three to give to us and never returned. Rice paper is cheap, there is no reason to be stingy when a customer asks for more. If the restaurant can’t afford to supply more than three sheets of rice paper, charge the customer for it! I would not have minded paying. I usually tip 20−25% for service, but this waitress didn’t get a tip from me. Instead, I wrote a note on the credit card statement that she needs to improve on service. I won’t be returning.

The service here was great… even when they got very busy… and for 1pm in the afternoon… their lunch rush was still going. They greeted me and seated me as soon as I walked in. They also checked up on me constantly through the meal to ensure I was enjoying the food and that I had everything I needed. I ordered the fried egg rolls as an appetizer and the vermicelli noodles with BBQ pork for lunch. Both were very delicious and very fresh. I usually prefer the appetizers to come out first but in this it didn’t matter as they complimented my noodle dish. I also ordered a Thai iced tea which was refreshing on a very hot day. My total bill came to $ 18 and change after taxes which is pretty good since I got good quality food. I will more than likely be back here on Saturday with my mom after her appointment since it is just up the road. I’m sure she will like the food here too

Food is great. I love their crispy rolls they put in their spring rolls and the sauce is to did for. You can make your own spring too which is ok but for the price, it’s cheaper I think to buy then pre made. The pre made rolls are pretty good size and you get 4.

Had phở, vermicelli bowl and spring rolls. Phở tasted sweet and the other two dishes were not very tasty. My usual spot was closed so I figured I’d try something new. I will stick with my usual place.

Was here with my sisters for lunch! This place never disappoint me although it’s a little pricy but that doesn’t stop me from coming here. I loved their mi quan noodle soup and their famous spring roll. Me and my sisters ordered #2 on the appetizer menu because we prefer to have it wrapped it and the dipping sauce mmmm add some hot sauce and BAM! Will come back as always

First off, if you haven’t ordered Phở to go, beware! The meat is raw and comes wrapped. Apparently this is the way they do it at several places. The meat is supposed to cook in the broth. But by the time I was home the broth wasn’t as hot any more. I heated up the broth on the stove top with the meat in it only for a couple of minutes and viola! My phở bowl was ready to be assembled and devoured! They gave me a very good size portion and it was delicious! I also ordered the pork spring rolls and they were great. But do keep in mind it’s best to eat these that same day. I had some rolls left over and they simple weren’t as great the following day.

I ate here for the first time tonight and it was fun and very tasty! We got the number one and it came with rice wrappers, veggies, crispy rolls, Noodles and pork. You wrap your own roll with all the fixings and I must say it tasted great. The service was quick and the food was excellent! If you are looking for something different in EG try this place you will not be disappointed.

I came here based on the reviews from Unilocal. The inside was pretty nice. Great customer service! It’s a little expensive but it’s seriously worth it! $ 25 for the party of 2 :) We ordered 2 bowls of Phở and it was DELICIOUS! The soup doesn’t need anything added to it. It was perfect! It’s pretty quiet — nice atmosphere. Honestly they deserve the 5 stars. I didn’t have ANY problems while eating there. It’s really opening. Received our food within 10 minutes. It’s really worth it, I promise!

I ordered a pork vermacelli bowl and an egg roll to go. The pork’s a bit salty and greasy — it’s more like a sausage. The noodles are alright. Overall, my dish was just okay — not bad, but not good. I think there are better places in the area that offer more in terms of portion and flavor.

I’m obsessed with their spring rolls and spring roll sauce. Soo yummy. Portions are pretty big when it comes to everything on the menu. I’ve had their rice plates a few times and their vermicelli bowls as well. Both are really good.

Hungry for Phở(soup) or Nem Nuong Cuon(special marinated charbroiled pork roll)? This is the definitive restaurant in Elk Grove. I’ve been coming to Quan Nem Ninh Hoa for over 2 years now and their food always satisfies my family’s appetite. The best gauge of determining if the Phở soup base is excellent is by the amount of extra ingredients that need to be added such as Hoisin or Fish Sauce. At Quan, I don’t have to add any. The broth is already full of flavor. I just need to mix and cook the raw meat in the hot bowl before eating. Quan’s pork rolls are even more amazing! Every time I order a tray, it’s one of the first to be eaten up at parties and I always have compliments on where to buy more of this treat. If you have time, I recommend making your own pork roll to customize every ingredient to your preference. I can’t get enough of the carrot vegetable and peanut sauce mix! There’s several TVs to keep you entertained and the servers are typically easy to call over. As for recommendations, I’ve ordered other dishes outside of the 2 that I mentioned above and the food has been low to average quality with either the meat tasting too salty or just not as much attention as the other 2 primary dishes. So if that’s the case, Quan should just take the other items off the menu as this lowers their ratings.

I came here to try the chargrilled pork spring rolls. I ordered one order, which comes with four rolls. I’ll just make this short and sweet. Well, they didn’t deliver. There was no flavor. They forgot or just didn’t add the mint or cilantro. Plus they used iceberg lettuce instead of the green leafy kind. Mine didn’t look like some of the other folks photos. I was really disappointed. If it wasn’t for the dipping sauce, it would’ve just been a bland spring roll. I even tasted the chargrilled pork alone and it was flavorless. I will give it another try including their Banh Xeo!

Had dinner here last Friday for a friend’s birthday and the food Was good. We ordered: Spicy clam: I didn’t try it but it looked good. My friend said it was spicy and very tasty. It came with some rice chips that looked yummy. Pork spring rolls: We ordered the spring rolls that you roll yourself and it tasted bomb! I was kinda hesitant because I get lazy and preferred the kitchen rolling them for me but it was super fun experience. The pork was super juicy, the veggies were fresh and I loved the fried Winton paper you can add in the spring roll! Tendon and beef flank phở: Sadly not my favorite. They barely gave me enough broth and it was a bit too salty for me. The service was surprisingly good. Not the usual service you would expect in a Asian restaurant. Overall I would come back for spring rolls but not the phở.

WTH? I have not written a review about this place yet? YIKES! If you are seeing this review, you are now required to try this place out. I’ve been here countless amount of time and I have yet to leave this place unhappy. This restaurant is soOOOOOOOOOO consistent with spring rolls that I personally prefer this place to the more famous spot in Orange County. YES, I SAIDIT! This place is better than the spot in Orange County. You know what I’m talking about. This review is only for their House Special #1. I never had an interest to try anything else on their menu since this item is their specialty. If you have never had charbroiled pork spring rolls, this is a great place to try it out. For about $ 24 after tax and tip, you can have a fulfilling meal for two. Each order comes with about 6 skewers of meat, deep fried spring roll wrapper, rice wrapper, veggies and that delicious orange sauce that I have yet to find what goes into it. The sauce is straight up crack, I am not gonna lie. It is SUPERBOMB! Not only is the food good, it is fun to do as well. I used to be a very bad spring roll wrapper, but after centuries of tutelage under the Great Spring Roll Master Kelly Phan, I have perfected the art of rolling spring rolls. Holla at me if you want a personal lesson. Teach you how to roll, teach you, teach you how to roll. Staff are very nice and attentive. The convenience of a fast food joint with the elements of a sit down restaurant. What more can you ask for? If you made it this far in my review, you must be craving it now. Delicious meal, clean place, nice people but wish they had a soda fountain! They do have canned sodas though. Great food… loved loved loved the Nem Nuong Cuon(special BBQ charbroiled ground pork with fresh vegetables and a crispy wrap) — best Spring Roll ever!

Fresh spring rolls here are the best! Especially with the sauce, it is an original recipe that I have not had anywhere else! So I have been coming here for quite some time and realized I had never reviewed. Smh! This place is my routine go to for spring rolls. The taste of their spring rolls is savory and the added fried crispy wonton wrap is so good! My kids like to make their own(this is the first place I had experienced making my own spring rolls). They supply you with everything needed to make the rolls. If you ask you for more items like more carrot and radish or more rice papers they gladly accommodate. Every time I order a party platter I get at least one request as to where I went to get the spring rolls. I now am sure to take some menus so I can pass them out. I love my spring rolls from here! Yum! The servers are very nice and provide good friendly service. The newest thing here has been a recent change to their Phở recipe. I had tried it here once before and it was the last time. Let’s just say I was unimpressed and actually disappointed considering how excellent their spring rolls were. I talked with the girl up front and she told me their Phở had recently changed and it was really good. So I decided to take the family to have another go around. We ordered a spring roll plate(4 large rolls) and 1 large order of beef special Phở and a pork chop and rice plate. The spring rolls as always were awesome! The phở was good, much better than my prior experience. The only disappointment this time was the pork chop. It was much too salty. I couldn’t eat it after one bite. I am not sure whether this was an oversight and will attempt to try again sometime. All in all this is a 4 star place. There are a few TV’s to watch while waiting for food. The servers are nice and the food is flavorful and fresh! Yum!

Oh, nem nuong ! Order it, eat it, but not with a spoon. Swoon! Have you ever had brodards? If so, then you know what I’m talking about when I say that those nem nuong rolls are too fly for ! I didn’t say to die for because in actuality, Life’s too precious to die for food. Anyways, came here during the week they opened for lunch with bae. We got order happy and ended up ordering more than we can finish. From what I can remember, I did not like the banh xeo but loved the nem nuong rolls since they were VERY similar to brodards. By similar, I mean they have the crispy egg roll skin inside which gives it a different crunch compared to the fresh vegetables that are also included inside the roll. Same family that owns the nem nuong joint on Stockton Blvd so if you’re familiar with that location, you’ll know what to expect here. I’d come back for the rolls itself. You should too.

I never realized this was the same as the location on Stockton Boulevard — I just saw pictures of nem nuong cuon and wanted to go here haha. My boyfriend and I ordered a large beef phở and nem nuong cuon to share. The phở came out first, which was weird considering the spring rolls are an appetizer. We were more than halfway through our phở when the rolls finally came out. This was about 15 minutes later. Ugh that was disappointing. There were other customers, but it wasn’t like it was very busy. The rolls also seem relatively simple to make since they’re not fried … So not sure why it took so long. The rolls were alright. Seemed kinda heavy on mint/basil. The workers were also very slow with water refills. Their phở is standard and while the nem nuong cuon was decent, it felt over priced. It’s not really in my area either, so I probably won’t be returning any time soon.

Not your typical Vietnamese restaurant. I would say this restaurant offers different entrees than others(it’s a good thing). Servers were really nice and accommodating. Food were made from fresh ingredients. Aunt both enjoyed their Hot green tea here. Would come here again to try other menu items.

Once there’s the original location at Stockton Blvd, and there’s an another location for Quan Nem Ninh Hoa located at Elk Grove! I’ve been craving for Vietnamese food, so I decided to come there for a small lunch bite. As I entered, the atmosphere is very casual feel, and gives the good dining experience while dining in. The employees are very friendly and approachable for me, so there’s no problems at all! For the food ordering process, I started ordering the most favorite Vietnamese food, the Phở Tai which it’s a vermicelli noodles with rare steak in beef broth. So far, it tasted very good, yet there’s a few flaws for this Phở which it closely lacks the flavor. I added a squeeze of lime onto the Phở, and it did enhanced the Phở very well. The steak cooked very good after I turned over until the raw spots are gone. Not a bad meal after all! There’s a good, ample of parking right here, so you can park easier to dine in or carry out. In the end, the Elk Grove Quan Nem Ninh Hoa is a great Vietnamese restaurant where you can dine your favorite Vietnamese cuisines. I’ll might come back for more, and I highly recommend that place!

Oh how I love the Nem Nuong Cuon.. .LOL If I was a poet I would write an ode to Nem Nuong Cuon(pork spring rolls) but since I’m not a quick review would suffice. Since I have a major love for Vietnamese food I was very excited when this 2nd location opened because I had not been to the other location on Stockton Blvd. This was much more convenient and close to home. I can grab my dish soap and needs at Walmart, and some Spring Rolls to go! I have been to this restaurant many of times but have never dined in so my experiences are to-go only. After viewing the pictures poping up the 1st week they opened of the pork spring rolls I knew I had to try them. Why you might ask??? They are low-CARB!!! I couldn’t believe it, no noodles but still a rice paper wrapping and small little fried egg roll wrapper but minimal carbs. And these pork spring rolls are the #dabomb! I love the grilled pork sausage patty along with the crunchy veggies!!! To die for. Yes yes I know there are places like this in So Cal but I’m in No Cal, so to die for! For me they are a meal in themselves. But the one thing I have to mention is I sadly do not care for the orange special sauce. I prefer the other sauce, Nuoc Mam Cham(fish sauce, chili, sugar, etc.). Recently I did try the Phở which was just ok. For Phở in EG I prefer Phở Le. But when I’m in a pork spring roll mood, this is the only spot that comes too mind!

Get in for order to go, and will be ready for 15 minutes and its right on 15 minutes. Had a pork breakfast this morning, thinking about beef, but they dont have beef for the vermicelli on the menu, so grilled marinated chicken over vermicelli it is then. Chicken had a good flavor, hubby try a bite and really like it and said way better then from other Vietnamese noodle place.

I can’t believe this place is so close to home now! My friends and I came for the house special #1 where we got to make our own spring rolls. Each order allows you to make around a total of 8 rolls. You get nem nuong, crispy egg roll wrappers, lettuce, mint, slices of cucumber, daikon, etc. Basically, you get a ton of toppings to choose from. You may think 4 spring rolls per person is not much, but it’s actually REALLY filling! Service was also fantastic. We got checked on multiple times during our visit. Total came out to be about $ 9 per person after tax. So worth the deliciousness!
