I had a vermicelli noodle dish with pork and egg roll. It was tasty and large portioned. I appreciated the vinegar bottle on the table, as I usually like more than most places give you. They had an odd assortment on their menu, including quesadillas, tacos, and chicken nuggets. My friend had the bahn mi, which was good too. My only qualm was that our waitress never came back to check on us or refill lot drinks.

I had a real good experience with this place. I called in my order and I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I asked her that if it’s possible to order something off the menu and she said yes. My order was grilled pork over salad and for my co-workers #2 and #15. When I got there, the place was busy and there were a few people lined up. I saw one young lady running the whole place. She took the people’s orders, rang people up, and seated the patrons. She was energetic, smiley and very polite. When it was finally my turn I told her that I called in my order and she said me it will be ready in two minutes. I paid her and sat down at one of the vacant tables. Two minutes later my order came and she said«Have a wonderful day.» I really liked my well seasoned grilled pork along with the fresh green salad. My co-worker offered me their roll which looked like it had veggies and spam rolled all together. To my surprise it was really delicious. I liked that crunch in the middle of the roll when you bite into it. It’s their grilled pork party roll which I will get next time. My co-worker liked her pork noodle soup although she did complain about they didn’t give her enough shrimp.(It’s a pork noodle soup not a shrimp noodle soup for Christ sake.) Overall I was really happy how efficient they run this place. And a big thanks to the superwoman that runs it during lunch too. I will definitely come back and try their Mexican food. Weird to have Mexican food there but that’s cool with me as long as the food is good.

This place had excellent service and the best phở I have had! I ordered the seafood phở, exceptional. I was a far drive for me, but totally worth it! I will be back!

These guys work hard to make great food. We enjoy many meals here and have never been disappointed with flavor or service. Large portions of food are very affordable. Homemade food that’s fast

The coconut shake is really good here! I’ve been here a few times and the phở is pretty good. I’m looking forward to trying more of their menu, which even has nachos and burgers – something for everyone. I wish they had wifi since I think it’d be the perfect place for a study group to eat and work. Service is always good and friendly but they often seem understaffed. I think their food is not necessarily memorable but it is consistently good and decent and the ambiance is nice.

It had been some time since we had eaten here, so spouse and I stopped in for takeout a few days ago. I had forgotten what an interesting place this is. Large, clean seating area with a menu that goes on and on. This Vietnamese restaurant also offered everything from tacos to hamburgers. We sampled three menu items — phở beef, curried chicken and a cheeseburger/French fries. The phở beef was marvelous — tender slices of meat, chewy noodles and tasty herb garnish. We also enjoyed the curried rice which was seasoned perfectly. I was a little disappointed in the hamburger. Not much meat and the beef lacked flavor. Our order of French fries was just OK. The staff member who took our order was friendly and helpful. Food was prepared in a timely manner in view of what we ordered and our takeout food was packaged well for travel. I will come back to this restaurant soon and probably primarily order Vietnamese food.

I was staying in a near-by hotel and wanted some dinner. My friends and I actually went somewhere else first but the wait was an hour so I suggested we come to East West Café instead. We were greeted and seated right away, though then we got a bit confused as to whether someone would come take our order or if we should order at the counter. Finally I caught an employees attention and someone came to our table. My friends weren’t very familiar with Vietnamese food so they ordered combinations over rice. I ordered rice noodles with grilled shrimp and shrimp spring rolls(add mint). The spring rolls were great, though the peanut sauce that came with them was ever-so spicy so that sort of ruined it for me. The rice noodles with shrimp was good, a generous portion and nicely presented, but a couple of the shrimp were too lightly-cooked for my taste(bordering on sushi territory). Overall my friends liked their food, ate a lot, and I was content. Since I don’t live around here I’m sort of glad I didn’t love this place since it would be hard for me to return to. Food, service, speed was all«good» but not great. If I’m in town again I’ll probably try another new place instead of returning.

I have been coming here with my husband for years. The food has always been delicious. And you have a variety to choose from which is nice, when one person wants phở and another a burger or tacos. Or even Chinese dishes! Ever since they started making bunh mi I have been addicted! They’re always full of meat and veggies. And have a savory delicious flavor. And if you get the combo it’s even better. Fries and a drink with it! Their iced tea is another of my favorites. It’s probably so simple but I have to get it when i eat here. I have also had their com anh duc, vermicelli bowls, quesadilla, even there salads all of which are very good. I enjoy their phở too never seems to be overdone with msg or anything. I highly recommend this place especially if your trying to accommodate different kinds of eaters.

Went dinner here on a Saturday and was surprised that there is only one customer. Now I know why. Service is bad. We order Mongolian beef for our son and it was spicy. The menu did not say it was spicy. Will not be going back here again.

At first glance, it’s hard not to think that this restaurant is just trying to do too much. You’re telling me that I can get a bowl of phở and spring rolls, but ALSO get a quesadilla, a burger, and a pound of Louisiana shrimp boil? What in the… Regardless, because of its convenient location, we decided to try this place out. Playing it safe, we stuck with the Vietnamese part of the menu and ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Mi Quang. I was pleasantly surprised! The broth in both soups were very flavorful and not overly oily, like the way some other places make it. I will be back here in the future for these two noodle soups. However, on a second visit I was less thrilled. I tried the Hu Tieu — thin broth, no flavor, nasty imitation crab. Definitely skip. I also sampled the Banh Mi. Not bad, not amazing. It’ll do in a pinch but I’ve definitely had better. The bread is just not up to par. I’ve yet to venture off to the«West» part of the menu, and I’m not sure I ever will, but if I ever have a craving for some warm noodle soups(and winter is just around the corner!), you’ll find me back at this oddly eclectic restaurant.

The best ever~ Good services, clean restaurant. And super good quality for an average price. My #21 noodle — Bún Bò Hu — was real close with the ogirinal flavor from Viet Nam with all the beef, pork, pork blood,… My bf’s dish is Grill pork chop with fried rice. Fantasic! Best fried rice I ever had, also grill pork chop. This is the most satisfy meal I’ve ever had in US. Oh, and the hot tea, it smells jasmine lightly. I love it!!! This gonna be my favourite restaurant for sure! I’ll try to order different dishes each time and give more review ^v^

Supper dissatisfied with my lunch today. This is exactly what I was given(I only took a bite of the quesadilla) the picture in the menu shows the quesadilla being served with full portions of black beans and rice and also includes guacamole. I guess it’s my fault for not trying the phở lol. My friend ordered the same thing and a side of fries and everything tasted like egg roll oil. The steak tasted like teriyaki. It’s was all just really weird and expensive. I will probably be back to try the phở but NEVER this stuff again!!!

Nice place. Been here several times. Usually get the #35 phở noodles with beef balls and steak. Always comes with fresh bean sprouts, sliced fresh jalapeños, and a big fresh sprig of basil. Awesome. Portions are amazing and never leave you less than satisfied. And for 6 – 7 bucks you can’t beat that. Dining room is cheerful and roomy and hardly ever packed full. They also have a pretty good selection of American abs Asian favorites but I’ve never tried them. I go for the phở!

Customer service is good. Food is good. Not worth 5 stars but will pass for 4. Nice that they have straws, napkins, forks, spoons, condiments, and a bunch of other things on the table so you don’t have to ask for it

As soon as I saw that they now serve banh mi, I made sure to check it out the next time I was in the area. I’ve been here plenty of times in the past, however the appropriate time for me to write a review would be right after I tried that banh mi. Vietnamese food is one of the most comforting foods ever, hands down ! It’s so comforting, I can eat a bowl of phở in 100 degree weather and feel satisfied. East west has a different yet delicious tasting thit nuong(grilled pork) and its perfect with rice, vermicelli noodles, and banh mi. It’s my go to meat when I order banh mis, and today, It did not disappoint at east west. For $ 6 you get a pretty decent sized sandwich loaded with meat, pickled cucumber/daikon/carrot mix, cilantro, and jalapeños. I’ll be honest, $ 6 is pretty steep for a single sandwich considering $ 2 to $ 3 can get you the same portion on Stockton blvd but, it’s Elk Grove so we can’t expect that same price here. According to my Vietnamese lover boyfriend, what makes a banh mi is the baguette. If you ask me? I’d have to say it’s the filling. The baguette was soft yet held that toasty crunch. So A+ for that! The portion was very plentiful and they did not skimp out on anything ! Another A+ for that. I’d definitely come back for convenience and because they have good thit nuong banh mis :)

Hey, the place was clean and the food was good. They have an interesting variety of food. For example, they sell hamburgers, tacos, and hot wings in addition to their Phở.

Came here one night for dinner just to try it out. I ordered the pork & shrimp spring rolls and a banh mi beef sandwich. Average prices. The spring rolls were good but my favorite ones are still over on EG Blvd. The sandwich was pretty good, and they packed a lot of ingredients inside. I just wish they wouldn’t include the cilantro stems. Service was good — it wasn’t overly friendly or overly rude and they gave me a water refill when I desperately needed it after biting into a huge jalapeño. I’ll probably stick to my usual Vietnamese restaurant but this visit earned them a solid 3 stars.

A little more expensive then your normal phở spot. But I find that the quality of the meat they use is better. I LOVEPHO! I can have it any time of the day! I come here with my family and even by myself on my lunch break. They are always friendly. I’m always sat fast and food comes out with a minimal wait time. The restaurant has a cool menu they not only offer phở but tacos /burgers to name a few. I haven’t tried them but my husband and kids seem to like them. Definitely worth a try especially if your family is like mine and everyone wants something different.

Great phở and other Vietnamese food. I have been here a few times and have really enjoyed this place. My wife and I have only had the phở but they have a bunch of different types of food. The phở is great and you can get a large phở for less than $ 7. The phở comes with onions, sprouts and cilantro. The place has a nice atmosphere and a large parking lot. Wait staff was nice and prompt.
