Got the food to go. Don’t really care for any of the chicken dishes. The chicken taste weird, old chicken maybe? I don’t know I couldn’t figure it out. Lemon chicken dish had no lemon flavor: chicken covered in some brown sauce with load of chestnuts and bamboo shoots… pretty gross. Szechuan chicken: would’ve been ok if the chicken didn’t taste so gross. Bo bo platter is not worth ordering: Beef sticks– small, thin and dry. Fried dumplings– turn me off after i bit into it… what is this dry brown mystery meat drench in soy sauce? Egg rolls– okay Deep fried shrimp-okay Crab cheese wontons– pretty good Shrimp fried rice: pretty good, decent amount shrimp. House fried chow mein: okay We’ve eaten here previously before but have only ordered beef dishes. Will probably eat here again, only cause my husband likes the amount of food you get for the price and how quick the service is, but will definitely avoid all chicken dishes and potstickers and beef sticks.

Vegetarians beware! This place has about 12 items listed on the menu under its«Vegetarian» section. All but one of the dishes contains oyster sauce. They refused to make any of the dishes without the oyster sauce. The one dish that contains no oyster sauce is cream– based. After some negotiation, they agreed to make the moo-shu vegetables with soy sauce instead of oyster sauce. Unfortunately, the dish came out as shredded cabbage, onion, carrot, and a ton of scrambled egg. I’ve never seen a moo-shu vegetable made with egg, which I don’t eat. So I ate a couple spoonfuls of steamed rice and left. My boyfriend ordered the sweet and sour pork and he liked it. But if you’re vegetarian, beware, the dishes are not vegetarian-friendly. BTW, the service was slow and unfriendly.

New to Elk Grove and I thought no Chinese restaurant here could compare to the Chinese food back home in Hawaii! Love this place can’t wait to have my family here in February to them take here. Tried something different on Friday the sweet and sour shrimp ehhh sounds good but it’s actually not I would stick to the sweet and sour pork. Crab cheese wontons are bomb! I keep reading the reviews of the rude waitress I actually came across her recently yes she’s a prude but then again she is Asian lol isn’t that how they are in China?!? Just kidding the younger Asian waitress is a lot more Americanized so she’s friendly and upbeat I rather have her take my order then the older one

Came here yesterday for an early dinner. The prices weren’t bad, about average for the area. The place looked clean(didn’t use rest room). We ordered the shrimp chow mein and the pork chow mein, which came with egg flower soup, egg roll, and fried rice, and also potstickers. The service was excellent! The food came fast, even the potstickers! Our food was excellent and there was a lot of it! All in all it was a good experience and we’re looking forward to trying other menu choices. Definitely worth going back to.

Warning: this may be a biased review due to my satisfaction after multiple blunts and shots of Hennessy. I felt like I ordered damn near everything on the menu(literally). I was pleased with everything that came out of the kitchen. Out of all the dishes I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and the shrimp fried rice were my fav. This place lies in a grimy neighborhood but the food is delicious.

Growing up with a picking Chinese grandma I learned to be real picky with my Chinese food. This place has to be the best is sacramento. It’s a small little hole in the wall place but the food is great. The sweet and sour chicken is so crispy and saucy. By far one of my favorite dishes is the sesame beef. So delicious!!! They also serve hot sea food plates . If you haven’t tried this place please do.

DONOTGOHERE! The lady at the front is SORUDE with a blank face. She never understands what we say and always looks mad, therefore not making the place so welcoming. We kept ignoring this fact and going back to order food for pick up because the food tasted great for the price it was. Although we found something looking like a bug in the food and we will never be returning again. They denied it instead of trying to accommodate a returning customer. I will never step foot in this place.

Avoid this place at all cost!!! I used to come here all the time because it was convenient and close. But I will never go back because of horrible experience I had. We order some general chicken chicken chow mein and something else. When we came home there was bugs in the food and hair in the chow mein. I had seen hair in the food before also but never thought anything of it. The Asian lady who runs the show is disrespectful and rude. She needs to take a customer service class. There’s places that are cheaper and just a block away.

This is your typical hole in the wall. But the food is really good. I especially enjoyed the crab cream cheese wontons and wonton soup. The portions were typical of Chinese food as you could really overeat if you want. I would come back.

Great place to eat, there are two other chinese places in the area, but this place is definately the best. Great customer service, and it is extremely affordable to eat here. I highly recommend the egg flower soup and general chicken. Best Pork Fried Rice i have ever had in a chinese resturant. I will definately be back.

WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER! I wish 0 stars was an option. My boyfriend called and tried to order Mongolian beef. He asked her if they could put the crunchy things on the side(instead of on top) so they wouldn’t get soggy. She said they can’t do that. Umm why?! The beef comes with crunchy things on top, doesn’t make any sense why they couldn’t just put it on the side. And then when he tried to explain it further she said they would charge extra. Frustrated that she couldn’t understand anything and was being so rude, he hung up and I called instead, because he really wanted the Mongolian beef. So I order and ask her how long it would take to be ready. She said 5 – 10 mins and I told her I was on my way. She said okay and hung up. So 10 mins later my boyfriend walks in and tells her that I called and he was there to pick up the order. She tells him to pay so she can start making the food. Ummmm what?! You haven’t even started making the food? Seriously? Do not order for pick up they won’t make your food until you get there and pay! We left hungry and mad this place is a joke.

Smaller restaurant that serves pretty good food. Been here two separate times and both time my family were the only patrons in the place. The food is good, but the highlight for me was the fried potstickers. They were exceptionally good. The service is quick and the servers are very polite and engaging. I will definitely be going back.

I enjoy the food here, I haven’t sat down to eat at the restaurant because I normally order to go but the pick up service has always been great. Now for the details… The Food: I have ordered a variety of items off of the menu. My favorites are the chow mein, fried rice, and egg rolls. I have had the Mongolian beef, shrimp and snow peas, shrimp and vegetables, spicy string beans and maybe one other dish. Those were ok. Nothing special or something I would say I HAD to get the next time I go. The service: I have always ordered to go as my friend lives very close by and this is just our go-to chinese spot. The food is ready pretty quickly and ordering over the phone is simple enough. However, when making adjustments to the items, they have got it wrong each time. I know now just to order the items as is. Price: Everything on the menu is reasonably priced. Typical for any chinese restaurant. Overall, if i’m on that side of town and going to my friends house, i would order from M’s garden. Yes, I have had better chinese food and there are probably other places around that I might like more but this is not a bad option at all.

Saying that the food here is not good is an understatement. It is gross. I tried this place because it is right near my house… The potstickers already have the sauce inside of them so you cant control the flavor. The crab cream cheese wontons have no cream cheese and taste awful.

Small local Chinese restaurant in Vintage park area. Menu is a bit small, we ordered our fave dish tofu beef which was not on the menu but they made it for us and it was tasty. As it was our first visit we ordered basic items — beef chow me in with black bean sauce and shrimp won ton soup. All were served piping hot and tasty. Service was good. It’s a small place but not so much that you feel cramped. Definitely would ho again.

My boyfriend and I have been sick for days. I Unilocaled which place I could go to for some soup. On my way home from work, I called M’s Garden at 11:16. I was quoted 20 minutes. I got to This place at 11:41. I walked in, and this place only had one customer. There was no one at the front desk, and I waited there for about four minutes, counting. Finally, someone came out to ask me what I wanted to order. I told her I already put an order in, and she said oh yeah… I had to remind her. Then she ran into the kitchen to tell them what I ordered. She apologized and said she was on the phone with the health department. I was so upset that my order wasn’t even put in when I called, that I left. I will not becoming back to this place.
