Village Inn

Honestly I’m very disappointed at this place… The service was GREAT but the food wasn’t good an the plates were so damn small! My food looked like I ordered from the kids section. This used to be my favorite place to eat but not no more. The prices went up an the food portions went smaller. My advice to you would be to go to IHOP or some different place.

I had breakfast here today, the place was busy, and you could tell the servers were kinda swamped, was about a 20 minute wait, we get seated, got greeted by this girl roughly 5 minutes later, she almost looked like she didn’t even want to wait on us lol, we let her know were also ready to order, she gets the drink order, and walks away fast as were telling her again were ready to order. I should note when she greeted us, I think she was holding in a fart, cause when she walked away fast, I heard a muffled noise that sounded like a fart, seconds later my speculation was reality, she crop dusted our section. Now, when she came back with our drinks took our orders, and that was the last we saw of her, cause a younger male took over and waited on us, I’m not sure why, I’m guessing it might have been cause that fart she had earlier caused some skid row on her underpants. Either way the food was good, the server that took over however, had this look like he was going to snap, and rip someones head off, I don’t blame him he looked like his section was filled with needy people with modified meals that are not on the menu, at one point when he was taking an order at a table next to ours, this table said they were ready, but kept changing there mind, 5 minutes later I saw red in his eyes, and a clamp down of the jaw bone like he was ready to give the yee old one two punch… Village Inn good food.

Ask for Rachel! She’s the best. So attentive and welcoming.
We generally go once a week and it’s a nice setting, with decent breakfast options. Great for family on a Sunday. Far less crowded than Cracker Barrel. I think i had their new western scramble last time and it was delicious, although not topped with the best avocado. Still delicious. And the pancakes were delicious also.

Saturday morning very busy we were told 5 – 10 minute wait and had a table in 5 minutes. Server was very busy but made a stop it our table to acknowledge we were there and would be with us in a minute. Drinks were prompt, food was quicker then expected with the amount of people there. Food was hot and just how we ordered it.
Paying the bull took quite awhile as they only seem to have the one register, but he was very friendly and apologized for the wait.
Would return here again, close to the children’s hospital too!

Go there frequently with a college group. Great place to go have food with friends. We had a reservation for another restaurant, but when we got there they told us we would have a 30 minute wait to be seated and another 30 minute wait for food. So I called these guys up and they seated us right away without any fuss. We had a group of 30 – 40. Service has always been great. I’ve always gone with larger groups so I am expecting a little longer for food deliveries and such. But for groups its a good place to get some late night food.

3 for a late night meal. We wanted something quick, easy, and not greasy! We were greeted and seated right away. Our server brought our beverages to us quickly, and took our order. I asked for ice water and iced tea with extra ice in both. Neither had much ice so I asked for a glass of ice for them. I had one iced tea refill PRIOR to the meal being served. It took a few minutes for the food to arrive, considered how empty the place was.
Our food came. Most of the food was fairly warm, not hot. The manager brought the ticket over, the order taker did not. In fact, we didn’t see her again until the meal was done. She asked if we needed anything. I said, yes, about 10 minutes ago refills would have been appropriate and 5 minutes ago clearing dirty dishes would have been nice. And we might have been talked into a piece of pie, but since we have not got great service tonight and we have the ticket, we are finished thank you.
I am reminded that VI is a great place for breakfast and maybe lunch. Never again for dinner. Staff simply isn’t trained well. SIDE NOTE: That is my experience in most VI’s in the Omaha metro area.

Great simple food at a great price (Average of $ 9-​$ 10) Just remember this place can get very busy on weekend mornings, especially right after church gets out so try to avoid this time or be prepared to wait.

When you go to Village Inn, your expectations should not be that high. You are looking at good, solid breakfast and a decent price. Village Inn delivers on those two expectations. The VIB menu offers lots of choices at a good price. Originality is a little thin but the «new» items on the menu may show improvement on that. Service was good if not a little slow but not disappointing.
Go in, read the paper, drink some coffee and enjoy a good breakfast at good price.

Delightful server, Kenny. Free pie Wednesday with any purchase. We bought coffee and had free triple berry pie. Delicious. Yes, service varies from day to day but the food is generally consistent and good. Breakfast any time. Huge menu. Nothing fancy, prices average. Worth a stop!

Food was okay and the waitress was nice, but it took MORE THAN AN HOUR between the time we ordered and the time we got our food.

Food was good and reasonably priced as always, but the service is slow and unconcerned as always.

I’ve seen Village Inns everywhere in NE so I wanted to try it out. I definitely did not expect it to be like an IHop. The interior plus the food is just another version of IHop. I did like their VIP deal though, where you can choose items from 4 lists and its only about $ 6 or $ 7. Although I really liked their strawberry crêpe, I will not be coming back here unless it’s the only restaurant open and I’m super hungry and have no food at home.
