We were looking for a room to spend the nite as we traveled across country. Crying baby in the back seat, he’s hungry and tired. I’m calling all the hotels I can find and they all have no vacancies. We pulled into the super 8 without much hope. The very nice lady at the desk says she has one room left and it has 3 full sized beds in our price range. I grabbed it although I was not sure what we’d think of the room. We were pleasantly surprised by our large room with fridge, microwave and flat screen tv. It’s a nice hotel with a friendly staff. They saved our night! BTW there is a very good Italian restaurant across from the hotel.

Overall: 3 — On day one of a three week vacation we stayed at Elk City’s Super 8. The next day, after traveling 4 hours to on to Tulsa Oklahoma my husband realized he had left $ 500 cash on the night stand back at the Super 8. I called Super 8 and they quickly found the cash. A check of that amount was in our mail box when we got home. Wow! Thanks! This happened a couple of years ago and when I was compelled to compliment another store I finally took the time to write this review. Been meaning too. The super 8 is a very comfortable 2 star hotel. This kind of integrity is reflected within the hotel. But my review has been deleted. Hmm I have no more interest in reading Unilocal reviews. I definitely need to use a different map app than the new iPhone maps. Its Unilocal reviews are quite bias

Don’t stay here. There was a major storm moving across the interstate and we were really tired and forced to stop for the night. I really wish we had either stopped in Oklahoma City or just plowed through to Amarillo. There was a loud and creepy looking bar next door and patron near-do-wells spilled into the hotel parking lot. Several loud semi trucks parked outside the room and kept their loud engines on all night. A bright parking lot light glared into the window all night. There was no grass in sight to walk my dog on, but only a trash littered and dangerous feeling parking lot(did I mention the creepy bar?). The room was clean, I guess, but certainly dingy and in bad need of a makeover. The service was friendly, but the free breakfast was stale. Unfortunately, the rates were higher than average for Super8s. I’ve paid a lot less for a lot better. I think we maybe slept for 4 hours we were so uncomfortable in the beds, and distracted by the light outside and noisy trucks.
